slightly better defender? I dont think so.

well maggs, you made your decision. You went with the money, and now you have made your bed. The tigers are terrible and we will continue to beat your ass. Have fun swimming in your money, we will be playing in october. Peace Biatch.

QUOTE(bighurt574 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 10:07 AM) It's a steal. Had Podsednik stolen second, and Ozuna broke for home on the throw to second, I don't think there'd be any debate. This is the same thing. Maybe not as cool as a flat-out break for home, but still a steal. welcome to sox talk

I was planning on dropping by, but we got last min scout seats.

He didnt really slide under the tag, he slid behind it. He was in the air and reached around Buck's shinguard and tagged home. It really was a play that makes you yell when you see it.

bump Cotts overused?? I Wish that was the problem

oh yeah, even bat girl said this today. HE GONE -
how come the f***ing indians keep playing teams that are slumping. I mean the tigers come in here, hitting the best in the AL, then we s*** them out, and the tribe faces them whilst they are slumping.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) Jose is 7-2 with a 3.34 era since the break. Jose was 3-1 with a 2.14 era in August. In two September starts, Jose is 2-0 with a 1.84 era. Keep it up big man! its hard to deny that he has ACE stuff, and hasnt had the head to dominate. I think he may be turning the corner. Then again, what do I know.

Look who has baseball's best record again

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) Well, Maddux's WHIP is decent. It's not great...but it is the same as our #3. That has a little to do with Maddux's great control/getting pitches 4 inches off the plate though as well. And to play along...you want an all win-type rotation...let's whip something up here... Kenny Rogers Russ Ortiz Greg Maddux Mike Mussina Tim Wakefield Best rotation ever, no? An even better question. If Wakefield played for a lighter hitting team would he EVER win a game. Wins are BS, just look at Clemens this year. Maddux is an overpaid 5th starter who is losing his stuff as the innings roll by. Next year, 40 hr's, mark it. -

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) $9M for a guy that wins 15 games a year sounds right. ERA-4.28 WHIP-1.24 SO-116 BAA-.276 does that sound like 9 million? Because his stats are just slightly better than El Duque. Thats pretty expensive for a 5th starter. -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) Believe me, I live in the city, so I know. Good luck with the bike man. Whatcha gonna do in the winter? Winter=SOL. But I wont be driving to so many places in the winter I suspect, or just use to bus a little more. Also I travel more in the winter, and therefor will be in warmer climates. Maybe I can bring back my snowmobile from mich?? Where you live in the city? Stocking, whats the ball park on the gixxer?

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Rock, don't f*** around, get a custom, black and silver Sox Harley. nah, gotta save most of my money for a down payment in the spring for a condo. If you know what a 2B/2B new condo in the city costs, you will understand.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) Crotch rockets are fun as hell. They have so much power, I had a 929RR that was fast as hell. This was my last bike, which I owned for about a year. im looking at the yamaha 600 R6 and the CBR 600RR I tip waitresses large, but not cabbies. Waitresses are paid salarybased on tips being part of their wage. Cabbies collect money, subtract gas.

Core of the Core - Sox vs Royals Game 3

BTW, expect t-storms tonight. Which means. 1. A wet crappy game or... 2. Extended drinking time during the rain delay. -
you SHOULD be concerned about The Duke. He hasnt done anything in the playoffs worthy of a start since 2000. I think he goes right to the bullpen, and doesnt see much time unless its garbage.
-
Yeah, I plan on just riding around the city, definatley with a helmet. I dont even think I will partake in any highway riding, but who knows. Speed doesnt scare me that much, but I guess we will find out. I AM planning on buying a crotch rocket though, just like them better IMO.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) We'll all be in 105 IIRC. Stop by and say hey. Look for the dorks with nametags, and we'll be the ones next to them, sans the tags (ponders whether or not to make himself distinguishable) I'll sport road 83 fisk for the occasion. -
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) I don't know. I agree about most, but I have seen more than my fair share of crotch rocket guys doing REALLY stupid things. Things that would qualify them for Dawin Awards. I hate the crotch rocket guys with that mentality. when I was driving through the ATL on my way back ffrom FLA, I saw about 20 of them doing at least 140 down the highway swerving through cars on the highway. This is NOT the type of riding I am planning on doing.

i will be there b****es, didnt buy the c of the c tickets but I will be in section 131 with freakin bells on. Maybe a beer in the fan deck? -
My best friend moved to cleveland in the middle of the summer, and hasnt attended many games this year. We have had season tickets together for years, and just because he isnt in town, doenst mean he isnt a fan. On the other hand, being on this site also doesnt mean you arent a bandwagon fan.

thanks SSI. Thats the only thing I am worried about. I have ridden scooters for years, and I am always nervous when in a congested area. I only hope to be the slow driver that can adjust during such a time.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Anything but a taxi [shakes first] I hate them so much I dont tip cab drivers, is that bad?? I havent in awhile because they purposely try and milk my money with bad routes etc. I even got into a fistfight with one. (he tried to take offwhile I was getting out of the car). I hate them as well.
