PSU vs USC? -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:09 PM) Yeah, I mean he's not well-liked here because of all the physical tools he has. He's a cocktease just like Dayan. But I smell what you're stepping in, and I don't see the big issue with giving him another shot this year, especially IF this is a rebuilding/development year. I didn't read that novel. My answer is that he's not good. No reason to play him.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:16 PM) Ballgame. I'm not convinced that UW is guaranteed a top 4 spot now but after last year with TCU I'm not making any predictions. If they win they are. And now it's Clemson or Michigan or Wisconsin imo. -

PJ Fleck just declined twice to confirm he's coaching their bowl game. -
QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) It's not like you don't like Avi or something, is it!! Tantrums are real, huh? Id rather have you take his spot.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:58 AM) Must be nice to have an O-Line that holds all the time and never gets called for it. And a franchise QB and the rookie of the year that's maybe the best RB in the league. They are stacked.

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 09:28 PM) I don't care one way or another. He's better than the other AAAA bums the Sox have run out there. $3MM is pocket change to a real franchise. a rounding error. shows how bad our minors are that they can't come up with someone better. I'd literally rather have anyone from our system. Anyone else.

f***ing why. Why. Let him go.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 09:06 PM) I'm a fan of Washington and they have some talent but the Pac 12 is down and their toughest non conference opponent was Rutgers. Chris Peterson would have a good game plan with a month to work on it but no chance in the end. He needs a few years to get the talent up to snuff but by all accounts they are giving him what he needs. He's a real good coach. I personally like seeing UW good again. The thing about Bama is they have weaknesses, but you need to be able to match up physically and especially stop the run. Not sure UW has the horses. Not sure if anyone does. -

First coaching mistake. When the other team losss their QB. You pin them deep. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) Wow, Colorado's quarterback gets hurt early in the first. That's not gonna help against a D like UW. Unless they have Urban Meyer. He's made of glass. Both of these teams have such tiny lines. UW is well coached but they look like Boise. I fear what Bama will do to them -

I may be in the minority but PJ Fleck is a clown. I hate his gimmicks. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:59 AM) The first sign of success, at least Fleck would bolt West Lafayette anyways. Miles is getting older, so he might have hung around. For sure, Purdue is a stepping stone job currently at the very best. -

QUOTE (RegionSox @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) Purdue announced a plan last year to put in 65 million in renovations for the football facilities http://www.hammerandrails.com/2015/12/20/1...he-21st-century At least 2-3 years away if ever, and they still underpay and understaff. Thats why someone like Miles or Fleck arent coming -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 1, 2016 -> 07:19 AM) I finally dug in and decided to beat GTA 5. I'm done with Michael's missions and have about 4 left between Franklin and Trevor. This game is just bananas in its depth. Truly an unreal experience. Looking forward to RDR2 next year. I keep getting stuck with nothing new popping up. No idea what I am doing wrong

QUOTE (RegionSox @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:49 AM) It sounds likePurdue will probably announce Brohm on Monday as the new head coach. I'm ok with them hiring Brohm. It didn't seem like Fleck wanted to come at all and Miles was always a huge longshot. Any coach worth his salt is going to demand more money for assistants and HUGE upgrades to the facilities which are some of the worst in the conference. Purdue doesnt seem to have any interest in doing any of that. -
So Top Chef kicked off a black man last night, while making them cook on a plantation in Charleston. Slightly racist at first thought.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 09:31 AM) I coach HS football and don't have a ton of contacts but I heard this yesterday from some guys: Les Miles made a bunch of demands at Purdue that they weren't willing or able to do and their focus has shifted to PJ Fleck. Fleck is interested in the Purdue job but is holding out for a better offer. He's in contention for Oregon, thats definitely a better offer. -
QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 02:35 PM) I too can vouch for the Secrets Brand resorts which is part of AM Resorts (Secrets/NOW/Dreams/Zoetry/Breathless/Sunscape). I've been to 3 of the Secrets in the Cancun Area, Now Sapphire in Cancun, and Dreams Punta Cana. Dreams/Now are both family friendly while the rest are adults only. I cannot recommend them enough. My brother is getting married at Dreams Playa Mujeres next October. LOL, i've been to a few of those, Sapphire and Jade (when it was purchased) as well as Dreams Punta Cana. The Secrets PV is real nice, got a swim up room ocean front and the waiter would serve us right in our little pool. It was awesome.

Not having a game this weekend already paying dividends on the recruiting trail. 10 more stars coming. -
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) Bringing this back. I posted in the summer vacation thread but figured this is a better place. Fiancée and I are going on our Honeymoon late May for a week. We are looking to stay under $3,000 for an all inclusive resort on a beach + flight (Yes, we have found a handful of places in Riviera Maya that we like) but also want to go to a place where we have the option to go outside the resort and explore. I am having a tough time finding locations other then Cancun/Riviera Maya. Any other places we should look at besides Punta Cana? So, May is a clutch timeframe, its decently cheap. Se Riviera Maya is pretty good, but also can be pretty bland and a decent ride from the airport, I think I know every resort down there. What I dont like it how flat and bland the resorts can be. Also the ride to and from the airport bums me out, especially if you book a place near Tulum. I dont like sitting in a van for over an hour. With that said, there are many VERY nice resorts there for a good price, and tons of flights. Playa Del Carmen is a decently cool town. I am a fan of Montego Bay, food isnt the best but the part atmosphere is awesome. My wife and I went to a few there that were awesome. Our newest place has been Puerto Vallarta or Punta Mita. Close to airport, really nice places, and a town you can walk to and hang out in. Punta Mita is more expensive because of the resorts there. You can of course go to Cabo, but I tend to think there is a HUGE spread between quality of places there. We always stay with the Secrets brand resorts (forgot their corp name) because its only adults and no reservations for dinner.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 08:44 AM) Agreed OSU is in. I think the only way WI gets in is if Clemson or Washington loses. If they both win the top 4 teams from this week will remain (maybe a bit off shuffling 2-4). I don't for the life of me see how they can put a 10-2 MI team who came in 3rd in their own division, has lost 2 out of the last 3, one of which was to an unranked IA team that WI beat, ahead of WI at 10-2 whose losses were both to top 5 teams by a combined 14 points and is playing for the conference title. I get that MI beat WI but it was at home, by 7 points, and with WI having key injuries and starting a freshman QB in his second career start. If WI wins and doesn't jump ahead of MI, regardless of whether they make the playoffs, then this whole playoff thing is a total sham and apparently conference titles mean nothing. I think if Wisconsin beats PSU convincingly, and UW or Clemson loses, they are in. -
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 29, 2016 -> 10:30 PM) Gotta hope Anisimov is ok. Duncan Keith not hitting the net (as usual) might of cost us another player injured. Sounded like he was fine, I missed the play, what happened?
