  1. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 07:36 PM) If young people aren't actually excited, they're probably just not voting. People under 35 will vote.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 06:05 PM) Young people don't vote. The demographic is under 35. So, yes they do.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 07:21 PM) Rubio giving what sounds a lot like an "I'm dropping out" speech but he hasn't actually said it yet. EDIT: OK he said it. Best speech he's made so far. Did anyone really think the White Trash rage wouldnt win in Florida? Thats literally ground zero.
  4. TT slots in there somewhere, he just wasnt there.
  5. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 04:54 PM) Young people like Bernie, not Hillary. Yes but if its Hillary vs Trump, the young will vote for Hillary. She's trending MUCH better with people under 30 than Trump, especially minorities.
  6. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) Three months ago I'd have totally agreed with this. Now, I think it might be naïve. I dont think there is any way that Trump can ride the white trash vote to the white house. Hillary has the dems, the minorities and the youth vote.
  7. The lack of candidates on the republican ballot was hilarious. Half of the field were totally empty
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) He has adapted many conservative positions since his miraculous conversion to being a Republican. Heck he could have changed his taxing positions since I last knew. He changes positions more often than Hillary does, so it is entirely possible. He changed his position because his last run was barely a blip on the radar since he trended towards the middle, he decided to capture the crazier, uneducated part of the right and its clearly paid off. He probably doesnt mean have the s*** he says during his campaign, but its been effective in capturing quite a following.
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 09:18 AM) Yes. Just funny were talking to him like a person. He didn't think Trump was a conservative, which is probably correct. Shapiro has used that to attack Trump at every angle. Probably his most vocal critic, which is saying something. Glad he's gone, but I'm sure he'll find another platform. WHo was? I was talking about Breitbart the news network
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 08:26 AM) I'd expect an in-your-face guy like Eaton to be one of those leaders, not to be on the guys that needs a pat on the back when they lose a couple games. Frazier adds quite a bit to the mix.
  11. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) HUH???? http://m.mlb.com/news/article/158894110/je...ect-fit-in-2016 Samardzija's competitiveness will play well at AT&T Park. Had he continued his football career, he would have been a perfect fit for the old Raiders, as he wears his emotions on his sleeve and plays off the crowd. Samardzija fought with Lorenzo Cain and the Royals last April, showing teammates he had their backs in an incident sparked by Yordano Ventura. He's a toolbag. I dont care if he played football, hes very unlikeable.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 06:42 AM) Breitbart hates Trump. Ben Shapiro is probably the loudest and harshest critic he has and it's getting embarrassing for Breitbart to keep giving him a platform. Breitbart endorsed Trump and has literally been a mouthpiece for his campaign.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 07:08 AM) The Hawks take a nap this time every year. Yep, March seems to be their spring break.
  14. Quick has kept the Kings ahead so far. Maybe this will be a 3-2 game
  15. QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) That 2nd goal was a bad one. They look sloppy as hell. Meaty rebounds coupled with lazy forwards.
  16. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) So Danks, Johnson, and Turner are all having pretty bad springs this far. Cause for concern or relax bruhhhh it's only spring training. Johnson isnt going to look good in AZ right now, his curve just hangs in that air, with that said I still think he's Gavin Floyd-light which isnt a good thing.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) Matt Spiegel ‏@MattSpiegel670 2h2 hours ago (1/2) Blackhawks Penalty kill % in Stanley Cup winning seasons: 2010: 4th (85.3), 2013: 3rd (87.2), 2015: 10th (83.4). (2/2) Blackhawks PK % in non-Stanley Cup seasons : '11: 25th (79.2), '12: 27th (78.1), '14: 19th (81.5). This season: 26th (78.3). Oof. The PK is a major concern and one of the only ones the team actually has.
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Throw aside your hate for him for a second. He's been very anti-NAFTA and anti-TPP through out it all. That's been the loudest part of his campaign outside of the wall. Whether anything could be done about them remains to be seen, but theoretically the uneducated and lower income people should be the ones benefitting from it. I disagree. His economic and trade policies would hurt the lower income bracket even more by hurting existing jobs and exports. He also is anti-TPP but his only opposition to that trade policy is that he can "Negotiate better deals." Its an empty promise and only morons would accept "negotiation" as an actual policy. He also isnt for increasing minimum wage which should be the #1 ask for most of his base. Oh, he also supports giant tax cuts for the wealthy and having Wal-Street pros run the economy. If I am in the lower income bracket and I have been forced to live in a trailer that I rent, I wouldnt be all that keen on literally everything he supports in his economic "plan." The "creation of jobs" that these supporters are REALLY in favor of is somehow exporting millions of immigrants and passing their jobs onto American workers who currently are unemployed. IMO if you look at a cross section of trump supporters, many of the people who are not working arent included in the unemployed statistics because they arent actually actively looking.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 10:57 AM) Sure, but in terms of the country and policies that affect everyday Americans, there's not much he can do. Remember, you're the one telling me the President can't act unilaterally without Congress or even the SC stepping in. The guy's a terrible person and an even worse candidate, but I'm just not terrified of him royally screwing things up. I just don't think that's possible in our system. Well we all know there are ways around the checks and balances but Congress can halt literally anything from getting done.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) I feel the exact opposite about Ragland. Yep, I dont think he's that great.
  21. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 10:34 AM) It's all so horrible. What I think is the benefit of something like Trumps rally in Chicago is for all his followers to actually see the people they are blaming for all of their problems. No hiding behind your community, if you are going to blame other groups for all of your problems you damn well better know who you are talking about. I think his supporters need quite a bit of education on what they are getting behind. By and large the group is made up of uneducated, lower income people. Thats not exactly who are benefitting from Trump getting elected.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 06:26 AM) Fathom vs Rock? Do they still shoot free throws in the NIT? If so, im out.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) Highly recommend voting for Foxx tomorrow in the states attorney race. TV tells me shes sketchy
