  1. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 09:45 AM) Rock, I'll be there. For the last series, Duffy's had "Sox Parities" It was all you could drink for 15 bucks from 6-11, and the whole back room was sox fans. highly f***ing recommended! I'll pop in after the game, hopefully to celebrate a win!!! Away games for sure I will be there. Duffy's is right down the street.
  2. Great article, but I wish I had the 5 min back I spent reading the next post.
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Well Tony and everyone else who didn't get tickets, I hope you guys have some luck outside the ballpark if you do go and try and get a ticket. At least the bar's are a good backup plan I suppose. Heres the thing- Brokers who buy all those tickets dont know anything about sox fans. They know about chicago fans, and their spending in the playoffs. This is mostly based on the demand and price paid in 2003 for cubs tickets. They dont realize that sox fans are not as stupid as cubs fans and feel that watching the game at home is better than dropping 1K on the worst seat in the house. They will come to an abrupt conclusion on friday when they arent selling their overpriced tickets. They will troll the parking lots looking for people who need extras. They will sell for less than half of what they were asking. Sox fans determine the market-not the brokers.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) If you have ST in the UD you are allowed downstairs. Didnt know that, still must be a hassle. I like being close to the corn beef stand as well. For my money I think the best seats in the house are 300 level. Those beat the crap out of every place in the park.
  5. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) i kinda like the good upperdeck seats. i had some juicy first row UD seats this season and i thought the view was great. I still think you are missing out on the majority of the ballpark ammenities, including the concourse. To each their own I guess, I just feel if im going to drop alot of dough, might as well be close to the action.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) Yes Rock.. 533 Premium Upper Box to boot.. the hottest ticket in the UD. Mainly, if not all, sold to ST holders. And the third cheapest in the park. I can't wait till the reps are answering their phones again... so many questions. My reps VM is full. He hasnt responded to my e-mails. Grrrrrr
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Umm.. wont you be AT the games...?? yes ma'am, but for after.
  8. Anyone downtown, or on the northside of the city?
  9. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) Owens has got to show either more power or better plate discipline (though his 52 BBs in 520+ ABs certainly isn't awful) for him to be our up-and-coming leadoff hitter. I think John Sickels wrote it best...... OTOH, I'm still quite happy that we have another average-to-above-average prospect, for just Alex Escobar. well, people say PODS has to improve his power as well. Im cool with OBP myself.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) LOL, the odds of the Cubs signing Rafael Furcal to an $8 mill deal are slim to none, because he's looking at probably $10 mill a year atleast...and the odds of them signing Furcal and then having Marcus Giles appear out of nowhere and starting are even slimmer. And there is no way Burnett settles fo $8 mill. Not when Detroit's probably willing to throw something like 4 years, $44 mill at the very least. just the beginning of their genius ideas. I love cubs fans.
  11. QUOTE(salty99 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) I am not a troll. I am sitting right next to my boss. He applied for premium upper box last night online and just got called by the White Sox who said there are no World Series tickets available for him. I however got through and now have season tickets for next year Sec. 533 Row 6 UD huh?
  12. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Yeah, they're safe. They are in my building...and they are a bunch of assholes. ***clarifying*** I am not endorsing them at all. Just saying that yes, if you buy from them, you will get your crap. They are nothing more than a legalized ring of crooks working through loopholes. They should NEVER be supported. where are they located? You should sit down with one of them and figure out how they get tickets through loopholes in the system. We could start our own gig of just selling tickets to real fans.
  13. I love seeing the reaction of other teams regarding their "next year" plans. No other team is as classic talking about next year as the Chicago Cubs. I was curious to see what their master plans were in overhauling their team next year to try and make up for the fanbase that they lost with the Sox in the Series. Below are some examples. SS-Furcal 8mil CF-Jaque Jones 4.5 mil 1b-Lee 8mill RF-Giles 9mil 3b-Aramis 10.5mil 2b-Nomar 5mil LF-Murton .8mil C-Barret 4.5mil That comes to 49 mil say i am off a bit,no more than 52mil Bench Cedeno .5mil Blanco 1.2mil Hairston 1.5 Perez 1.5 Dave Roberts 1mill Grieve .8mil 6.5 and if im off a bit 8 mil Starting Pitching Wood 11mil Maddux 9mil ZZZZZ 6 mil Prior 4mil AJ Burnnet 8mil 38 mil RPitching S.Williamson 2mil J.williams .5mil Todd Jones 3.5mil Novoa .5 mil B.J. Ryan 3 mil Demster 5mil 14 mil if im a bit off 15 mil _______________________________________________________ CF Lofton/Hairston(give old guy rest) 2B Marcus Giles 1B Derrick Lee RF Brian Giles 3B Aramis Ramirez SS Nomar Garciaparra/Cedeno(for if nomar goes down/rest) LF Matt Murton C Michael Barret P Carlos Zambrono P Mark Prior P Kerry Wood P Kevin Millwood P Greg Maddux CL Ryan Dempster
  14. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) I got a couple Cubs guys here planning on going down there to raise holy hell on Saturday. Both of them the type of guys the Sox are accused of having for fans. BUt be well aware, they are HUGE Cubs fans. I'm thinking I will just keep my mouth shut. They will be drunk for sure...so let 'em get arrested. They will also be wearing Cubs gear...so no worries about them being mistaken for Sox fans. I feel sorry for anyone who goes down to the games in cubs gear. There is nothing they can say, they will get screamed at, and will be severely outnumbered.
  15. QUOTE(salty99 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) My boss just got the call...all world series are gone. But if you would still like 06 season tickets..blah blah He sent in his application last night. I smell a troll
  16. I will hopefully be in E, F or L. Watching the bears game on sunday for sure.
  17. TAILGATING AT U.S. CELLULAR FIELD Tailgating is permitted before every game in Lots A, B, C, D, E and F starting two (2) hours prior to the game (when the lots open) and concludes when the game starts.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Good grief.. I had no idea. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that crap. amen sista.
  19. QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) Anyone in Chi want to tailgate? Would it even be legal? Yeah, its legal in the parking lots, I will be there for sure.
  20. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) At some point, sure. When will that be? Who knows? You need to have a leadoff man somewhere, and unless they sign one or Owens is ready, until that point, they can't afford to trade him... this is why I think next year is his last year with us. Then Owens should be ready, and we can get decent value for PODS.
  21. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) I am there..I wanted to hit Jimbo's but I am sure most will be there.. and not to fond of the $4 for a can of Lite. agreed, need a place with affordable drinks.
  22. I was on hold for 45 min with ticketmaster cinci, finally got through and he said they were sold out. So I only have 2 for sat and sun. Im tailgating if anyone wants to join me. Sunday I will be watching the bears game from the back of my jeep. All are invited for a game of washers.
