I forgot to add that one of my favorite things about Great American, when I went to school in cincinatti I didnt have much money, and the Reds still have 9 dollar bleacher seats that are easy to get. Its pretty sweet.

Fatboy Sabathia predicts Indians will win division

QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) So, will the Indians have 5 All-stars while the Twins and Sox have one apiece? For sure. You know that Martinez and Belliard, and CC will make it. Who else, who knows. And probably only santana for the twins. -
Andy Marte is supposed to be ready to come up, they just dont have a place to put him.

I understand that everyone can be frustrated with how crede has been performing, but fact is, we have scored more runs than anyone in our division, so something is going right with our offense.

Offense is showing some signs of life.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 31, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) Tonight he still had the hitch in his back and bringing his hands down, however he got his hands through the zone quick, hopefully he can keep the swing short and sweet. it was the shortest home run swing I've ever seen him have. -
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) Career ERA is still over 5.50. Get back to me when he puts together a consistent effort for a while rather than a few good games. he still needs to learn another pitch.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) The occasional pull home run doesnt overshadow his overall suckage. If he was more consistant and hit 260 I would be thrilled and wouldnt complain about Crede. But when he goes into funks were he sucks for a month or two. I smell 2 hits from crede tonight.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:40 AM) I find myself saying 'c'mon Scottie' whenever he's up me too, scottie just seem to be the one that sticks.

Say no to WALK-er. Baj should be the arm brought up, he has been lights out in AAA, and is due to come back up. We are going to need a fresh arm coming into the end of this month, especially while we are playing in national league parks and we cant use the DH.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:35 AM) He saw my 16 questions and ran off. he signed up under the name I-HATE-CREDE

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:32 AM) Whatever happened to Anthrax... haven't seen that one around in awhile. last week he was in full effect, but got torn up pretty badly.

QUOTE(JimH @ May 31, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) qwerty, I look at it this way, the moderators here do a good job and they have absolutely no obligation to tell us what if anything they do. Personally I feel it's none of my business. I just post here. They read the board, they see what's going on and they want this place to be good for everybody. I'm quite sure the issue is in good hands one way or the other. I would prefer the guy just tone it down about 10 notches because he's obviously intelligent but maybe fitting in is not his thing. Jabroni you and I had a good discussion going in this thread, and we didn't get personal at all ... same goes for the other 103 posters who disagreed with me in this thread LOL. But you know what, I thought starting that poll thread was unnecessary, there was no need to gang up on the guy. He's a good poster just like you are. Just my opinion and I will leave it at that. I just hope that everyone keeps b****ing about Crede, everytime there is a Crede sucks thread, he goes out and hits a bomb.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 31, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) yes its a WISH list but it would be nice to keep it to things that might come true, because when you make a wish you hope it comes true... and with Tex it aint coming true... It would take so much to get him and than I still dont think Texas gives him up add in he is a borass client... it isnt a wish, its impossible. Thats why im sticking with Joe Randa as my primary guy... Dunn and Wagner are the wishes. Eh, I wish I would win the lottery!!!

Uribe, no contest.

QUOTE(ISF @ May 31, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) C'mon aboz, this one has Chicago White Sox written all over it. We really should have a forum pool. $1 for each date you think Walker will be made the sacrificial lamb for Joe Crede, Jermaine Dye and Carl Everett all being in the same lineup. I thought he was s***ty last year, he got his arm hurt, Baines was interim coach, our bats got real hot, Walker came back, ice cold.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 31, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) Makes no sense. Another reason why i never thought jermaine dye was or is a good fielder. He is in the same boat as jetere just not nearly as good offensively. Yeah, I never pegged Jeter as great defensively, but he doesnt make alot of mistakes, just makes the plays he should make. I always thought they should let A-rod take his spot and move his ass to 2B, but whatever.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Tex isnt on the trade market and it would take more than that to get him and he is a boras client... so no... My wish list would be Joe Randa Billy Wagner and depending on what it would cost to bring him in Adam Dunn. but all in all ill take Joe Randa only and still be happy but a good bullpen arm would be nice too. WISH list, I want him so bad, we could then get rid of Kong and be set for along time.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 31, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) ROFL It's a joke, lighten up, please. Of course Uribe isn't a top overall shortstop...:banghead Uribe isn't a top 5 SS? Who is better, enlighten me. Defensively? Ummm, dont know stats on this but if I was to give my opinion, I would say Tejada, renteria, Alex Gonzalez, Vizquel, Cabrera, A-rod.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 31, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Jeter gets to the least balls in baseball from a shortstop and this is not over a one or two year period. More like over his entire career. I don't see why people are in love with him because he can make the routine plays. They just did a piece on ESPN on him. It was something that he makes all the regular plays, and never messes those up, so he is reliable, and therefor great defensively.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) He gets RBIs and OBP on defense? HOLY COW! Didnt know thats what we were debating, thanks for the smartass response. I already said I like Uribe's defense, but a top 5 SS, he isnt. Top ten, yup, I think so. If we were talking better players, then im right.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Young/Jeter>Uribe? Uh yeah, how could you not say that they are better players than Uribe. Jeter is a no-brainer, I mean, come on. Young has now 2 seasons of .300 ball under his belt and last year had .353 OBP .483 SLG 99 Rbi's Uribe has 2 season's of playing over 100 games and hasnt hit over .300 last year (his best) he had .327 OBP he hit .283 74 rbi's. The only thing he has is that his career high in SLG is .506 which is higher. I think Young is a better player IMO
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) Sure. If you want to say god bye to mccarthy, anderson, and another good prospect. I'll take it. I would gladly trade BMAC and Anderson for Tex, in a heartbeat.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) No no not Young. My top 5, not in order Tejada, Cabrera, Izturis, Uribe, Renteria I forgot Renteria. My top 10 would include A-rod, Tejada, Renteria, Vizquel, Furcal, Guillen, Rollins, Young, OC, Jeter.
