I saw Rudo y Cursi tonight. Bootlegs are great. Anyways, it's a Mexican movie directed by the brother of the guy who directed Y Tu Mama Tambien and the third harry potter movie, and it stars Gael García Bernal. It's about two brothers from a poor town and the struggles they go through from the fame and money they get playing pro soccer. It's pretty good.

slumdog millionaire finally made it to PPV (I luv FTA). It was incredibly mediocre.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 14, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) I cannot even imagine tearing it and the residual pain that would accompany that. Not really much pain at all, just discomfort. That's just from my experience, and I didn't do any physical activity so soon afterwards, much less pitching. On the one hand, he's gotta get get used to it and play through some discomfort, which takes time, and on the other, he's old and his skills have diminished.

Jordan vs. LeBron, who you got?
SleepyWhiteSox replied to Steve9347's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (Paint it Black @ May 8, 2009 -> 08:58 AM) Totally agree. LeBron is doing things MJ wished he could have done at 24. Better 3 point shooter and overall just a better polished game considering his age. WOW -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 7, 2009 -> 06:20 AM) If you were starting a franchise... whom would you select? You get said player as he enters the NBA. I'd be taking LeBron. I love Jordan, but LeBron, in my mind, might already be as good as Jordan ever was... at 24. Stick to hockey... -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 4, 2009 -> 08:21 PM) Hey, at least Swish isn't hitting... Oh, Wait. Yeah, yeah financial reasons...still didn't make sense to trade for someone at close to their highest value and then turn around and basically immediately trade him at his absolute lowest value...

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2009 -> 09:17 PM) And Tyrus played what, 18 minutes? The whole 2nd half, we never switched up from the small lineup. 4 guards and either Noah or Miller. We played right in to their hands. I've realized that no Bulls Coach is ever going to play Tyrus. They always get seduced by the small lineup, whether he's being effective or not, or whether size is killing us or not. They'd rather lose with the small lineup than risk having him do something wrong. It's time to trade him. If you're in a series like this and you're going to bench him for the 2nd half in every game regardless of how it goes, then there's no reason to keep him. Please somehow move him in a deal for Bosh. I'm so sick of seeing him on the bench for us while we lose games because of the small lineup. I only watched the first half, but it makes sense that tyrus didn't play much... Isn't wade gonna come? -

The best Ricobene's is the original. YES, there is a difference. But the one on Pulaski is by my house, and it definitely hits the spot and gets the job done... -

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 07:42 PM) So there are others, huh? My 4 year old son is a huge fan and can sit through a whole game and ask questions that are Jermaine, er germane to the action. I am so confident that he would not mess up a game experience for me that I took him to the first home playoff game last year. It was a make-up since I left him home for the blackout game. He was pissed at me for days about that. He loves AJ, Jermaine, CQ, and especially "Alisay". Even asks when Dayan Viciedo is going to play. Last night my parents fell asleep with the Bulls game on in their room, and he managed to sneak in and watch the overtimes. When I saw him get out of the bathroom after peeing before the 3rd OT started, he whispered "They're tied" He should have been asleep by 9, but how could I be mad?? Today after his soccer practice, he asked me if I saw Joakim Noah's dunk.... Start them early! He was watching Bulls DVDs with me since he was 3 so he knows about MJ, Pippen, and Rodman ("his hair is crazy"), and it was too cute when he asked my why Jordan doesn't play with Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, and Joakim Noah (he calls them by their full names a lot lol). -

Lindy's Chili Take the train/bus Park at De La Salle get kids club packs even if you don't have kids, go to a weekday day game and move around to a better seat don't abuse my suggestions because I like to use them I took my 5-year-old brother (4 at the time) for his 1st games, 4 altogether, last season and he luved it. Dye hit a homer at his 1st game so that's his favorite player. He's adorable in his Quentin t-shirt. He likes to get nachos. He sits through almost the whole game, probably because he's used to watching them on TV with me too, but I usually bring some Hot Wheels or action figures for him in case he gets bored and walk around with him, especially to the kids Fundamentals section. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 23, 2009 -> 11:38 PM) Never underestimate youth and inexperience against a proven champion (even without their best player). I think tonight was a true reality check for the Bulls and Bulls fans. Way too much hype after the game 1 win. Letting game 2 slip away cost the series. To this day I do not understand the del negro signing... -
I just purchased one a couple of weeks ago. Every couple of months or so, foot locker (along with champs and footaction which it owns) has a 30% "friends and family" printable coupon. New Era 59/50 caps are not excluded. Look for it on slickdeals.net.

MLB Power Rankings...cbssports, Sox climbing
SleepyWhiteSox replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2009 -> 12:57 PM) Why exactly do people pay attention to power rankings? Some dude arbitrarily ranks the best teams in baseball through 2 weeks worth of games and this is supposed to be somehow relevant? Someone explain this to me. I mean, the OP doesn't even like the writing style of the author so it can't be for the witty analysis. Might be because this is a baseball message board and stuff about baseball is discussed or something... -
