Dear BBTN, Please stay away from the south side of chicago. Focus all of your energy on the north side urinal, and the most "talented" pitching staff in the league. There is nothing to see here -The White Sox

thats the freakin gayest thing I have ever heard.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) I drafted him in one league, which was much smaller, and jumped on LaTroy Hawkins as someone had already grabbed Herges. Hawkins, good pick

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 12:41 PM) As scared as I am about the prospect of it happening, the best thing to happen to the Sox would be for the Cubs to win the World Series. Yeah, I said it. If they won, we would have to endure about two years of utter torture, but then, they would just be another team. The mystique, the lovable loser tag, that old f*** Sam Siannis, the goat, Ronny Woo-Woo, and Ronny Boo-Hoo Santo, would all be just parts of the story from that year and all that curse crap would be over. They'd just be another team then. JMO. I agree with you until what you said above. I disagree completely. Look at all the Red Sox s*** that we have to hear about now. If the cubs won it all, consider all casual fans of the sox gone, and we might as well move to FLA.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) ptatc your insight will come in handy here. From all the reports I've read & I'm sure others have read as well, Frank had little to no problem with light running. Jogging or treadmill work if you will. That's why his optimism was saying mid-April back in Feb & even Mar. But then he tried doing some sprints & that's where the pain showed up. As you eluded to they are doing all they can to treat that pain. Is there any hope in the fact that he can jog but he can't sprint? Does the idea of playing with pain risk further injury? My questions exactly. If the doctors feel like he is fine, and its just alittle pain that he has to work through, then he should be working through it. I have rehabbed after surgery, and half the battle is just dealing with the pain, even though you are not risking further injury, you feel like you are. He needs to just keep working it, and the threshold of pain and inflammation will keep getting higher and higher.

what do you expect from a lifelong indians fan. Plus the tribune published this on the back page. Funny, I didnt think the cubs were so threatened by us....

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) Dye will turn it around. You simply do not remove veteran players from the lineup because they make a few poor defensive plays and are hitting badly in April. You just don't do it. How long did we stick with Konerko 2 years ago? How long did the Yankees stick with Jeter last year? Hell, how long did we stick with Crede while he wasn't hitting? 3 years? I understand the suggestion that maybe we should drop Dye in the batting order; he's probably even hurting Paulie right now, since if I were a pitcher I wouldn't show Paulie anything he could remotely hit with Dye coming up next. I'd even consider Dhing Dye for a day or two if he thought it would help him. Just give him time. He will snap out of this funk. And even Torii Hunter completely dropped a routine fly ball that hit his glove a week or so ago. The problem is the that part of the order is becoming a sort of black hole right now. Kong and Dye arent hitting, and are wasting the opps that are given to them. We need to find a different formula that will allow some balance in the lineup.

I cant wait to see BMAC Tracy and Gio up at the same time some day. Homegrown talent, YES!

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:36 AM) The thing that impressed me was all the guys volunteering to play out of position to do whatever they could to win this game...I read in the Cubune that not only did Jermaine volunteer but also Cliff Politte to play SS...that would have been a sight to see...I just love seeing everyone wanting to chip in and do whatever it takes to try and win... somehow cliff would have given up a double on his throw to first base. Maybe hung a slider?
-
Brian Anderson, its his time, please please please sit Jermaine Dye.
-
I sent him an e-mail questioning his ability to think for himself. Thats the problem with many northsiders, especially college students, they cant think for themselves.
-
Uribe's injury just points out a large hole we have in the infield at SS. We dont have anyone who can play that position effectively.
-
Wizards dare nocioni to beat them again.

Actually, I wish we didnt get any of this publicity, I want to keep being under the radar. Let ESPN talk about the cubs, and the Red Sox, its fine with me

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) Hawk has alot of dead air to fill (since DJ lacks thoughts in general, and pertinent thoughts in particular). Let's give him a break on the repetitiveness of some of his statements. What the hell are you talking about, UH OH, byebye
