  1. hahaha left handed hitters are hitting 460 against gas can vizcaino
  2. Ummm, I said he wouldnt be good, I guess. I just want to make you look better......
  3. This is my favorite thread. We should trade Buehrle for maddux!!!!!!!
  4. There are a few people that were VERY opposed to have spods on this team, but I think we have all come around.
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 26, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) When did I ever say I wanted Jaret Wright over anyone? Anthrax did, he is all knowing :headshake
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 26, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) I don't want Lowell, he's suffering from the new steroid policy (yes I went there), is in his 30's, and just signed a big contract IIRC. So you are saying he has a case of the A-ramis's
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) I can understand that argument. I see both sides of this issue very well. Why f*** with something that has worked so well? The offense has not been great, but whatever is working, is working. And then if you do make the trade I suggested above, you may have to make another trade then too...trying to fix something that is working awesome can sometimes cause for breakage. You would also be adding money into a spot that we really are already cheap at, and Crede's production thus far is better than Lowell's. Why add like $2 mill at 3B and then create a hole in the OF? In the end, I probably would make not move...but it is intriguing to think about, nonetheless. VERY much agree, I dont want to move just to move, you know.
  8. If anyone has a chance, pick up the latest edition of ESPN the magazine, there is a great article about one of my favorite pitchers, Jake Peavy. You can also access it online if you have insider.
  9. Flubs lost, Jason Jennings gets the win. Santo claims that the team is better than this and they should have a team meeting to discuss it.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) But Crede does NOT have GG defense, and he does not save runs with his glove. He is a vaccuum over there, but is Choice-esque in that his range is next to nothing. Offensively, he is far inferior to a Mike Lowell. If the Sox could get him relatively cheaply, or perhaps even a bad contract for a bad contract(maybe something like Dye and Diaz for Lowell, with the Marlins then going to Cabrera at 3B, and an OF of something like that Conine/Encarnacion-Pierre-Encarnacion/Dye, with the Sox then trading Crede for a solid OFer who can just fill in for the year...or perhaps they package of bunch of s*** up for another OFer. I know one thing, Lowell is a guy I would not mind having on my team. He is streaky as hell(and he is probably just in one of those crazy funks right now), but when he is right, he is unbelievably good. As recently as last year, he put up an .870 OPS, so he is not done by any stretch of the imagination. I understand the want for more offense, especially when we dont score a ton of runs, and we are used to it by now. But I think this infield, especially the left side, works well together and I think Crede's range is better than many think. He is a great player defensively and Uribe and Crede work well to establish a great defensive front. I wouldnt want to weaken the defense on an already defensively-dependent team.
  11. It would be nice to see us get some more Japanese fall out from our two good players from there. I wouldnt mind beeing the first place that they all want to play. Chicago is a good town for any foreigners to come to in my opinion.
  12. Today has been the day of drawn out ridiculous rants and the shortest threads ever, I LOVE west coast trips.
  13. I'd rather have Crede, defensively he is superior
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) Go to the UD in yankee stadium and then see how steep it is. The UD at the cell is not that steep at all and it's a great view. You ever been to old Tigers stadium? that was one steep upper deck
  15. I would be a bit weary of bringing over some pitchers from Japan. They are VERY hit or miss, and havent had good history of staying power.
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) You neglected to mention all the wrongs the White Sox organization did to Fisk, my favorite player of all time. You have reported only half, or, half of one half of the story. Things are much deeper than that. Much. Also my fav player of all time, they wronged him in several ways, he was the heart and soul of that team. I will long think Fisk as the face of the SOX
  17. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Hell people wanted to get rid of Garland as well...I am one of them, I had finally after 6 years of cheering for the guy gave up this past offseason. Should have stay on that bandwagon one more year. whoa, I think that is the first time you have admitted that you were wrong. The count is the man as long as he stays in the strike zone, EAT s*** LAA
  18. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) I disagree......I would rather have george bell working in a gas station in the dominican then that pansy ass, whining, salsa listening, steroid abusing, bat corking cheater :sosasucks At the time it made some sense, he was a lazy outfielder who struck out too much.. We thought we fleeced them. BUT....it turns out we had to wait for good ol Matt Karchner to get back at them.
  19. wow, this thread quieted down in a hurry
  20. QUOTE(Sirotka33 @ May 26, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Mike Huff???? Is that really the best they could do? they could've brought in Charlie Hough
  21. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 26, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) They should move Rooney to the TV side and have Stoney join him... I think that would be an awesome duo. Dont tease me that would be AWESOME
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) ... and the best pitching coach in all of baseball by far. Whatever he touches turns into gold and it is not a coincidence Agreed, and before you begin to type Anthrax, and telling us that we are wrong and we need to see the light, you even said yourself than in certain situations (sox) the manager can have great influenece over the decisions made by the GM. In Atlanta, your example, they have 2 GREAT coaches helping guide the way.
  23. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) So your saying that the 13 divisonal title have more to do with the Manger than the GM? Uh, I said that it has more than just the GM to thank, its the manager, the coaches, the minor league system and the scouting system. The GM plays a part, yes, but as far as the team you have pegged, they have much more going for them than the GM.
