QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 10:23 AM) Yeah analog is actually typically much, much easier to handle for security issues than anything IP-based. Our archaic and balkanized voting system actually makes it harder to systematically manipulate. Using Azure for the MO primary and watching it go down is pretty much a smaller example of what would happen if it was deployed country-wide.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) My polling place was fine except for the 1-2 napoleon election judges. I voted electronically for the first time and immediately regretted it. They only had 2 machines so it took too long to wait for people to finish. I thought it was funny that the machine is electronic and you vote on a touch screen, but at the end it actually prints your ballot and makes you review it before submitting it. Also, the machines are all clearly from 1993. Saw a lot of 24 pin connecter-type wiring equipment in there. For something so important to this country, how do we not have a more up to date voting system? Because they cannot figure out the security OR the bandwith issues they would face with deploying those.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) I thought he was funny on the first few seasons of The Apprentice but in a "hey, he can't hurt me kind of way." He's such a flipping child it's ridiculous. There are many other reality stars I enjoyed on TV that I wouldnt vote for in a million years for president and some of them are probably better business minds.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:54 AM) Yeah that's why I didn't just mark "yes" right away, but god damn are Illinois' roads abysmal. Worse than literally every other state I've been to, and I've been to most of them at this point. I'm not sure why though, it seems like our crews take too much time, repair the wrong areas and do it poorly. I dont think its funding as much as its overall politics on who is doing the work and when.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:24 AM) the day of gregoning is here still trying to figure out this abyss he's apparently in

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 7, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) Is that the guy who said computers can't store 650k emails yesterday? Most of these morons think emails are stored on the computers themselves, like mailboxes where thats the only place they end up.

Any of those people conspiracy theorists? Just make it real simple

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 7, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) At the end of the day it will be a landslide for Clinton. The American politcal system is in shambles right now. In the city of Chicago you have -Broke overtaxed city pushing middle class out of the city -Overtaxed county doing redundant work that is pushing folks out of the county -State in shambles as career politicians bleed citizans dry and drive them out of the state increasing taxes wherever they can -Federal government...I am not certain what that s*** show is.....GOP is out of control and instead of vetting to find a candidate (actually I think any of the other 15 could have won) the nomination goes to a guy that could be as unelectable as a politician could be. Hillary will take office with about a 20% approval rating after getting about 60% of the popular vote....think about that. I dont think Chicago is overtaxed at all. The property tax rate is quite worse outside of the city in many nice areas.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 5, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) One day you tell us how she'll likely be arrested the day after getting elected, the next day you're concerned she'll serve 8 years. Make up your mind. Whatever is next on the radio, thats his position.

The entire front office should be. They did a half-assed job at a rebuild while losing percentage of the fanbase year over year.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) Ghostbusters was just bad. Has nothing do with the ladies. There were a few chuckles but that story and ending was were awful. Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates was decent until the actually wedding stuff than none of it was funny or made much sense. Aubrey Plaza though. I love her and also have a huge thing for Anna Kendrick

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 10:10 AM) If by safer, you mean safer for straight white Christians. Everyone else, well, no. Its a nice look into that mindset though. "Trump will probably win"

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:16 AM) I couldn't disagree more. But that's ok. With literally every single point

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:14 AM) Crawford has been the MVP for the first month of the season, without a doubt. He's covering for a lot of the mistakes the new D men are making.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 06:40 PM) These positions are on the same ballot. Why would the other elections be any harder to rig? Because his conspiracy theorist radio stations dont talk about the other races
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 08:59 PM) It is really nice to see Hoss off to a good start. Seems the line tinkering has paid off a bit.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 08:33 AM) Unfortunately now the sox don't have a chance at the kids of those bandwagon fans either. Kids are pretty fickle and change on whoever is good. The Sox did this to themselves though, they watched a team rebuild and decided to float along on the lazy river and let them rise up and build what looks to be a consistently dominant team.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 08:09 AM) Doesn't it hurt the Sox at the attendance gate? I think the Sox lost the bandwagon fans about 2 years ago if there ever were any

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 31, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) The Accountant is good. It's like John Wick or the Equalizer meets Good Will Hunting. Affleck's character lives in Plainfield, Illinois (even though movie was shot in Atlanta). It was just so predictable, decent action movie with pretty bad acting.

Really happy for my friends and family members today, pure joy in their hearts last night. As a Sox fan I am super Jealous seeing a team put together the right way with likeable players (other than Chapman).

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) He is absolutely spot-on for the "liberals" posting in this thread. I dont get that generalization at all, and I still find it hypocritical to put everyone in one of two buckets.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 12:46 PM) Weren't you the guy that said 99% of conservatives don't know what an email server as the Crux of your argument yesterday? Of people, which is true.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 11:37 AM) That's very classy of you to try and paint it as if you're for women and I'm against them. I hate both parties, but it is sleazy tactics like this that make talking with liberals very tough. If you speak on anything pertaining to women, race, orientation, etc. you're automatically painted into a corner as a hate mongerer and the liberal gets themself off with some faux-morale high ground.. In reality, you just think it's easier to falsely character cast than to speak on the subject at hand. So you counter that by generalizing "liberals." Nice.

Team is coming together a bit, taking too many penalties though.

We got a rush at the very end and of course the teens after the hours were over, but overall not that many this year.
