  1. sounds good to me, we have no need for Davis
  2. up to #14, still havent head BMAC
  3. But in the same article they picked the best players in each position, and we officially have none in the top 5 for each, the indians have about 4
  4. QUOTE(LDF @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 02:09 AM) do you watch that show as well??? Iron Chef is awesome
  5. maxim picked the sox to win the division. 1.chicago 2.minnesota 3.Detroit 4. Cleveland 5. KC
  6. what a great article, its nice to see that someone actually gets it
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) Chipotle is great but El Famous is dirt cheap. I prefer el burrito mexicano in lisle, or taco burrito #3 on diversey and lincoln
  8. Im happy that we dont have to deal with the lying of a newspaper to us. The tribune just keeps lying to cubs fans when they should just come out and say Wood will be out for a month, because everyone knows its true. That would really piss me off if I knew I was constantly being lied to.
  9. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Is the game on TV or something? Mlb.com doesn't have audio for this. mlb tv works
  10. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) In you mind I imagined not but if your argument held any weight there would be at least one other roid player you could compare him to showing such a demonstrative change in walks as a result of roids. I'm asuming since you can't even name such a player you have no basis other than your opinion to support your argument. You could ask the question if Bonds only hit's 40-50 HR's during those yr's roids-free would teams have still intentionally walked him as many times as they did? I believe the answer is yes. You're making the assumption that w/out roids Barry is hitting fly outs. You can take the other argument that w/out roids Barry is not swinging for the fences as much & he's hitting more doubles & singles. I somewhat agree with your argument based on the other players that we have seen on Roids. Namely Sosa who, even though he was dangerous at the plate, never came close to the walks and OBP that Bonds has been able to achieve.
  11. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 08:57 AM) i think trading ben davis would be a smooth move, i just think that we have some decent catchers and we need other positions. I agree, I actually prefer Widger to Burke
  12. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) Becuase of one or 2 good moves KW has done, we should all bow down to all the f*** up this guy has made over the past 4 years.. Man Wake up.. This is the first year he actually done something for this team in regards to a "shake-up". Which should have happeend after 2002 when we fail to win the Division.. Back then I was calling for his head, to be fired, he got Colon and Koch.. But giving up the best closer in the AL..in Foulke. One would wonder why the A's would just so easyly give up such a "great" Closer in Koch and a propect(sp), for a non-closer.. HMMM.. The man is over his head, has no idea what or how to do things... Another case and point.. We get Iguchi for what we ask, yet overpay on Hernandez.. who hasn't pitched 200+ in in over 2/3 years.. and oo BTW is a fly ball pticher in Coors lite.. While the likes of Clement and Lowe were still out there, and are grounball pitchers something needed at the Cell. Just change your name to I hate KW and save us all 100 posts a day reading about it. Cant you maybe go and post about 1 of the other 15 teams you are a fan of.
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) I saw the pitch and then the rest of Marte's inning and I have no doubt that Damaso hit Lee on purpose. That pitch was a fastball that was obvious and as straight as an arrow. Usually Dams pitches have a sweeping action to them, as did every pitch he threw the rest of the inning. That pitch was dead straight. He meant to hit him, and you could tell from his lack of remorse, quickly followed by definance. I disagree totally, it looked like he released his pitch too late like I have seen him do a hundred times. He has thrown pitches like that to left handed batters and it just looks like an outside fastball. Carlos was right on top of the plate and Damaso's release was late. There is no way he wanted to hit him, thats ridiculous.
  14. im there, lower deck though, will be tailgating as well.
  15. Fielders bomb was unreal, straight center over the blue monster
  16. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) Man, I hope they hit this well against the Brewers when I see them play in April. Carlos who? well said, I cant wait for that game at Miller park
  17. I agree, I would much rather stick it to maggs that CLEE. IN fact I hope CLEE propels the brew crew over the cubs in the standings this year.
  18. speaking of ex-sox players maggs is hitting .263 with a .421 slg 1 hr 4 rbi in 19 ab's
  19. it appears that the approach of alot of these hitters is much improved as alot of the hits are to right center on outside pitches. This is something that has seriously lacked in previous years.
  20. uribe with a nice single and osuna motors home for another run. He is fast
