  1. Matta is on the hot seat, I assume Groce's is melting from the heat.
  2. 2 episodes into the west wing. What a good show so far
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 12:57 PM) What I take from this, Illinois must have raised their bid? Upvote
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) That is where Indiana's tax laws are dreamy. Your primary residence is limited to 1% cap on property taxes. That $600k house can never cost you more than $6k in a year. If it is your second house, it can't be more than 3%. I'm 3x that cost. I get that we pay a premium to have great schools and a nice clean village close to chicago, but the bill is always painful. I'd vote for anyone that can figure out how to lower it.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) Where I am, 600K would get you a place across the street from the Lake. 600k doesnt seem to go very far these days around here. Plus the f***ing taxes
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) I must look at things differently, I view middle class as being 75-125K. Lower mid of 50-75K and upper mid of like $125-$200K (might even go higher). But again, I might have the same issue as Sqwert as the median home in the county I live in is $661K. Two teachers teaching in the district I live in (with a masters) are getting somewhere between $140-$160 (obviously this is a dual income) per year. Yeah it depends on location for sure. I saw if you took out the poorest 20% and the richest 20% you get a range for middle class from 47k-140k
  7. I see Middle class anywhere from 25-75k depending on location.
  8. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 11:56 AM) You like rate drops that overwhelmingly benefit the rich and hurt the poor and middle class? What is considered middle class income these days?
  9. He has pretty much coupled a great policy to a terrible one throughout his plan. Its pretty ridiculous.
  10. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 09:46 AM) Even if their state is deep red/blue for the Presidential election, they can still make a difference in state/local elections. It's laziness. Not saying its not, in fact the down ballot elections are probably MORE important. But some people think that way. It happens in IL like crazy.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 09:40 AM) I almost always avoid generational talk - it all seems artificial to me. But it puzzles me how reliably young people DON'T vote. Drives me up a wall. I think for them its because their state is always going to go blue. Kind of like ours. Sometimes the electoral process disenfranchises people.
  12. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 07:34 AM) What did the Founding Fathers do with their muskets? Tape cardboard signs to the ends of them and chant anti-British slogans? We. Hate. KingGeorge. That douche should worry about paying his back child support, maybe sell the musket for the money.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) Speight out for the year with broken collarbone. This season went to crap pretty fast. Just need to get down to that 3rd stringer to win a natty
  14. I'm pretty excited to see Mike Pence is hiding a gay lover.
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 12:15 PM) Or maybe he likes to be in his home? I have seen articles posted else where how he is weird about sleeping in his own bed. The president's home is the White House.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 10:53 AM) Did you add to your stable of Jeeps or did you replace the old one? Replaced 2014 GC Summit with 2017 SRT
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 10:17 AM) The X5 is overdue for an overhaul. The technology is pretty stale at this point. You would have regretted it in a year. At 82k, I think I would have regretted it when I drove off the lot.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 10:39 AM) I have a feeling that the people who didn't vote for HRC because of emails will be furious over this news. /sarcasm Mike Pence is going to court to shield his emails from public scrutiny He's a huge biggot, I can only imagine whats in those emails.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 12, 2016 -> 08:29 AM) That's probably a wise decision. You do not want to buy the current X5. I really really liked it, but for about 25k more money and actually fewer features, it just didnt make sense.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 09:59 AM) Bah, it's the 21st century. It doesn't matter if he's ordering deportations from the White House or from New York, the brown people wind up in prison all the same. Yes, but it does send a message that he's not fully committed to the job IMO. He's still wanting to be near his businesses.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 08:27 AM) Who is more likely to put up 1.5 war by July 1st, a healthier and cheaper Saladino or Lawrie at less than 100%? Lawrie
  22. If you are rebuilding, wouldnt keeping a young player who is affordable be part of that?
  23. There is a saying, watch what they do, not what they say. Look at who he has hired as the braintrust surrounding him. A 60 minutes interview isnt going be a better predictor than the policies of his cabinet and platform.
