QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) How about this, every year, the U.S. gov tracks down (and they can) those illegals who have been the most hard working and grants them citizenship. The same number of welfare and aid recipients get deported, deal? lol I like it.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) All of them. Being in the USA illegally is a felony. Making a living, supporting themselves and their families...it just doesn't seem very criminal to me.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) If you actually go back and read what I posted, I am very much in favor of streamlined immigration and/or a big expanded guest worker program. I have no problem with legal means being utilized. I do have a problem going for my tax dollars supporting felonious activity. Why should we reward illegal activity, that doesn't make any sense. Especially when the jobs they are taking are most likely being taken away from from new immigrants who have historically worked the least desirable jobs. What kind of reward is following the law then? What kind of message are we sending? What % are felons and what felonious activities are being supported? I missed that part...

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:07 PM) You are missing my point. Canadians wanting to take an extended vacation in the US are treated different than Mexicans. That doesn't seem fair. Which will harm the economy more, $2.00 gas or a 15% increase in the food bills? Like it or not, or agricultural economy is running strong because of illegal labor. We need to find a way to utilize this labor pool in a legal manner, not try and just cut off the border and do without. That it terribly short sided. I hope you mean that illegal immigrants should be able to work jobs they are most qualified for and not just relegated to the manual labor than most people want... I'll assume you did. The last time we placed people into field work while only providing the bare essentials...

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 03:54 AM) Yep, and neither are these guys: 5. Allen Iverson (Philadelphia 76ers) 6. LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) 7. Steve Francis (Orlando Magic) 8. Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat) And they all rank ahead of Kirk. So by your logic, only Nash, knight, marbury, and Kidd are true point guards? I didn't know you have to rank ahead of anybody who also can play the 2-guard (or 3) to be a point guard. My point was that Kirk is a point guard, and he's the best one on the Bulls. -
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) s***, I read that wrong... Those that are hard-working do have the opportunities to do all of those things, and I see it as a positive.
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) Now for those terrible illegals we need to stop. What are they trying to do? Open up a Dental office? Sell stocks? Pass their CPA exam? Nope, they are looking for manual labor jobs that no one else wants.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 09:00 AM) Myself, I firmly believe that we need to make it impossible for illegal immigrants to be granted amnesty and/or citizenship, ever. Why??? So all hard-working illegal immigrants having a positive effect on the economy while working hard in the true American spirit should be deported?

I can't even believe you guys are turning this into an actual discussion.... Bulls fans UNDERrating Kirk??? Hinrich-6.7 assists per game Duhon-5.0 assists per game Almost TWO more assists per game while playing the shooting guard position. Enough said. Stop kidding yourselves, Duhon isn't more than a backup. -

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) Duhon is the best point guard on the Bulls roster. This does not mean that he is a better player than either Hinrich or Gordon, all things considered. What this means is that Hinrich and Gordon are not cut out for the point. Don't get it twisted. Nope. Hinrich is the better point guard. It was already stated above, Duhon has no offense. A true point guard also needs to be able to score to keep defenses honest. Penetrating, hitting jump shots, etc...it's all part of being a point guard too. When on the court you have to be able to efficiently contribute in all of these facets of the game (Except Chandler...He just has to rebound). You're mistaking having to pass out of necessity because of a lack of an offensive presence with being a true point guard. -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) maybe these redneck racist fascists would fold up their rebel flags go home, clean their guns & lynch a few n*****s instead. :rolly Green or not, that's some f***ed up s***... Anyways, why deny racial undertones? Let's not pretend that racism isn't alive and well today... "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door! But only if they're white!"

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) Duhon is the better point guard. Nope. -
Anyways, can we say that both had good games (with one scoring more than the other)?
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Altering a shot is just as good as blocking one, but you know living by box scores is fun I watched the game and counted, Eddy on one hand, Tyson on the other.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) You do realize that he has a certain role on this team... Block shots? Eddy-2 blocks Tyson-0 blocks
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) The thing I love about Tyson is he knows his capabilities on offense and doesn't try to do to much. 5 of 6 from the floor 3 of 3 from the line 13 points 14 boards Is that why he doesn't try to learn a post move?
-
Hey, qwerty... Eddy was 5-5 at the line, Tyson 3-3... 75% is actually a nice goal for both. I just hate seeing Eddy before when he would rush the first and miss, make the 2nd...

So, playoff spot predictions?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) BUT HOW MANY STEALS DO THEY HAVE????? Curry: 0-0 3 pt. Chandler: 0-0 3pt.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Wouldn't that be awesome if deng can become the player he is most offently compared to? I don't think he will be the rebounder marion is but i think eight per game is very possible for him to get. Show me 3 articles where he's compared...No, I'm kidding... Yeah, that would be great. I really like Deng. He's got more basketball IQ than Curry and Chandler combined.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) I f***ING LOVE TYSON Shocking.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Marion Childress Chandler Are all sweeter. lol My goal in life is to learn how to shoot 3's like the Matrix. He's surprisingly effective. He's got 26 and 11 boards through the third, 3-8 on 3's, for all of us with him on our fantasy team...

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) I am not the only that thinks so about miller. At the very least he is top three. Just take a close look. I actually think peja's shot is sorta funny but effective. I agree that allen's is sweet also. He sort of flicks his hand off to the side after a shot... Peja's shot is definitely strange, but I just like it when he shoots.
