The Hawks after a rest were a totally different team. I liked the 3rd line's energy.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 11:59 AM) To a certain extent, this is more what Christianity is about than conservative politicians spewing hate on TV. We are supposed to be having these conversations with people close to us, but not to the point that it's repetitive and makes people not want to be around us. If your family has had this conversation with you once or twice, then they should back off and leave it at, "if you ever have any questions, we're free to talk." Also, if they are having these conversations with you, then they better damn well be setting living examples of what they are preaching. Not to the extent of being perfect, because nobody is, but if the people having conversations with you are having problems with adultery, drugs, etc., then they really ought to be getting their own lives in order before preaching to you. Big reason why Christians are widely viewed as hypocrites. Also a big reason why politicians should not base their political beliefs on their faith. It's hard for your life's decisions to hold up under that kind of scrutiny. I have had a lot of ups and downs in my life and there have been times where I made it a point NOT to discuss religion because I knew I wasn't living what I would have been preaching. Thats strange in its own right.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) Yeah I feel you, it's always awkward going home for the holidays and your family members grill on your "heathen" life. More like "when was the last time you had a conversation with Jesus?"

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 11:09 AM) Thanks for the correct. I'm not a religious man and tend to lump all religious people into one category. me either but a good portion of my extended family falls into the Evangelical camp and I've seen it first hand, it can get pretty extreme.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) I agree with most of you that Cruz doesn't have a chance in the GE. Nobody wants America to be ran on christian values, that ship has sailed. Its not 'Christian Values" its Evangelical Christian Values which is a super extreme.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) Not sure that message is getting through. Look at the polling. Long way to go. I havent been asked and either have most of the younger voting groups that dont have land lines for people to hit up for polling. Lots of factors here before it really matters.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) Bernie couldn't win a super-white state like Iowa. That's why he's going to have problems when they get to southern states. Polls show Hillary has the black vote locked up. Very ironic that Hillary is going to win the nomination largely due to states that she won't win in November. What an odd system for picking candidates. I dont think Hillary has any minority voting locked up. Bernie's policies and history are much friendlier to minorities.

QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 12:42 AM) I decided to watch it. That was a huge mistake. Did you actually watch that video? Aside from raises taxes on the 1%, when did they even bring up what Sanders is standing for? Fox News continues to use the word "socialism" because people don't understand it and are scared by it, it's a buzz word. What did they actually say in that video? What did you take from it? It's incredible that in 6 and a half minutes, they could actually say nothing. Socialist media? REALLY? The whole point of that video is to prey on the uninformed. It's crap.

Cruz's entire speech is contradicting his policies.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) Bush has really resented the "upstart" Rubio jumping his place in line as they're from the same state and Bush was sort of a mentor to him at one time...not unlike Hillary's camp thinking Obama should have waited his turn eight years ago. It would be nice to see Kasich and Christie and the reasonable candidates left pushing their supporters in the direction of Rubio. Kasich has one final shot in NH to gain some ground, and I actually think Rubio and Kasich would make an excellent pairing for a general election, because of his popularity in Iowa. You need to balance Rubio's youth with someone more experienced. That said, because of Hillary's expected advantage with women, there's at least a 50/50 chance he tries to counter with a Nikki Haley or Susana Martinez type. Don't see Fiorina and Rubio fitting together, although that would be interesting as well. Once people really start paying attention to Cruz's policies he's going to drop off. Dude is nuts. Rubio is going to get a s***load of money based on tonight's results and I think you are right on pairing him with a woman.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Rubio is up to 21% now. Trump down to 25% with 50% of the votes in... 28/25/22 with 75%. Unless Sanders can upset Clinton, the story of tonight will be Rubio's ascendancy and the potential beginning of the end for Trump...but he can still win NH and South Carolina. The GOP has to hope they destroy each other and that Rubio clearly becomes the only realistic chance for beating Clinton in the general. Cruz and Trump are both nuts so Rubio is the only chance the GOP has.

Does Illinois have a recruiting coordinator?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 27, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) I don't trust anything until he signs. Getting nervous dude? Time for the bagmen to step up, you know Clemson and Auburn are.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:35 AM) Enter PHF dumbass trade idea. Lakers get: Rose + Portis + 1st round pick Bulls get: Russell + Hibbert Lakers get a potential star, and a couple of young assets. Bulls get a young potential star, and bigtime salary relief a year early with Hibbert coming off the books, and keep lottery pick. Russell needs out of LA while Scott is still coaching. He's stunting his development and has some sort of problem with him. Whoever they drafted would have been in the same spot. I'd love to get him on the Bulls.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 09:57 PM) Holy s*** are the Lakers bad. And if I'm them unless I get the #1 pick to land Simmons I'm hoping I fall out of the top 3 this year so that the 76ers get the pick this year since this draft looks pretty bad right now rather than having the 76ers get their pick no matter what next year. They have the worst head coach in the NBA.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 10:03 PM) What a choke by OSU The free throw disparity tells the story. Fouls don't win. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) I have multiple sonos, so I guess the answer is no. I dont think that feature is there since it would have to integrate with the Sonos mobile app, that would be cool as hell though.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 01:22 PM) Does it work with sonos? Its its own speaker.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) Exactly. Iowa had 8 four star recruits on their roster this past season. The entire West division has 8 four star or above commits. It doesnt take much.
-
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) Kansas City and New England are apparently eyeing Miller in the 2nd round. I actually think he would fit excellently in both of those offenses. Yep, he's now being projected 2nd round after his performance at practice.
-
QUOTE (gatnom @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) I'm not sure the current staff has many connections to the midwest to do this kind of thing. I mean their highest recruit from Illinois itself is ranked 30th in the state or so. They just dont seem to know how to recruit well at all, there needs to be change. There are plenty of good players in IL/WI/IN and OH that they could have easily if they stayed in touch and made those connections. It really doesnt take much to have the best class in the BIG West and thats the first step to winning your division.

IMO, Illinois needs to focus on regional guys that may be growing their senior year where Illinois may be one of their better offers. Going after national guys at this point isnt a good strategy.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 27, 2016 -> 04:45 PM) What do you guys use it for? Music? Weather updates? Thats what I want to know. It seems to have some cool features but I dont know if I am going to use them.
