QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 02:13 PM) Sorry, I just don't see Cleveland having any chance in this series, Spurs in 5, 6 tops. Yep. lebron is very good, but the hype will be absolutely unbearable once a certain comparison gets made more and more... -

Fire Ozzie and our problems are solved. -
QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 1, 2007 -> 03:05 PM) OTOH, nice to see some passion from the players. I didn't know being an uncontrollable maniac equals passion for the game...

I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoyed watching DePaul in the women's softball WS today way more than the Sox..

White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/02/07 (L)

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 02:57 PM) The El Duque move was brilliance. *Sigh* And it would have been an atrocious move if he gives up a grand slam. You people give Ozzie way too much blame, and sometimes almost none to the players themselves who clearly deserve the bulk of it... -

What was Jordan's playoff low in scoring? Anybody know where I can find it? -

Playoffs are still going on?? -
Eh, movies stop being scary once you're about 14. Now I just appreciate a lot of those classics for being great movies overall. Most of the new ones definitely are crap. Random, but I tried watching those august underground movies but couldn't...not because of how sick, disgusting and disturbing they are, but because of how incredibly not interesting a movie with zero plot and no point is.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) It's amusing to me that with all of the Twins success under their current regime, we're the one with the World Series crown. I assume you're like me Steff, and you realize just how magical the 2005 season was with every passing day. It was a thing of beauty how it all came together. And I don't call it luck because that team just went out there and performed. A lot of us followed that team day in and day out and saw it with our own eyes. Personally, I think an important reason for us to have gone out the couple of years following the championship and continued to play great, while maybe not necessarily winning it all again but making the playoff appearance we should have last year, for example, was to prove it was not a fluke year along with solidifying the organization as a top-tier type. Regardless, I luv that season.

Kobe To the Bulls Rumors
SleepyWhiteSox replied to briguy27's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Kobe has a full no-trade clause, which could potentially help the Bulls if he truly would want to come here. Since everyone is gonna be making their guesses at trade scenatios : Ben Gordon Tyrus Thomas Number 9 pick in a deep draft Nocioni sign and trade with front-loaded contract, as someone mentioned before? -

Interesting... Bulls could probably make one of the better packages overall, but I wonder if anyone would offer a superstar? -

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 25, 2007 -> 05:21 PM) Probably a good decision for him, Wilson Chandler should go back 2. He's not. He already made the decision not to return and hired an agent. I hate him soo much. Him along with Dar and Mac would have fun to watch... And DePaul will be @ kansas on Dec. 8th, although I'm not expecting the same results as last season. -
After a couple of years, I was curious to see what kinds of rates one of my favorite professors was getting, and I was surprised to see that he mostly got some pretty crappy ones. I like to think he was somewhat influential on how I think of and look at certain things today, so I'm glad I never let this kind of website really influence the classes I took. It's a different experience for a lot of students as some of the professors I saw getting good ratings I found rather annoying. But then again, I maybe could have saved myself from a couple of crappy classes if I had taken a look at these kinds of ratings.

Senators Reach Immigration Bill Compromise

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2007 -> 02:28 PM) I know the arguement is OMG who will do these jobs, but I think it is hilarious that all of these illegal activities can be excused just for that reason. What is wrong with actually setting a real plan for legal migrants to work in the US? I know it is easiest to sit and snipe at those who disagree with you, but are you telling me if I broke into your house, took stuff from you, and then claimed it was my house because I was there, you wouldn't have a problem with it as long as I did the dishes? If so you all can send me your addresses. So since you just reiterated that you support all 12 million being deported and didn't directly answer the question, who does take over the jobs that they occupy without being a "burden"? I just find it funny that some people might somehow think that the goverment wants to keep them here out of the kindness and generosity of their hearts when it's obvious they would only want to do so if it makes the most sense economically. Personally, I'm less excited about hearing about 120 billion more tax dollars going into a war that doesn't make a whole lot of sense than about an immigrant working and getting social security. -

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 23, 2007 -> 08:25 AM) But say for example, they offer the 2009 1st rounder, the #3 pick and Josh Childress. Portland could draft Yi Jianlian, and he could be the next Dirk. Or it could be another Chris Webber - Penny Hardaway scenario where Portland would get multiple 1st round selections. Personally I think Oden's a bit overrated just because he's one of the better bigs to come along lately, because it's so hard to find a capable big man. Hell Andrew Bogut went #1, and Deron Williams and Chris Paul look like much better selection right now. Oden will be very good on the boards and defensively, but is he going to score enough to be a "superstar"? Disagree completely on both points. -
