QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 05:05 PM) Iverson + Anthony > Allen + Pierce, no doubt. It's very debatable. But I'm curious to see if how ray allen is in terms of health.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) Jefferson and 2 1st rounders is a whole lot of something, especially considering Jefferson might have better numbers than Garnett this season. He won't. From what I have seen of jefferson and taking his upside into consideration, I don't envision him as an all-star. Solid and serviceable in the low-post, but not All-Star caliber. I mean, they had to get something of value, and jefferson fulfills that. But the rest just isn't much. Those first-rounders will be low picks (not lottery almost without a doubt and protected anyways). I don't see the other guys amounting to much either. Better trades have been offered. I guess mchale really is just a celtic at heart. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) Look at the Nuggets, who had the 2 top scorers in the NBA and the DPOY.... Eh, one big factor is that the west is more difficult. And KG is 100 times the player camby is (and healthy). Not a bad comparison, just not really the same. If all 3 stay healthy, the celtics should go far next year.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 04:21 PM) No way. Forking that much out for Garnett was kind of ridiculous. If the Bulls were to do that yes we might win a Chamionship but it would ruin our depth alot for future years. A trade like that would really nullify what Paxson has done since he becamse the GM. Winning a championship is the goal. And the celtics are giving up a whole lot of nothing, in truth. The only advantage I can see that the celtics had over other teams is mchale being a celtic great. Trading young talent does not nullify what paxson has done, particularly because Ben Wallace and his contract makes us a more win-now team, along with many of our young guys not being so young anymore. Trading some of our young talent for a go-to guy would have been a brilliant move, in my opinion, considering what it took to get KG, the talent and depth we have, and the east essentially being there for the taking. I commend pax for turning the franchise back around to where it should be, but I'm still wondering if he is the guy to take us to the ultimate step of winning another title.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) Screamin A Smith just said that Boston is now easily in the top 3 of the EAST, maybe top two. Calling Eastern Conference finals and maybe NBA finals. I really dont see it, besides those guys, who does Boston have? Those three are pretty good, dont get me wrong, but Boston is getting rid of most of thier team to get Garnett, who else is going to be around? I agree with him.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 07:06 PM) I don't even think the White Sox know the answer to that. The other problem is even if they get hot and finish around .500, they really have been a bore of a team to watch this year. That's going to be a hard sell with the guys pretty far up in the upper tank. I think there is going to be a massive drop off, but I also thought that would happen to the Bulls once Jordan left. JR and his friends made even more money losing. I remember a Barry Rozner article interviewing a partner with the Bulls talking about how embarrassed he was at the money he was making with such a horrid team. The pre-Jordan Bulls were less popular in Chicago than the pre-World Champion White Sox. I would imagine though, if projected attendance is going to drop significantly, so will the payroll. That's why I would have liked to have seen KW pull the plug a little earlier and deal some big contracts. He could have used this year's savings on next year's roster. Two totally different animals, though. I hate your sig... -
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 12:05 PM) I saw Stephanie on tv a couple of years ago, and I told my friends that she ended up being the best looking one of the daughters from Full House. Nobody believed me, especially since she was the worst during the run of the show. Now you all see. Uh, no. The older one was chubby and the olsen twins were toddlers, so I'm not sure how she was the worst. She was the cuter one, but the aunt was hotter.

Any word if Super Smash Bros. for Wii will be online? And I wonder if Mario Kart will be...
-
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 11, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) Mario Kart Wii Online looks sick. Link??? And random question: Is Super Smash Bros. (N64) downloadable yet or will it be? Maybe it's because my brother doesn't get video game magazines anymore, but it seems as if there used to used to be more great games coming out for systems.
