  1. QUOTE(heirdog @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) Didn't KW go after Clement last year before he signed with Boston thus changing our focus to El Duque? If that's the case, maybe KW goes and gets Clement (thinking Coop can fix him too) for a smaller package and then trades Contreras for pitching prospects and bullpen help. Thus keeping 6 starters and bolstering the bullpen. Green?
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) tOSU and scUM are so dirty......amazing what they get away with. EVERYBODY is dirty. I went to a MAC school and our QB who now plays for the steelers got some really nice benefits. For example, the coaches wife teach the players all of their courses. They take tests together in a room. They get per diem which they routinely trade back in and buy things like TV's, phones etc. And this is a MAC school. If you think for one second that ANY team in the country isnt diryt, you would be wrong.
  3. QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) A simple Tejada for Contreras Uribe deal is fine; giving away the farm on top of that - forget it. I would trade the Charlotte knights for Miguel Tejada for sure.
  4. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) I love how they bring the cuts out to you and let you select which one you want to eat. Its a little pricey to eat there but worth every penny. i would say pretty much 95 percent of the good steak houses down here do that.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) Uh Oh This site was the site that broke the news that Matt Lawton was on Steroids. Uh Oh. You showed your true colors on your Hart argument right there with that post. Jealousy gets you nowhere Josh. Leave it to you to post "information" from a blog web site. They DO have good pictures of drunk groupies however.
  6. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) I thought that was Bozo the Clown....... He gone too.
  7. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:38 AM) I did his averages for the games that he was healthy. When healthy he averaged 125.2 Yards a game. That would be 1502 yards. Oh ok, because every defense is the same right? And you are the judge who determines when someone is healty right? In his first game, when he was healthy, he barely broke 100 yards vs a MAC team, but you have him gaining 1500 yards? Wow dude, just wow.
  8. QUOTE(toasty @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) maybe we could get rowand back with abreu I would trade the count for Abreu, but then turn around and trade Abreu for something else.
  9. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) Um you do realize he was injured. Had he been healthy all year he would've gone over 1,500 yards. Where do you get that information? Based on your "predictions" I would guess pulling it out of your ass. His yards/carry were at the bottom of the conference. hurt or not, you are full of it, the RB at Indiana outperformed him on similar attempts. Would he have gotten 1500 yards if he carried the ball more too?? Next thing im going to hear is that Jason Avant is the best WR in the nation.
  10. Alright, I sent a three team trade rumor, lets see what happens.
  11. SSI- Im going to post a rumor. Lets see how long it takes to get it on there.
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Griffey didn't even have real players! You can't have fun with that. Big Magoo sucks. They just didnt have the names, but the players were accurate. I made the sox, and they were domiant. Home run derby- Sammy Scrap was king.
  13. I love how Matt Franco- a subpar hitter in American, who could bat a run in to save his life in the MLB- is considered a elite hitter in Japan. And we are supposed to take them seriously?
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) I am not saying Matt Franco is better than any Sox hitter except Konerko however you aren't giving Japan the credit they deserve. How about the American players that go over and dominated Japan. They are over there because they couldnt make it as BENCH players in the MLB. Yours posts are getting more and more off the wall.
  15. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 10:31 AM) what bull.. that article really pisses me off.....there is a reason iguchi hit .340 with 25+ bombs over there and .270 15 here. Egg-zaactly. We take a few of their BEST players and they are good over here. What do you think their scrubs hitting in the bottom of the order would do? This is like us losing to Charlotte.
  16. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 10:26 AM) yeah he did post that exact same thing...but so what? which is more plausible? that some guy who runs mlbtraderumors happens to read every single rumor on soxtalk and randomly took a rumor from a guy with 11 total posts and published it on his website? OR He is andy the clown and his source is legit, or they both heard the same things from a solid source. I dont understand why everyone wants to discount this mlbtrade rumors guy just because andy the clown had a similar rumor a few days ago You basically proved why the source is s***ty right there.

    XBOX advice

Any conflict. Desert Storm 1 and 2, Global Terror is awesome too.
  18. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 05:00 PM) When he was healthy though he had a great year. He had ONE good year and you are calling him a proven back and a heisman candidate. Thats the point, nobody is questioning that he is a good running back, he had a good freshman year and a BAD soph year. Even if he was injured, he still had 150 attempts which is still a full season for some backs. You, on the other hand, are saying that Hart is now one of the best players in the country moving forward. Thats ridiculous considering hes not even the best RB in the big ten, not even in the top 10 players in the big ten, so it makes no sense for you to make Heisman claims. You need to come to terms with that.
  19. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 08:05 AM) Ouch, this quote puts the Cubs evaluation and developmental skills in perspective. The cubs routinely overrate players who are average at best, and underrate and trade good players.
  20. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) Somebody in another thread, maybe this one, suggested that if we were able to land Tejada, that even if the pitching fell off, say Garland went back to his 04 form, that we could still repeat in 06. I totally disagree with that. If the pitching isn't as good or close to what it was last year in 06, it won't matter if we add Tejada. We won't be repeating. Ask Red Sox fans what a dominant offense with average pitching did for them in 2005. Average pitching? Clement was their Ace. We would still have 5 legit starters, if Garland fell off, we would still have Mark, Freddy, BMAC to dominate and Vaz if he improves.
  21. Well, first of all, even if it was true, asking for the count, uribe and either BMAC or Broadway is downright insane, and KW would hang up on the O's. People need to realize that BMAC isnt going anywhere, and since we traded haig and Gio Broadway is pretty much untouchable. We DO need at least one pitching prospect worth a damn.
  22. Just had the bone in ribeye from Phil Steffanis last night, seafood platter for apps, casear salad, italian mashed potatoes, spinach, and chocolate souflet. To drink we had 2 bottles of Jordan Cabernet 1997.
  23. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) Cheat, No clue every Big 10 back that is in the top 5 gained a significant amount of yardage against non top 25 teams. But on that same token, so did Reggie Bush and Deangelo. I mean should Calhoun be penalized because unlike Young he put up good stats against the teams he was supposed to dominate? Nobody can debate that anyone other than Calhoun was the best RB in the big ten this year. The guy flat out dominates.
  24. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) So is keeping IU out of the top 25. Damn you ESPN! According to our new way of determining talent. IU has an "impact" player at running back.
  25. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) That's been enough for the Yankees to win the AL East for several years. The Mets are also younger, which lets them afford more "Big name signings". The pitching rotation is terrible though.
