  1. I stopped by after work. They had t-shirts for 5 and 10 bucks. Hats for 5 and 10. A bunch of other stuff. If you have a small head you can get a 59-50 cap with the WS patch for 10 bucks. 7 1/8 or 1/4 was abundant. They seemed to be taking them out one boxeful of a size at a time so if you see the cap with the WS patch in a 7 3/8, lemme know... Oh yeah, I just got a souvenir batting helmet for 2 bucks.
  2. I went to FSU for a couple of years so I attended games there, Clemson, and the Orange Bowl.
  3. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) "This girl won't stop jockin me. It was cute at first, but now she is just driving me f***ing nuts. I am going to have to be a b**** to her I think, which I hate doing, but it has to be done here." "I know a young lady who is aggressively pursuing my affections. At first I found it rather charming, but the novelty has worn off and I find myself becoming perturbed by her continued pursuit. I feel I may have to become less accommodating towards her, which I regret, but I see no alternative given the current circumstances." lol Well done.
  4. It looks ugly. A much sleeker look along with the addition of some of those functions that you mentioned it's missing would have been better.
  5. I repeat. I don't feel clean if I don't. Same with my body. I do a second, quick once-again over.
  6. I used to go on sportsline years ago, mainly the MLB board. Plenty of trolls but a good group of regulars.
  7. Well, at least it wasn't another ass-waxing video...

  9. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) she wants to see if i'm the right guy for her by meeting other guys in college. Sounds like her feelings for you aren't nearly as strong as yours are for her. I would let her go and be very open to meeting all the new people you're going to meet in college rather than holding back and sulking because you have someone else in mind who probably isn't waiting for you. That first year especially is when everyone is much more open to meeting a lot of new people and all sorts of relationships and friendships form, along with a whole lot of fun, crazy stuff you don't wanna regret missing out on. Do the same as she's doing. Go out and meet girls. If it's meant to be and things between you and her work out in the future, great. If not, maybe you'll meet an amazing girl that makes you forget about her anyways... P.S. Study hard.
  10. My just-turned-5-year-old brother said "I hate that guy." when he saw his baseball card while going through some cards I gave him of this year's players. Made me laugh because I'm very sure I never said anything bad about him when we watch the games together, and he never really says he hates anyone. He even booed him at a couple of games. His favorite player is Dye, and he likes Quentin and Griffey Jr.
  11. QUOTE (Steff @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 05:37 AM) As I said above, if it must be a sports "star", there are many to choose from who aren't cheaters and compulsive gamblers with strong questions of their actions being related to the murder of their father and having been banned from the sport that made them famous for a year.
  12. Nastia Those two consecutive moves that the Chinese girl did looked much harder than anything Nastia did, though; where she did two consecutive flip things off the bar from either side (I have no idea what it was in gymnastics terminology). QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) You mean Olympic boxing is entertaining? There has actually been some very entertaining and exciting boxing this year. But yeah, as far as Olympic boxing, the scoring makes zero sense.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) Far and away the fastest man I've ever seen. Indeed. It's definitely that premier Olympic event I wish the U.S. would have a hold of though.
  14. QUOTE (Nokona @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) OH f*** THIS I DONT GET TO SCREAM AND STAMP MY FEET AND PUT ON AN INTERNET SHOW WHEN THIS s*** HAPPENS. GRRRR lol
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:27 PM) what i dont get ....people say phelps is the greatest olympian ever....but how many people can even get the opportunity to win 8 medals? You can be the best wreslter in the world, but you only can get 1 medal. Ditto basketball player. I suppose track and field you can do alot of events, but in swimming, phelps got 2 medals for swimming 100m of butterfly (medley relay and individual) also the 200 fly i think he got it for which are all very similar races....don't get me wrong congrats to the guy on 8 golds..its pretty cool, but i think what he did is overplayed by the general population, because 95% of olympians dont even get a chance to win 8 medals, based strictly on the nature of their sports If that's the case, then why aren't there swimmers winning 7-8 medals every Olympics?
  16. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) And I'll add cheese on mine because it's sooooooo much better with cheese. You put ketchup on your hot dogs too, don't you?
  17. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) There is a small taco joint on 59th and Pulaski called 'Zacatacos'. It's a s***hole, but they have the best tacos around, period. I heard they opened a downtown location near Wabash and Madison. If the quality and price are like that of the original, then it is THE best dt spot. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Yes, but in terms of taquerias, that's 5-star fine dining right there. There are many s***tier taquerias (the locations, not necessarily the food) out there. There's another Zacatacos location too, although I can't recall where. Very good tacos. And I saw the sign for that downtown location too. I just doubt the prices will be the same.
