  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Garland looks like he'd like to be anywhere but on a pitching mound in Arlington, TX. its fockin hot
  5. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Garland has Jose Contreras disease today. He appears afraid to throw a strike. because everytime we do, they hit the s*** out of it.
  6. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) I hope Ozzie understands we are now in that part of the season that is longer than anything Iguchi faced in Japan (including playoffs). I hope he will rest Iguchi more often this month. It's not so much the physical exhaustion of playing such a long schedule as it is the mental side. No doubt Iguchi has been doing his homework studying up on pitchers & that's taken a toll on him as well. I'm not making excuses for his recent errors but when it comes to the debate of whether Japanese vets should be considered Rookies they definitely are when it comes to the length of the season. I've not seen an effective sub for Iguchi than Harris so I hope he's called up. umm actually he played much more games that this in some of his seasons in Japan. And he hasnt really played in that many games so far. In Japan he played 140, 135, 124, 135 games. This year he has only played in 107 games. That means he has 33 more to match his career high of games played. It doesnt seem to me that he is overworked.
  7. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) Can we please stop with the stealing signs jokes?? They are already over done and the game just began its very annoying. I know it was stupid of Mark to say that but comon guys enough. I was going to say that. Did you steal the sign?
  8. again with the small ball? Are we stealing signs?
  9. Heat=long balls. We need to keep the ball down and keep them at singles here guys. There is a reason that they are good at home, they are a slugging team.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) Alright, big inning for Garland to hold 'em down after a 2 spot. so much for that
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) Despite the 2 Ks, good start to the game for the Sox bat was looking a little slow there.
  12. why do we keep batting AJ in a power spot. The guy has already surpassed his career high in homers. Please put Dye up there in a position to drive in some runs. Brian-lets call on the power of Christina's taught behind to bring us a vicotry today.
  13. QUOTE(Iguana @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) Wasnt willie hitting .380 at one point while in AAA a year or 2 ago? ding ding ding, we have a winner. Dont forget that Crede was also an offensive power in the minors as well.
  14. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Oh okay, thanks... :headshake The big dog on the block doesnt care what the little dog does. The yankees have routinely spanked the red sox over your life time. The Red Sox are the ones that have been trying to spite the yankees.
  15. QUOTE(RDriesen @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) wrong. i dont know where people get this idea, but we have no, NO money problems There are money problems, whether you want to believe it or not, I have lived in cincy for most of the last 7 years, and I know the team's attitude, as well as the fans. They thought that the new stadium was going to help the team gross a little more cash and bring some fans back, but the team doesnt draw like it should. Hence the sale of the team, and the desire to keep a large draw on the roster.
  16. QUOTE(RDriesen @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) why the hell would burnett come to the reds $$$$$
  17. warrick is a good middle of the field guy and could really fit the mold of a number 2 receiver for our scheme. Unfortunatley, I dont think we will look at him because of the possible attitude problem. I think we had enough of that last year with A train and DT.
  18. The financial flexibility alone could net the Reds AJB in the offseason which would give them potential top of the line starter to put in their crappy rotation.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) There was a reason I quit for a while... It wasn't worth it anymore. And if it can make me stop, its gotta be bad There just was no reason for you to keep padding your post stats.
