  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) David Griffin live on ESPN right now. "LeBron doesn't run this team, he is about this team." "This notion that LeBron runs this team is unfair to him and unfair to me." "I know what something that doesn't look right looks like. It may be the wrong decision." Apparently he didn't consult LeBron. Riiiiight. Everyone knows its a lie. You fired the best coach in your history because your star didnt like him, we get it.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) This is exactly what happened last time in Cleveland. LeBron gets to be best player, GM and coach. They could have had Wiggins instead of Love, but now they have two power forwards signed to max deals they aren't living up to, Shump signed for good money and Smith just...there. Watch them fall short again and LeBron bolt again. Last time they kept the coach and LeBron left.
  3. First place- check on pace for 60 wins - check Fired, you betcha
  4. TB was motivated to get that win and it showed. Hawks will get back on track tonight.
  5. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 08:09 PM) She went to the police, got a rape kit done. That's what you're supposed to do in that situation. Twitter over a year later is not the proper place to make accusations. Kane has never been found guilty of rape, but his victim was never found guilty of "fabricating evidence", either. Stop with the childish victim blaming. There was no evidence.
  6. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 04:16 PM) I got on my soapbox last summer and for good reason, but this one I'm not giving much attention to. Just the way it was posted, no charges just a "story", plus there is talk this is from a livejournal account that seriously does Toews and Kane sexual fan fiction or something? I don't know what is the real story, and until it picks up way more steam, I'm not paying much attention to it. It's pretty evident from the flightplan and other player's accounts (Toews being at brunch the next morning in Chicago) that its impossible that the Kane was where this "girl" said he was. I's great clickbait though since he is just coming off of the other "scandal". LOL, I just looked up that fan fiction stuff. There are actually sexual fan fiction stories written about these guys on the internet, holy s***.
  7. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 04:05 PM) Ok, good. Sorry, I just despise that site. Thats why I laughed. Of course the internet detectives have links to the Hawks charter flying back to Chicago that night. http://www.flightstats.com/go/HistoricalFl...ft+Air&x=26
  8. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 03:59 PM) Really, Sports Mockery? That's where you are going for major news stories? And you're upset about low hanging click bait? Thats where this story was posted, it was sarcasm. The story started on Reddit and was published on sports mockery. http://sportsmockery.com/2016/01/an-insane...r-ego-surfaces/
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) http://espn.go.com/nhl/team/schedule/_/nam...cago-blackhawks They played the Kings November 29th. She said Nov of 2014 that this happened. Next game was December 3rd at home. Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc 2h2 hours ago I saw the latest Patrick Kane thing. I can't confirm the Hawks left on the plane immediately after that game. They may have stayed over. Two places i look for major news stories and its Reddit and Sports Mockery. I especially liked where she mentioned two players only hockey hardcore fans know anything about. Come on. This is low hanging click bait.
  10. She got the days wrong. Also didn't the Hawks fly home after the last game of a circus trip? The Internet is so dumb.
  11. Can you illuminate us on the process you went through? I think that would be a valuable asset.
  12. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 12:08 PM) Let's remove being a grown-up for second. They were on the road, so you can have your phone alarm, a hotel wake up call, your agent call you every day, and most guys, especially at the level of a guy like Panik, have a roommate on the road. It's quite an impressive feet actually. Apparently they did away with roommates but still, it was 11:30. You either got drunk last night or took 2 ambien.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) They did. Whole thing is a gigantic touch screen. Obviously steering wheel has volume controls (so that helps), but I'm really not a big fan of touch screens in cars. Buttons are just so much easier and less distracting (cause you can use feel and thus not take your eyes off the road). people criticize BWM for having a bunch of buttons and the knob thing, but its so much more efficient to hit a button. And touch screens run on software that is very prone to freezing. Ive had to hard restart mine several times.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) My 2005 was awesome (stupid car that rear ended it). Styling wise I like the new Highlander more than the Pilot, but the features of the Pilot / tech are just fantastic. Although the whole touch screen everything would drive me up a f***ing wall. They are getting too cute...everyone knows nobs for volume work better than a touch screen for volume control. Oh no they didnt do that did they? One of the only things that annoys me about my jeep tech is the heated/cooled seats and steering wheel are two taps into the touch screen. I would rather have buttons for that.
  15. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 10:07 AM) This is also kind of a Bowman special, he did this last year with the Ben Smith-Desjardins trade. Smith was signed for two years, Desi was a FA at the end of the year. I think everyone, including Bowman was surprised at how well Desjardins turned out, but the idea was exactly the same at the time. And Ben Smith was put on waivers yesterday.
  16. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 09:50 AM) i am surprise at the trade and Garbutt did his job. he brought his lunch box to the ice ..... but as someone asked of savings. i can see the hawks trading him if it meant the player coming is a fa next yr. i see this as moving pieces for the bigger picture. resigning Panarin and the salary he would want...... that is the priority . I think he became redundant with the emergence of some of the other lower line guys, plus Kruger is coming back some day...
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) None this year, but Sekac will be a FA while Garbutt was still signed for next season. link Nice. Sekac is also 23 and apparently a skilled winger that really hasnt had the results yet. I wonder if our system will open up his game a bit.
  18. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 09:34 AM) Stan is really washing his hands of that entire Sharp trade... Pretty much. Daley was addition by subtraction apparently.
  19. Garbutt traded for Jiri Sekac. I didnt mind Garbutt actually, his speed was surprising.
  20. The pilot is the car that literally every family buys, I am not crazy about the redesign since it looks more like the absolutely s***ty CRV but people swear by it. My sis and my SIL both drive a pilot.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 05:36 AM) And tthe warriors still aren't as socially significant as the Jordan/Pippen/Rodman Bulls. That was as Rock Star as an NBA team has ever been. And Hakeem individually wasn't nearly Magic or Bird at the box office. Hakeem wasn't as marketable or exciting as Shaq was.
  22. QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Anyone have a recommendation for a golf simulator place? The prices seem higher than I was anticipating and if I go, I want it to be a good one. The itch is becoming unbearable, haven't picked up a club in a few months. Have you been in one before? I hate them since it feel like swinging in a tunnel. I prefer just hitting wedges at a golf dome or heated range.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 09:36 PM) Really it was a matter of getting guys to grow, and to get used to each other, in order to get to where they wanted to be. They gave Kane a real second line center, and look what happens. Anisimov's acquisition can not be understated. He's been key.
  24. Good job of keeping your stadium empty Nashville. I'm sure you didn't need the concession money.
