QUOTE(Finkelstein @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) You got tix for Friday's game? Is this just the regular ticket office? What is the sox charge authorization form??? No, for tonight. The authorization form is something that season tickets holders get and we get a special hotline to call in for premium seats, its awesome. I would recommend everyone get at least the 27 game plan sometime to really watch the sox. tis the best!!

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) My point wasn't that I wanted more coverage of the White Sox, but rather, less negative coverage. It seems like ESPN can't avoid ripping every single thing that goes wrong at the Cell. Understood, but thats not going to be the case. We are the team that people love to hate. We are the fans that get no respect. We are the team that is going to have to prove we are good. And thats fine, no coverage is better than what they are doing now. The cubs will be the loveable team until they blow up even more than they are now. When they flop, and the fans start bailing, then you will see an interest. We are the best team in baseball, nobody likes us because of that. f*** em

I hate to keep repeating myself, but I think the less coverage the better, stay away from us.

Damn, I called the ticket line today and scored primo seats behind the plate, gotta love the sox charge authorization form!!!

What are the bets, that after the poll is completed, the article will be based on the sox fans, feeling inferior to the cubs, flooded the polls.

While watching the game last night it occurred to me that our players should not be able to do the little things and the veteran things that enable us to win. Case in point. Uribe faking the foul ball against the cubs, this was a very veteran and Ozzie-type thing to do, this is really Uribe's first real season starting at the position, this is only something a coach would show him how to do. Last night, Ozuna fakes a cut-off to freeze the hitter at first, so instead of second and third with one out, it was first and third. Ozuna is a utility player, and has not been in the majors long enough to perfect that move on his own, this could only come from the teachings of a veteran middle IF. Baserunning: Even willie harris is getting better at stealing bases in situations where it is needed. Not to mention his great bunt during the weekend which allowed us to win the game. The 2nd to third tag-up of Polite was unbelieveable. The first base to third on singles seems to be a common occurence, which was not always so with the previous teams. Finally: Double plays. I dont think I have seen such great double plays in several years. Even with Ozuna and Wilie filling in, I have extreme confidence that we can turn every DP that we see. Willie has an awesome jump throw this weekend and Pablo turned a great one last night. I attribute alot of these changes and improvements to the skill level of the coaches. You have two middle IF'ers and great Of'ers that can help with the positional skills. Raines had 808 stolen bases in his career, and has alot to teach on the art of running the bases. Im interested in everyone's thoughts on the staff, this is the way I see it, but I know others do not like some of the members of the staff. I think this is probably one of the most well-rounded in the MLB.

I am one of the advocates for this thread. I sometimes give away my season's and I also like to get additional tickets as well. Tonight im seeking as well as friday.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Wrigley just hired the same food company that's at the Cell. My friends tell me it's like night and day now. I actually think its still a different company. We still have far superior food. They finally got decent dogs, and pizza and nachos, but still dont have the diverse food categories, such as steak pita and the polish with onions. We cornered the market on the best food in the majors, trust me.

I've said it once, I will say it again, I would rather have 10,000 honest to go sox fans, than 40,000 yahoo's taking up space. I like it better when there is almost nobody there so I can move seats if I want to, get in line for food faster, bathroom breaks take 2 min and I dont have to put up with ignorant people who walk down the aisle during a pitch. I honestly couldnt give 2 s***s about our attendance, at all.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) They were implying that the neighborhood was a rough part of town. They weren't making it out as if the neighborhood wasn't a good party place like Wrigley. That's what I took offense to. It is a rough part of town for people who dont live in the city.

White Sox the best team no one pays attention to
RockRaines replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Seriously, is it THAT hard to be a sports writer. Take a little ESPN, a little opinion, roll it up into your own words, and spit it out. Every article I read is the same. People talk about how weak our division is, our attendance, the cubs, our field, come on give me something new. Honestly dont write any more articles, we dont want them. We dont want the attention, we dont even want your ESPN to visit us. Keep talking about the cubs, the red sox, the yankees and stay away from 35th and shields. Opinions are so based on ESPN's web page these days its sickening. Moron sports writers are ruining the sport. I think some of the best written sports peices I have read this year are on futuresox.com, where the coverage is actually based on the events and players they are covering, wow what a concept. -
I would really like a Rock Raines sig, I dont really like the one I have. Something that has to do with 808 stolen bases

ATO: Bobby Jenks and Lubisich to Charlotte; Gio to
RockRaines replied to Chisoxfn's topic in FutureSox Board
The combo of Jenks/Baj is deadly in the 8th and 9th innings.
