  1. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) Does anybody here call an "easy" girl (you know what I mean) a "bustdown"? (I have never heard a white person say that btw besides ones that hang around blacks/hispanics a lot and I would be surprised if someone did) Whatdown joe? I call them bussdowns...
  2. That shaved head just doesn't fit him yet looks kinda badass at the same time...

  4. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) Need pitching more than anything at the deadline? f*** it, trade a reliever for a one-dimensional hitter.
  5. Sounds just like one of my co-workers... j/k
  6. The lightning is nonstop over here on the south side...
  7. I fall asleep on the train A LOT.
  8. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) Dirty 30 with a SB. The Griffey effect (see fukudome effect, both fabrications of flamer media) As was the Thome homer. Was Swish out?
  9. Thome just gave his seal of approval on the deal...or was that in protest for Konerko??
  10. That nitetrain post didn't merit a respone... Anyways, I already know the real answer, but I sure do hope pax actually has made some sort of real effort to maybe aquire Josh Smith. It's just too bad they're set at both guard spots as packaging tyrus and gordon and/or hinrich along with picks would have been nice to get him. I don't really know the financial paramaters, though. Still, if they're looking to unload him, pax should be trying. I doubt it, though. He had a hard enough time with the two obvious moves he needed to make this offseason (drafting Rose and extending Deng)...
  11. scrubs is annoyingly ridiculous and unfunny. I've tried to watch, but each time I did, all the over-the-top crap just irritated me more and more, particularly the main character. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) MASH. No...
  12. Anybody watch the boxing match tonight? Margarito was relentless. Like a machine. Just punches nonstop, takes punches, and never tires or looks hurt. Great fight.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 02:58 PM) Yeah, those things you bring up are definitely more likely to occur than a guy having half his face burnt perfectly down the middle and being able to survive and function properly afterwards, a balloon that is picked up by a plane just over a crowded urban area to pull a man dressed as a bat with the ability to soar by using electrically charged capes, and every single elaborate plan that the Joker devised through that movie. Thanks for pointing out how much more believable the Dark Knight was than No Country For Old Men. And when watching the movie it all made sense. I clearly stated that it was more believable within the context of what type of movie it is and not more realistic.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) You can't be serious. That bold was supposed to be green, I assume. Definitely more believable, and I don't mean realistic. Less "you gotta be kidding me" moments when considering what the movies are. I was just left shaking my head when the bag is thrown over the fence by the border into a seemingly impossible to find spot yet is immediately found. Too huge of a coincidence to find that darn bag so easily as it was put in a pretty random spot. It was hard to believe how the killer, what's-his-face, always would easily end up where that guy was hiding. He's found way too easily across the border in the hospital. Then there's some random shot of the killer in the motel out of nowhere that didn't really make any sense. And then the sopranos-like ending was lame...
  15. The Dark Knight was more believable than no country for old men. The Dark Knight and WALL-E were much better than no country for old men and There Will Be Blood, which I liked, along with the other movies that were nominated for best picture last year, in my opinion. That's why I can't see why it would be so hard to consider The Dark Knight and WALL-E as "oscar-worthy."
  16. Great movie. The arguments about supposed "plot holes" in a Batman movie are silly, in my opinion. My only complaint is that maggie gylenhaal (sp) is hideous. Just an amazing movie. No, it probably isn't oscar-worthy, but only because it isn't an "oscar movie," and the awards as a whole are a joke. Chicago looks absolutely spectacular!
