  1. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 08:41 PM) Paging Ptact.... Jaylon Smith is already walking, but is wearing something called a AFO. A guy on Twitter who may or may not have 17+ years as an NFL phycisian says that would indicate nerve damage. Earlier reports said there was no nerve damage. What gives? Does the AFO 100% indicate nerve damage, or could it just be part of the rehab? I was just starting to think the Bears should take a chance on him in the first, but this would knock me back out of that consideration. The Bears wouldnt want another Red Shirt rookie. There was no chance they were going to take him in the first.
  2. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) His combine physical is tomorrow, so hopefully we get more information tomorrow or soon there after. He's a red shirt player with significant knee damage. Thats a huge risk in the draft. Sucks since he's a good kid. However that should improve Darron Lee's stock a bit since they measured in at exactly the same size.
  3. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) Hahaha, Sam Fels and the Committed Indian is what you're bringing to the table? You're right, I don't know hockey at all. I hate Seabs but he was nails last year and is valuable as hell. He definitely hasn't had his best year but I expect more in the playoffs.
  4. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 09:03 PM) @Real_ESPNLeBrun Still unsure if Dan Hamhuis will want to waive, but if he does, I think the teams in play for him are Chicago and Dallas... He shouldn't cost that much at his age.
  5. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 08:52 PM) Jesus, you really can be an unhappy human sometimes. He's a 10 year veteran that been one of the Top 15 Dman in the league for a large portion of it. I'm willing to give him a little more time before labeling him a liability or a problem. Let him go, usually everything he hates rights itself.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 08:50 PM) I can't imagine it being any other way. Yeah they are all still close. It's been mentioned before.
  7. The rookie of the year wasn't signed to this team until April
  8. So the new thing is to annoy Panarin and hit him as much as possible. Not sure that's going to work.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 07:27 PM) And it is worth pointing out that Dano did seem to fall out of favor here. Really really quickly
  10. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) Now reading the tweets, steep price, but they have to go for it. It's obviously going to be a low pick in the 1st round, & Dano couldn't crack the lineup this season after a number of opportunities. Need to cash in now. Plus wingers IMO is a deep prospect position for the Hawks. I love it.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 05:59 PM) I do agree with him in that the organization needs to give hitters a reason to come here. Pitchers come here to work with Cooper, but hitters don't seem interested despite the Cell being a hitters park Our lineup is quite a bit better offensively on paper than it was last year, but lets be honest, the Sox have been dogs*** for many years, its not an attractive place to play right now. The Cubs signed 3 starter FA's for less than they were offered by other teams including Heyward. It matters if your team is a favorite.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 04:38 PM) That's nice. Like I said, I don't really give a crap what the reason is. If you want to look at every free agent outfielder individually you can come up with a fine excuse on why said player didn't sign with the Sox but when you miss out on every single one there's a problem somewhere with how you're operating. Sure, we could have kidnapped him and forced him to play for the Sox, or drastically overpaid a player after which you would be angry at the production to cost ratio, or the Sox could have magically become the favorite to win the World Series thereby attracting more players. All are legit strategies.
  13. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 02:43 PM) I would imagine that if they trade a quality player like Coghlan for Aaron freakin Brooks they must have tried many other places and not found much interest. Or they took the first deal they had. We have no idea if they even talked to the Sox
  14. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) It's been said before, but the real frustration here is seeing Coghlan go to Oakland for peanuts, not Fowler signing elsewhere. And how do we know he was offered to the Sox?
  15. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 02:25 PM) It makes sense. Another great chance to make the playoffs and possibly the WS. Baltimore and White Sox are probably .500 teams. Wanted to play for the Cubs, wants to be a contender, Cubs are currently favorites to win a WS. I completely understand why the Sox had .0000001% chance.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 12:13 PM) I don't give a f*** what the reason is, Sox fans have the right to be pissed off about this. Why? He wanted to play for the Cubs
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 08:53 AM) We ended up with around a foot of heart attack snow. We are still under a travel state of emergency. I saw some footage, its incredible how a few miles separate nothing from a blizzard.
  18. QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 24, 2016 -> 06:14 PM) some real high class head coaches: Charlie Strong having an affair with a Louisville booster's wife http://www.si.com/college-football/2016/02...orce-case-texas Butch Jones telling player he betrayed the team by helping alleged sexual assault victim http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/...-assault-victim Jones is going to get fired over this if there is any way they can confirm this. Coaches get fired for much much less.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2016 -> 07:07 PM) Maybe for you. We've got about 6-7 inches, and it is supposed to snow all night too. A good chunk of The Region is without power. Well for Chicago it was.
