  1. Our big men really need to play smart and avoid those calls. Although some of the calls were kinda bulls***, a lot of them were our guys putting themselves in bad positions and not playing smart. Noc, our 'dirtiest' player, was able to play the whole game because he not only played aggressively, but also played smart. The refs were calling some horrible fouls at the start, but maybe Tyson can acknowledge that while sitting on the bench and adjust. Tyson has to step it up for us to win this series. He's obviously the better big we have right now in our injury-depleted lineup. That'll be key in winning the series.
  2. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) After we lose a game he'll piss all over the Sox, don't you worry. Exactly. Why do we even care if he says good or bad things about us? It's all bulls***.
  3. It couldn't guess Balki from Perfect Strangers. I had to answer a couple of questions incorrectly to get it. "Is your cousin from the island of Mypos?" should have been a yes answer for Larry, not Balki...
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) http://www.smalltime.com/dictator.html I think this is the one LMB. Damn, it takes long. It wasn't easy, but I won this time. You are player number 5 to have chosen Carlton Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Carlton Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was a tough one, but I've had a lot of practice. Thanks for giving me something to do. Please visit again soon.
  5. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 04:09 AM) To the Roadhouse...I mean...Sports Bar with you both! LOL
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:44 AM) :headshake
  7. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) End of the bulls from me in this thread.
  8. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:34 AM) I just said hinrich missed two in the same game i thought? Don't believe i was defending pike. You said you were done posting about the Bulls in this thread I thought? piatkowski was a few steps ahead of everybody on a fast break. :headshake I only recall Kirk missing one, and it was him slashing into the lane while being contested. BIG difference.
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) :headshake Hinrich missed two in the same game. End of the bulls from me in this thread. Hinrich was vital in the win. piatkowski played like s***. Are you seriously trying to defend the game he had? :headshake
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:05 AM) Yasny's post has him sixth and that is who jabroni quoted. I was just pointing out it would be two spots rather than one. jabroni had him batting 7th and yasny had him batting 6th. I was just pointing out it would be one spot.
  11. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:01 AM) He has only hit 8th and 9th this season. I was talking about his projected lineup.
  12. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) The only problem I have with that lineup is Crede batting sixth. I know this may sound like BS but why move Crede up in the lineup and put more pressure on him to produce? He is having great success batting in the lower third of the order. In other words, why mess with a good thing? I have a feeling batting one spot higher won't kill him.
  13. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) Godliness ain't the first thing that comes to mind when I hear that name, but he definitely gets an A for effort. He should try harder on layups...
  14. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:09 AM) If I have to hear about how so and so supported him all along one more time, I'm gonna off myself. I SUPPORTED HIM ALL ALONG!
  15. QUOTE(Spiff @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) I'm glad Reggie is retiring, I don't get all this sentimental bulls***. Go home Reggie, you've never won anything and you won't ever win anything. You're a little b**** who whines about everything. Your little BS tactics should never have worked but somehow the idiot refs fell for it. Beat it. Watching that pansy jump around while twirling in the air like a little girl after he hit a shot to beat the Bulls that one time sealed the deal on my dislike for him. And yes, he was quite the whiner. All of his b****ing nullified his few and far in between clutch shots for me. I hated seeing him whine and complain when he wouldn't get his way...
  16. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) Jim's post did bring to mind something that I do see often today that I didn't see back then: Mall like walking. I see this mostly from teens & young adults around the concourse. These kids are not there to watch the ball game as much as they are there to hang out. They rarely sit in their seats & just seem to walk around & talk on cell phones. It is so reminiscent of what you see at malls like Woodfield. Jim's description of these fans being "clueless" fits them to the letter. They trully are clueless. I would bet if you asked any of them what the score was or who was playing where or who was at bat or who was pitching I doubt they could tell you without looking up at the boards or the game. I would imagine the skills section is going to increase that crowd. I guess I have mixed feelings about it. They are young fans & we need to grow that part of the fan base so I appreciate their support. But I also realize they have no intention of sitting in their seats & watching the game. They are there primarily to see who else is & to hang out with friends. It doesn't bother me too much. I love my seats behind the Sox bullpen when I get them. My kids between innings will sometimes go to the front seats & ask the players questions. They loved Koch for his attention to the fans. When I add it all up I realize these new "clueless" fans could mean the difference between a mid 60 & mid 70 payroll. That could be the difference between winning or losing a World Series. That's something I can tolerate.
  17. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) As long as he keeps pitching like this he can go out there and start ballet dancing wearing a pink tutu and singing love songs for all I care. Seriously. I'm more concerned on his performance on the field. As long as the team continues to win, he carry a purse and paint his nails, provided that it isn't detrimental to the team...
  18. Good call on an NBA playoffs thread. There's been some nice highlights in the playoffs too... That T-Mac dunk on bradley tonight was bad-ass... Was it 'Melo last night that got a nice pass going backdoor with bowen left not knowing what the hell happened? Straight clownin'
  19. QUOTE(ISF @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) I think we should just start a "We Suck" thread and merge the House of Cards topic into it with this one.
  20. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Whoa good stuff from both Juggs and Cerb. I agree with half of your post.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) I saw this video this morning.. it's obvious that they weren't using force, and I agree with those saying it's not a big deal. I think the actions were meant to scare her.. and if that will stop her from assulting others in the future, then I am for it. I would have thanked the police.. then my sweet child would have a date with the time out corner when she got home. time-out? I was given a date with a slipper spanking. By the way, thanks for an acronym-free post.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Seriously, I just don't understand why some people are so worried about where stuff gets posted. If it is egregiously in the wrong place, one of us will move it. A simple suggestion that got blown out of proportion. It was just strange reading it in multiple places. Kinda a Matrix deja vu thing. My bad. Didn't know the cavalry would get riled up. :rolly
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) Does it matter? Nope. I'm gonna go make a similar thread on the boards that were missed.
