  1. The entire government is going to be one party. Phew. Hope it doesn't get all f***ed up.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:34 PM) 2016- the year American citizens chose to go back on all the progress that has been made in the last century, and, in doing so, determined their own fate. If they choose it they choose it.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:29 PM) Free press is calling Michigan for Clinton Way too early.
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:14 PM) VA is probably tougher than Florida at this point. Yeah that's a pretty big story.
  5. Flyover states are the most predictable.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) And now Michigan coming in close. This is f***ing nuts. Battleground states by definition are usually close
  7. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:45 PM) Looking like Trump may pull it off there. We won't know for hours.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:39 PM) I hate Florida so much Approved marijuana and racism. Lovely place.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) https://twitter.com/Nate_Cohn/status/796160997996331008 Aka every election. Rural whites always go red
  10. QUOTE (gatnom @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 05:29 PM) They didn't want to give up a home conference game. I believe the plan is to host one of the bigger out of conference games there. Later in the season is when you get a lot of those official visits and you want kids to be able to tour the facilities and campus, be able to meet with academic staff and advisors, not check out a stadium located nowhere close to the school. I totally get it.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 04:25 PM) I really want to bake an elaborate, yet awful-looking face cake to gift to someone. You can just get any photo printed on a cake instead, I do that s*** all the time.
  12. Cash bar, thats pretty weak. They are going to need that s***. Once again, that Hilton is the f***ing worst. Ever
  13. I hope my proposed changes to governments ability to change the 2nd amendment gets passed....
  14. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) Meh. ACC has been doing it for like 20 years. It's one game a year except for NW. I agree with Stuart Mandel - no one is watching a game featuring Northwestern on Saturday at 3:30pm when it's up against 20 other games. People will watch the game friday because there is nothing else on. Exposure nationally will be good, even if recruiting takes a hit for one week (the impact of which is minimal IMO). I'm sure there are positives for schools that dont recruit or dont want opposing fans to take over their stadiums. It still has a negative impact on local high school football as well as the student athletes that would like to take official or unofficial visits, especially if its their bye week. It also has a negative impact on the local economy of many of the hosting teams as fans may not show up in droves and sure as hell wont spend as many days in town. It's a bad idea, and I hope the big boys oppose it forever.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) Big Ten to start hosting Friday Night football games. As an Illinois fan, I'm all for it. Take all the extra exposure they can get, no one is gonna watch them on Saturdays. 2017 Schedule: Fri., Sept. 1 Washington at Rutgers Fri., Sept. 1 Utah State at Wisconsin Fri., Sept. 8 Ohio at Purdue Fri., Sept. 29 Nebraska at Illinois Fri., Oct. 13 Northwestern at Maryland Fri., Oct. 27 Michigan State at Northwestern Its f***ing terrible and shouldnt be allowed. Why have a game when zero high school recruits can attend? Your staff can also not attend HS games to recruit. Its a crap money grab and takes away from HS football revenue as well which is bulls***.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 02:43 PM) Election judges are all minimally trained volunteers? Like bmags said, this happens literally every year since machines like this have been in use. Yeah, they should be tested and calibrated first, sometimes in one of the thousands of polling places using the machines it doesn't happen, and it's pretty quickly fixed. When I was voting (on paper) a tech contact came and double checked both of the machines in my voting location. Nobody was using the electronic ones when I was there.
  17. OMG that judge's reaction to the request to make public the workers at the polling place is downright epic.
  18. NCAA has no teeth anymore, regardless of how disgusting the cases are. Frankly the worst part of the Baylor case is law enforcement's role in protecting the athletes. They should be above that.
  19. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 01:27 PM) Wait, are they competing campaigns trying to win!? Color me surprised! Welcome to American Politics. I'm not saying it's a moral decision, i'm saying it's smart one on their part, and it is. And if Clinton did the same s*** none of you would have a second thought about it. I'd have many second thoughts about a party trying to suppress legal votes.
  20. The entire back page filled with should they keep their jobs or not is a joke
  21. Love my district for voting. Zero wait in and out. The judges page is so f***ing stupid.
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 11:42 AM) Sadly yes, and a great argument for the good of the secret ballot. Over/under on how many years until she divorces him? Pretty sure he has too much s*** on her for her to leave. He pretty much bought her has it is
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 11:27 AM) Both Trump and Clinton are holding their election night parties in NYC. Trump will be at the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan. Clinton's is about 1 block away from Trump Tower in the Javitz Center, which has a literal glass ceiling so there's a 100% chance that gets referenced in her victory speech. Oh god, the most touristy worst Hilton in the world. Hate that hotel
