QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) After watching all 3 seasons of Arrested Development for about the millionth time I am now confident in saying it is the best show I have ever seen and I'm not sure anything could ever top it. The intelligence, creativity and depth of the writing is just insane. Every line in every episode holds relevance. There are just so many things you don't pick up the first, second or even third time you see them, everything is said and done for a reason. I luved that show and haven't gotten into any other TV shows since. That first season was amazing. Can't say the same about the rest, but still a great show.

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)

And to think, I was actually feeling pretty good about this team after that 6-3 win...this isn't gonna cut it in this division...why do I get the feeling that if the offense ever heats up, the pitching will falter?? -
QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) If you're an asshole, how likely are you to pass the background check for a concealed carry? If your temper is such that someone stepping on your shoes sets you off, you probably already have a record, which would prevent you from getting the permit. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 04:55 PM) By the way... the VA Tech shooter had obtained his gun(s) legally.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) Once again, real happy Crede won't be on this team in the long run. I'd rather he was playing well so we could get as much for him as possible... -

Are last year's hats available anywhere for very cheap since this year's are new? Preferably in Chicago. I haven't had the chance to go shopping for clothes in a while. Wouldn't mind finding one with the WS patch either as mine might need to be replaced. Is there still any places that have WS gear?

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 05:09 PM) I'm not trying to sound like a jagoff, but I'll be going to bed tonight with the door unlocked as always. Would that be ur dorm room? I wouldn't even leave my room door unlocked when renting an apartment with good friends just to avoid any problems. -

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 05:15 PM) Why can't they just do this by how they finished in conference last year? (ex. 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, etc.) Not sure, but that wouldn't be the most fair way anyways when factoring players who graduate and incoming recruiting classes. -

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:45 PM) My point was that just because you suck your rookie year doesn't mean you will suck your whole career. The opposite point can be made as well since there are more cases of it... -

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) Most people forget that BA was rated the #2 White Sox prospect(behind Jenks who shouldn't have counted) and the #51 prospect in baseball last year. He wasn't handled right last year either. Just because he has a bad season playing twice a week doesn't mean he is a bust. Alex Gordon is hitting around .100 right now and Jeremy Bonderman lost 19 games his rookie year. The thing about that argument is that those teams were not expected to nor did they/will they really compete for making the playoffs and beyond. That's the difference. Sox have to balance using him with expected struggles and how it can effect games. Since we are in a position to compete, are we better off with Erstad or ba? Debatable. I'm all for whoever gives us the best chance to succeed. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Terribly sad... Terribly sad in a completely different way... The second thing I thought after the initial shock an sadness, "at least I won't have to listen to any more 'reverends' furthering their own career by cannibalizing Mr. Imus." Yeah, that does sound sad.. -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) That 2 run 8th inning HR in a 2-1 game in Oakland was pretty big. It's ok, for whatever reason every time Thome does something big late in a game it gets ignored. I think most everybody luvs Thome. I just think everybody is frustrated at the big bats not producing as they should as a whole. -
If any one, a combination, or all of Thome, Konerko, Dye, and Crede would like to go on a little hot streak, I'd appreciate it.
