QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) LOL. How in the f*** could you possibly know this? :rolly Because he predicts the future, didnt you know that? I will admit that I was wrong on several fronts when discussing players in the offseason. But he wont, even though ALOT of them were very very off. I applaud KW for his moves this offseason and I look forward to more.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 24, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Fair trades off of course hahahaa, I figured someone would miss that, I should have put it in bold. I would like an elite 3b, but BMAC is for real, he was brilliant against the cubs and I see a rotation staple for a few years, not to mention the assload of talent coming right behind him. I think if we are going to trade one position, we are the deepest in the OF, which would mean getting rid of one of my fav players in our system, which would suck. I personally think Crede is underrated and underappreciated by us, he is a good fielder, makes some plays look easy so we dont realize how good he is. As far as a hitter, he is hitting 8th, and he is fine for me in that spot, compare him to other hitters in the same place in order and I bet he may have more power and better fielding.

Rogo walks and steals, and doesnt k very much. PLus if there was a brawl he would flat out DOMINATE the other team.

Best yet to come for White Sox ace Garland
RockRaines replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You are all a bunch of aces........ -
No thanks, you can keep him now, I want Brandon to stay, he is the man. Although, I would give up Honel or Tracy and Crede, but that would be with fair trades off.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) Wow, Anthrax wanted both Orlando Cabrera AND Russ Ortiz? That would have been our whole offseason with what those two guys got paid and our team would absolutely suck right now. but but but, KW sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 24, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Good deal, I was just wondering since I just noticed that. Thanks for the info. I was wondering too, then I download about 50 songs from limewire.....

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 24, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) You ask who I wanted to play DH of the Sox.. SO I told you NEver said anything about the realztion of it.. They don't let great minds into that role for the SOx..Case and point KW.. Yeah then we would have Russ Ortiz throwing up beachballs in the cell........

QUOTE(jasonxctf @ May 24, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) i know it sounds crazy but to me it looks like he doesn't even want to be out there. it seems like he doesn't care. Considering the paper has a count down to when your replacement arrives from rehab, I wouldnt blame him.

I like Widger at 3b

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 24, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) That was the case for Davis though. Dammit, cant we unload one of these guys, come on Kenny!!!!!!!

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 24, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) I pretty much agree with the idea of not resigning Konerko. The suggested $12+ million salary in the original Phil Rogers article seems very excessive for such a one-dimensional player. After last Saturday's game, the Sox had amassed a 31-12 record with Konerko hitting below .220. That should speak to his importance for our pitching-oriented team. And as was suggested earlier, I consider Ross Gload a very capable 1st baseman. His low salary would allow us to keep our pitching staff intact, and maybe even shop for some possible upgrades at other need positions (see Crede, Joe). Welcome to soxtalk But I think it was a bad post to begin your posting with. Ross Gload will never be a starting 1b, he is a bench player and fill in guy, thats it.

QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ May 24, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Joe Crede Timo Perez Luis Viscanizo Lets bring up Brian Anderson put Hernandez in the bullpen when he gets back and make B Mac a starter and make a trade for a new 3rd baseman Message Board Spam

If I was the Royals, I would trade the farm for a minor league system and just hold on and build from single A on. Get all draft picks, draft only pitchers and speed players. Its harder to keep power hitters under contract. Develop the staff from within, and win.

Uh, wonder if they all were, Belliard, Martinez, etc

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) Cubs fans seem to think it is Adam Dunn and Danny Graves. They will be happy that it's Billy Wagner but will be pissed they aren't getting Adam Dunn. Hahaha, they are talking on northside baseball that you started that rumor...... All the fans seem to think they are getting Dunn, I have a word to the wise for cubs fans, Dunn+Burnitz=most strikeouts in the league. Nothing you dont want more than 2 players who strike out the most in the MLB. So much for OBP.......

Look for him to play tonight, Im almost sure of it.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 23, 2005 -> 11:18 PM) Yes, more versatile. He can play left and first while konerko can just play first. That seems like two to one to me. Also, he is not slower than konerko. He hits for a higher average along with a higher ops ( career wise). Millar's career ops is 121 while konerko's is only 111. Millar we also be significantly cheaper than konerko. s***, I'd rather have Rogo come up than scrape the bottom of the barrel with millar, come on guys, that a little bit of a stretch.

Maybe its Brazoban and Bradley??

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 24, 2005 -> 08:29 AM) I wanna see Adkins up. I think he's long deserved for a shot. Eh, he had his shot, thats why he is back in triple A

QUOTE(sayitanitso @ May 24, 2005 -> 07:06 AM) Hopefully today cruddy and juan arent playin. largest sig ever. -
Viz was dominant in ST, and I think thats why Oz still wants him up there, thinking that he will come around. I prefer giving Baj another chance, this is the time to test out our depth.

Red's Closer Released..Do the Sox pick him up?

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 23, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Um, was it just me or did Scott Sullivan do pretty damn good? I loved Sully, he was clutch for us. -
QUOTE(Brian @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Everytime I see or hear Harold Reynolds, I keep trying to think of what the guy ever did in his baseball career that would make me want to listen to what he has to say. all I think about when i see Reynolds is that he made the last out at old comiskey, one of many in his career.
