  1. Further proof that wsi is a s***ty, vastly inferior website...
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Staches are to honor Kevin Hickey. Started reading up on him when they were bringing him up on the telecast. Great story. And he's from my old 'hood, Brighton Park. Actually grew up a couple blocks from me and my grammar school. Loved hearing his story and the impact he had on the team.
  3. I met a gin-soaked barroom queen in Memphis She had a moist vagina she took the midnight train going anywhere I said train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long With a heave and a ho Well don't you know that's the sound of the men working on the chain gang Oh, Oh, these chains of love got a hold on me, yeah. One of these mornings the chain is gonna break Chain, chain, chain (Chain...chain...chain..) Chain of fools! Wise Men say only fools rush in You got no money, you got no car, you got no woman, and there you are Sittin' downtown in a railway station, one toke over the line I don't get angry when my Mom smokes pot, Hits the bottle and goes right to the rock She's so high, like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc or Aphrodite Dear mother can you hear me laughing? Mama, I just killed a man A bullet had found him, His blood ran as he cried, No money could save him , So he laid down and he died "Where'd ya get the gun, John?" Told him take off all his clothes and put your penis next to mine And the Bulge in my big big big big big big big big big big big big big big BIG Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass, I like having a detachable penis. Swingin' to the drums, swingin' to guitar, swingin' to the bass in the back of my car Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm, Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
  4. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) My only question with AK47 is how that affects the development of Derrick Williams. They seemed be shopping him pretty hard from the rumors I was reading, which is kind of crazy to me. You just took the guy #2! Give the kid a chance! They kind of did the same thing with Beasley, though at least he got a true shot at SF. The problem is IMO both of those guys are best as small-ball 4's and that's Love's position too. Still, they're not exactly maximizing the talents of these guys. How did they kinda do the same with b-easy? I hope you're not still "high" on him since your better-than-DRose prediction ;p And I think your, along with soxbadger's, first-year stats predictions for Anthony Davis are wayy too conservative/low...
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 10:46 PM) Prepaid plans are the way to go now if you're not a super heavy data user. I got my Galaxy Nexus for $350 and I pay $45 a month for unlimited calls and texting and basically unlimited (5 GB max) data. You can say that the iPhone is this much better than any Android or Windows phone, but that's saving a lot of money over 2 years. I'd have to pay at least $80 + the ridiculous 20% taxes on phone bills if I were to go get an iPhone from AT&T. The same applies for every other postpaid carrier. I have a little more cash to blow than the average college student since I do have a job year-round as a co-op, but that $1000 is a lot in my eyes and the eyes of most people in their early 20s. I'm seriously considering doing the same. I upgraded a few days ago to the SGS3 on sprint, but sprint is threatening to take away my discount. I've got a few more days to make the switch, so I wanna just buy the Galaxy Nexus and put it on a Straight Talk plan. Can you give any feedback on that plan with the GN? I'm in Chicago, btw. Is it a t-mobile sim or an att sim? Or is there a choice? If so, which is better: t-mobile coverage in Chicago, specifically south side, or att coverage? thnx
  6. I have no idea how to do those spoiler things :/
  7. Welp, that coulda been a lot worse? Obviously gotta get some sort of offense going...
  8. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) Dave Kaplan is just a total asshole. He just throws s*** out there. A total waste of a human. lol, well damn
  9. If people are fitting the Note in their slim fit pants pockets just fine, the size of the One X and SGS3 are not too big AT ALL.
  10. Hes just conserving his energy for the plate
  11. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 03:21 PM) He's a freak athlete in the sense that he's a great help side and rim defender. We'll see if our defense and rebounding suffers with him gone. I'm expecting that it will, and it will be noticeable. Hopefully our bench makes up for it by scoring more. He has freakishly terrible hands and looked like he regressed in his 2nd season. Kinda sad that this is all Bulls fans have to debate this offseason...
  12. Soccer teams have been doing it for years and years so it kinda just fits now, but yeah, it would look absolutely disgusting on NBA jerseys. I wish it could be optional because they may even fit perfectly fine on a bobcats jersey, for example, but absolutely butcher a classic jersey like the Bulls or celtics. Unfortunately, knowing jerry...
  13. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 02:20 PM) I'm going to respectfully disagree. I felt it was the best of the three, but people won't like it if they're expecting non-stop action. It's kind of like Casino Royale in that it pulls on your emotions and you don't expect it to do so, that much. The ending was long. Very long. And the ending was not predictable. You're basically taking guesses at how it ends. Some will be right, some will be wrong. I'd say, more people are wrong. I'll only say that much unless we get a spoiler thread going. TDK was MUCH better, IMHO. Although Joker obviously wasn't gonna be topped, I liked Bane. TDKR feels a bit too forced a lot of times, though. And yeah, I wasn't expecting the ending and appreciate a good twist, BUT Alfred basically reciting the ben affleck speech in good will hunting at the end kinda irked me. I mean, really??! As for Bane's voice, I think it's BADASS. I am currently working on it as we speak, and doing a horrible job at it, but it still feels pretty cool to recite some of the badass stuff he says The Batman voice has been ridiculous since day 1... And I will be seeking the medical expertise from prisoners in remote holes in case of a serious spinal injury...
  14. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) If Knicks didn't match Jeremy Lin's offer, it sounds pretty silly for us to match Asik's contract given it would cost us over $30 million including the luxury tax in the third year. At the end of the day. Lin is still a starter caliber point guard, and his influence and marketability off the court is even greater than his performance, yet the Knicks opt to get creative and found a cheaper option instead. It's the New York f***ING Knicks we are talking about, it makes no sense for us spend money the Knicks wouldn't even spend for a lesser player on and off the court. I really hope Gar Forman was bluffing about matching the offer. Asik is a great fit for our team, and I couldn't imagine the team publicly telling other teams they are not going to match him before he even receive a formal offer. The Knicks were even firm about matching Lin's offer right after he got the offer. I hope the Bulls are just using the same tactic. We can only hope...
  15. Kyrie Irving is really likeable. And asik regressed last season, along with having some of the worst hands in the league. Not worth it.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 12:59 PM) Its MSU depending on how much Cal pays his AAU coach for him. DePaul would be awesome though. No, not really. The Parkers seem wayy different than say Anthony Davis' dad, for example. Sonny and his wife sure aren't gonna be swayed by the Irvins. The outliers on the list reflect the family connections, beliefs, etc. And yeah, the consensus seems to be MSU, with Duke right behind, but who knows?? It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. And my hopes aren't really up at all. I'll go insane if it happens though. I'd even get season tickets again at the ol' AA dump. Some people say Rose was wayy closer to coming DePaul than most people will ever know, but what good does that do us?? That's why I sure as hell am not gonna get excited at all about it unless it actually happens.
  17. I'm not holding my breath...but it's not like there wouldn't be top-tier guys that would wanna come play with him too, making a rather quick turnaround. Better to be on the list than off it at this point, I guess
  18. I'd HIGHLY recommend a bikini top for your wife. Stars and stripes will still be very acceptable
  19. I go with Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. Haven't had any problems. I'm curious to see that rumored Nexus tablet. Also, I'm hoping to get the Galaxy S 3 when I'm eligible next month. Too bad HTC didn't go with a removeable battery. And nothing else really seems to be in the near-future horizon...
  20. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) Wait, you don't like the 71-75 throwbacks? I thought everyone did. Makes me want to get a Melton, Allen, or yes, even a Bahnsen jersey. I totally agree with the poster who suggested the powder blue road unis from the same period on away Sundays. I sure don't. Nothin' special, and there's many other jerseys throughout history that I like a lot more. Much cleaner than the wide-collared ones at least...I'll give them that. That particular S shape on the hat has always irked me, though. The powder blue road unis are INFINITELY better looking, and probably one of my favorites lookswise.
