QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 13, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Let me ask this question...would we still have Donald Trump leading the nomination process at this point without ISIS and the Paris attacks? The more and more you think about it, this phenomenon isn't about China either, because China has been trending downward economically since last June and looks like it will end up somewhere between late 80's/early 90's Japan and 1997-98 and 2008-09 financial crises. Backlash against Mexicans and illegal immigration? Well, Lou Dobbs pounded that drum for years and didn't get anywhere. Pat Buchanan as well. Yes, because there is a base of americans that really really want someone white and bigoted in the white house. Usually you would say this would be the evangelical base and it would be more focused towards supporting religion, but its there and he incited it. He's had literally nothing to say as far as his plans in the white house other than "Make America Great again" and "i'll negotiate" and that plays into the voting base that never cares about how things will actually be done. ISIS should be a small blip on the radar of things killing Americans compared to the real issues we face, but for some reason its a topic brought up in every debate.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) So apparently John Kasich might not be on the Pennsylvania primary ballot? He barely had enough signatures and some were questioned by a Rubio supporter and thrown out. However, the apopeal was lodged 13 minutes after the deadline to challenge it. It sounds a bit confusing. Not one to miss a good loophole, Trump of course is jumping on this fact and saying that Kasich should not be allowed to run in Ohio, where they are neck and neck in the polls. This is a depressing soap opera. I thought that was fake

I believe the students I spoke with on Madison St Friday night were part of this group. They said it was a student organized protest. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/201...8#ixzz42mjimTsv

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 13, 2016 -> 09:46 AM) Good, there is no place for that type rhetoric. You can dislike Trump but threatening his well being is a crime! Every single candidate faces the same stuff.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 04:49 PM) I'd think a hippy, pot smoking, liberal til I die like you would be familiar with moveon.org. Please note, I'm a liberal. Just not a blind one. #feelthebern I'm neither a hippy or a liberal.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 01:04 PM) There's a big excluded middle between "random group of protesters," "Bernie's people" and even "just MoveOn.org." There were a lot of different groups there last night. I spoke with a couple of kids that were organized by their Muslim student association.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:56 PM) Relax. You're acting like this was just a random group of protestors. Again this was extremely well organized. I'm literally hysterically laughing. You can't be more relaxed than that.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:55 PM) lol if you think a single group organized the response to a white nationalist rally and that there weren't a bunch of different groups there. Trumps supporters were all organized by white supremacist organizations. Duh.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:53 PM) It was put together by Moveon.org. The chants were all about bernie sanders. Everyone going into the event were given stuff about bernie sanders. It was well organized. Bernie certainly didn't disavow the violence but rather encouraged it. As we know he should have to disavow that every 15 minutes. I'm sure not every protestor was there for Bernie, just the most organized ones. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. I don't support Bernie and I can see f***ing dumb that is. Every single protester there last night supported someone other than Trump. Most were there because they do not support blatant racism.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:52 PM) Trump supporters are so gullible. Chicago in particular has as strong left political base, especially when it comes organizing and protesting. It's crazy. Trump then said he wants to protect our first amendment and then follows it up with a call to throw out people from his rally. The irony is ridiculous.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:48 PM) The protests were organized by his group. Lol what? That's hilarious. Every person who doesn't want to put up with blatant racism and oppression and decided to protest was because of Sanders? I mean to believe that is amazing.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) And oh yeah before I forget: please note the irony of "I never thought the first amendment would be challenged" and "we need to ban all Muslims from entering the country until we figure out what the Hell is going on". Exactly. Trump is literally the one is who challenging the first amendment. He's been doing it for months.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) The First Amendment is not the one I'd hoped would be challenged this election season. Last night was an embarrassment and against everything this country stands for - or at least I thought. f*** anyone who supports Bernie Sanders right now. Trump has been challenging the first amendment rights of people in this country for months. Last night people finally got sick of it And what does Bernie Sanders have to do with anything? Such a weird statement

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) Yep. These guys do realize they would be obliterated in seconds? I guess not... The funniest part was the guy acting like they are some righteous cause with the "Brother, brother it's not worth it." LMAO That dudes sweatshirt is priceless

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 10:53 AM) It's people who put ketchup as the extra ingredient on the traditional chicago style hot dog that are the monsters. You don't mess with a perfect recipe. Gene and Jude's is my favorite dog and it's not even full Chicago style. It's perfect.

This guy sums up 99 percent of the Trump supporters I saw last night https://twitter.com/trymainelee/status/708310127430860800 So Much meth powered hate.

Starting fights inside, smashing cops with bricks, blocking ambulances, shooting guns in the air. Lol. I especially like the freeze frame of the guy throwing the punch. The video is out there of him getting mauled for 5 min, why didn't you post that?
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) I don't disagree with you guys, he got what he asked for. But I still think it's incredibly sad that a moron like Trump camp be defeated with reason and logic and we have to resort to violence. I know it was pretty minimal violence, but still. It doesn't have to be violent but his supporters are told to react with force so that's what it turns into. If your "leader" tells you to be violent do you really think someone who is getting punched is just going to stand there? He's completely at fault.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) Trump makes light of violence at every event he speaks at He actually encourages it. Says in the good old days protesters would be beaten and they should be today.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 09:19 AM) I'm telling you, those f***ers wanted to start fights. They feel embolden being around a group of their fellow racist asshat peers. They were just heckling students that weren't even protesting FFS! The more this escalates, the more Trumps chances goes down. He'll bring people out to the ballot box if he's the nominee; a slew of minorities will insure he doesn't get elected and there are not enough white people to put him in there. They started early in the morning trying to fight and it only got worse. I felt like George Wallace was having a rally.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 09:15 AM) Rubio and Kasich jumped on Trump for what happened yesterday. They blamed his rhetoric for what happened. Trump is not a divider, he's a uniter against him and his nutter agenda. MSNBC has an excellent video montage of every single speech he gave where he condoned violence.
