  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 7, 2007 -> 09:56 AM) Matt Hughes and just about half of his weight class would put both of these boys down in about a minute. Do you mean in a boxing match?

  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 07:42 PM) I am a bit surprised, and dissapointed, that he was so defensive all night but you have to remember, it's all about winning the fight and getting that belt. I'm sure PBF knew he probably wouldn't be able to knock De la Hoya out, so he stayed on the defensive and used him speed to pick his punches. Then don't go on and on and on about how you're gonna massacre him if your plan the whole time was to backpedal.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ May 6, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) Iguchi looks like he is swinging with eyes closed racist...
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 5, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) Personal attack or not, some of you are just f***ing ridiculous.
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 01:14 AM) Oh I know. I wasn't debating your post at all Gordon was a huge disappointment. I was simply adding my 2 cents of pissed off opinion. Yeah, Nocioni basically came in and started giving the ball away. He looked terrible. Horrible effort overall. The mental mistakes were sad to watch. Overall, they're the better team, so when you come out fumbling the ball while also allowing them to be the more aggressive, tenacious team, you get blown out like tonight. Another note; there bench should absolutely not outplay ours. Gotta come out and win game 2. But them having home court has always felt like what'll do them in.
  7. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:10 PM) All MTV reality shows are fraud. Most likely, but I find Adventures in Hollyhood pretty darned hilarious! The Big Triece, Computer raps are kinda catchy. Sugar foot! QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 3, 2007 -> 01:57 AM) After that is available, if ever, my programming choices for the network will be limited to Best Week Ever and Hogan Knows Best. Or maybe another White Rapper Show...
  8. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 5, 2007 -> 07:27 PM) Well I think Comcast is having it so you can't even watch basic cable without a digital box. It's basically impossible to use one for Comcast which dominates the Chicago market. It's very possible but they must get zapped or somehow discovered and blocked. Mine lasted about 5 months the first time but then only 3 weeks the second time. Didn't hear about this sopcast until after it started but it was good to see the last couple of rounds online. Good stuff. Too bad De La Hoya ran out of gas. I'm still mad about that first trinidad fight though. He had it won until he coasted the last few rounds. He could have been so great if he had focused completely on boxing.
  9. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:40 PM) The difference is the Yankees game is on Fox too. So they have the right to do a live cut in. I'm sure ESPN could have done something, maybe, but the Sox game wasn't on ESPN. To be fair, I think most media outlets did a pretty good job of covering it. espn made a big deal about it, leading with it, I believe, and even calling it something that might give the Sox momentum when talking about it. They mentioned the game earlier on the programming they have on fox during blackouts too.
  10. Would be nice if one of or a combination of Konerko, Dye, or Crede goes on a hot streak sometime soon...
  11. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:35 AM) Uh Carol, he was 18 years old when he did this, in college. Lets not go overboard on what happened in a dorm or frat in college when they were 18. Imagine the things she did in a dorm or frat at 18.
  12. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 11:54 PM) Maybe the veteran leadership and "discipline" of the White Sox clubhouse was what McCarthy needed, because he's falling apart now in Texas. Ozzie ruined him...
  13. If an atrocious swing gets you in Ozzie's doghouse, I'm all for a player staying there.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:25 PM) The problem is that he was supposed to bring in Jenks at the bottom of the stairs to pad the fall, and instead he put Mackowiak in the center of the stairs. Anderson was supposed to be the pusher, but he pushed and missed. Luckily Konerko came up and fell into a double play knocking them both down. You forgot to add ERSTAD SUCKS!!!
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Just another reason to hate Michael Vick. That whole family appears to be pretty f***ed up. Cockfighting is kinda cool. And I mean the rooster kind, you sickos. Went to a couple of tournaments in Central America. But I believe it's only legal in one state here. Random: roy jones jr. raises some fine roosters.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:20 AM) Eh, I don't agree with assuming racism is the first cause of everything when someone involves mainly one group of people. Think about it, does anyone cry racism because almost all people convicted and tried for corporate crimes are white males? No, because almost all people who are in positions of power in corporations are white males. When the biggest group of people needing illegal identification in the country gets busted for an illegal ID ring, that doesn't make it racist automaticially either. The logic just blows my mind. Just because Mexicans were busted, doesn't mean they were automatically targeting Mexicans. Do you seriously still not get that the problem people have with this is not who and why the arrests were made, but the manner in which it occurred? My main question continues to be why hundreds of innocent bystanders were not only unnecessarily hassled, but also, and more seriously, put at dangerous risk.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) Eh, don't read too much into that. That was pretty much a completely sarcastic reply to an earier post, no matter how badly you want it to be my racism showing. I didn't think you'd go that far out on a limb, but there's always hope that people can come out and finally be more honest about how they really feel.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:53 AM) No thats great be proud! Mexicans are better at this than anyone else. I mean who else gets to break laws and have people make excuses for them, while taking jobs and draining $40 billion from the US economy last year, which was sent to in cash Mexico, never to be spent in the US again. Can you think of anyone else who has a better set up? they must control a lot of TV and radio stations to convince everyone how great they are. But hey they are the greatest, and should be pround! Viva la Mexico! Glad to see your true colors...finally...
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:18 AM) So you don't mind letting everyone else getting away once the word of the first arrest happens? Yet that's exactly what happened. Only ten of the 22 charged are in custody. I'm hesitant to call that a complete success... And I repeat: I still haven't heard valid reasoning for why mid-afternoon in a crowded mall was the best possible scenario for a full raid with a large number of heavily-armed officials detaining hundreds of innocent bystanders. If the criminals were potentially armed and dangerous, why a crowded mall? Their main center of operation was some basement apartment in the Southwest side. How about getting them there instead of taking any risks with such a large number of innocent bystanders?
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) It's more efficient to arrest a large group of alleged criminals in one setting rather than systematically detaining every person at their place of residence. You simply can't coordinate such a large operation without hundreds of additional officers and the possibility of several escaping once word was released. Only 12 of the 22 charged are in custody. About 150 shoppers and workers were detained. I still haven't heard valid reasoning for why mid-afternoon in a crowded mall was the best possible scenario for a full raid with a large number of heavily-armed officials detaining hundreds of innocent bystanders. If the criminals were potentially armed and dangerous, why a crowded mall? And if you didn't like my suggestion of arresting them in their homes, how about their main hub which was a basement apartment on the Southwest Side? If I'm ever at a mall making a purchase and sixty officials armed with machine guns come in and detain me along with hundreds of other shoppers for a few hours, it's a safe bet that I might be slightly perturbed...
