  1. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) how are the critics not justified today? TOday is not about Ozzie but a lack of execution on offense and it was pathetic I mean the media and stuff. It's like we're trying our best to prove them right.
  2. Nothing like a losing streak to piss me off... Here come the critcs...
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) Big out here, get Pudge out and maybe Timo will hit one out. Teach me how to be that optimistic.
  4. Can we bash him without the racist hit?
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) Shingo on in the 11th.... I'm turning away from the TV. Lemme know what happens...
  6. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Man we are a sad bunch....literally begging for one run How the fock will we score against ace pitchers if we get to the playoffs Let's worry about winning tonight, consistently winning afer that to actually get to the playoffs, and then we can worry about ace pitchers and playoffs. One worry at a time.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) Nova Georgetown- probably could be considered a better game, although the Zona vs. Illinois game had a little more drama UNC-Georgetown- I'd say no, Illinois game was slightly better, Jordan's game winner was with a lot of time on the clock and Georgetown's last possession was awful MSU vs. Indiana St.- not even close, MSU won that game easily DePaul-Louisville-never seen it I know it was 2 OT though I wasn't the one who said Illinois vs. Arizona was the best tourney game ever but besides the Kentucky-Duke game there is not one game that clearly tops it. Duke-Kentucky, 'Nova-Georgetown, and NC St. clearly top it. There is no doubt in my mind about that, and anybody who turns the TV onto espn classic during Tournament time will probably be able to realize that. Those games get replayed enough so that it's obvious. I recommend you watch Magic vs. Bird again too. After that, I could probably make a case for about 20 more being better. I give illini and deron credit, but you have to admit 'Zona choked. That's what doesn't make it one of the greatest games, in my opinion.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) Aside from the Duke-Kentucky game name one game that is clearly better than the Illinois vs. Arizona game. 'Nova-Georgetown, '85 'Nough said. Also... UNC-Georgetown, '82 (Jordan) Michigan St.-Indiana St., '79 (Ever heard of Magic vs. Bird?) DePaul-Louisville, '78 (I can be a homer too.)
  9. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) Depaul-Dayton was prety embarrassing but not as embarrassing as sayin it was better than Illiniois-Arizona. He called illinois-arizona the best Tournament game of all time along with the NC-State win. C'mon now. I jokingly countered with that DePaul game because calling illinois-arizona the greatest game is obviously a homer call. Ih he was serious, that's just saying you're either a huge homer, or you have no knowledge of Tournament history. Let's use common sense here.
  10. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) that s*** ws amazing. IIRC thats where he switches the ball from left hand to right in mid air against the lakers right? Yeah.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) If you like the worst basketball ever played in an NCAA tournament game than yes it was better. I hope that comment was meant to be a joke. I was just pointing out that you were being biased. That was a great game. Don't hate.
  12. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) Greatest basketball game in the history of the NCAA except for the NC St Championship game vs Houston. I'm sure you're not biased or anything. DePaul-Dayton double overtime last year was better...
  13. QUOTE(BigNDfan80 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) First off, chill out. Second, I never said people on this board were not attending games. I said it's sad that a first place team in the city of Chicago is still getting under 20,000 fans to their home games. Are you going tonight?
  14. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:11 AM) Awesome flick. "What we've got heaa is............FAILURE to communicate" Between that and the part where Paul Newman eats 50 eggs made that a classic.
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) I am still not convinced we will win the AL Central either. We have played weak teams, and are still only 2 1/2 games ahead of a 2nd half team. It isn't hard to imagine the Twins winning the Central IMO. And based on history, you know the Twins will have a big run in them. We might have already seen ours. I could see that too, but I think it's the pessimist in me... This could turn out to be a special year. I mean, we can't just dismiss this good start. Regardless of who they beat or how they won, would you rather they lost a few more?

  20. harold reynolds broke it down, visually presented his interpretation of the incident, and said the umpire was correct "once again." 'Nough said. ESPN IS NEVER WRONG!
  21. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) Why, who do you like more on D out of the PG slot? Kidd.
  22. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) Tinsley is a beast on D, an unsung hero over there. The pre-brawl Pacers were an insane team, a Top 3 championship contender along with San Antonio and Detroit, IMO. If they'd have won it all this year, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised. Why, who do you like more on D out of the PG slot? I'm just saying, not a good example when you consider that we would be playing Miami next round (I'm confident we will). He's inconsistently missed a s***load of games, playing some and then sitting out a bunch, this year. And when he has played, he's looked to be playing verry gingerly on that foot.
  23. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) Nobody's gonna stop Wade, but your best bet to contain him is to put a defensive PG on him. I think that Duhon has more than held his own this year on D. It would be nice to have a superior defensive PG like Jamaal Tinsley, but those guys are beyond rare in this league. Duhon has been instrumental in our success this year, there's no question about it. Why even deny it. I'm more worried about guarding Shaq anyways. That's a powerful inside-outside game Miami has with those two. We'll play our hearts out, but that's just too much for the Bulls right now. And out of all the defensive PG's you could have used as an example, you choose Tinsley???
