  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 06:53 AM) Female and male teachers? Required? Voluntary? Age limits? Special ed teachers? Just coaches and administrators? What happens if he/she uses the gun to enforce classroom discipline or loses it when a student refuses to turn over a cell phone? Substitute teachers are more likely to shoot their classes out of frustration. What about the jobs of security guards/police officers? Increased cost for liability insurance when someone is accidentally shot or takes gun away from teacher to shoot others or commits suicide with a school-issued weapon? Why not every worker at a shopping mall, concert venue or university? Libraries? Amusement parks? Stadiums/arenas? Arming teachers would cost each school at least a million bucks minimum. I'm sure that money will just fall from trees.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 12:35 AM) Of course a teacher with a gun will be smart enough to be well trained in how to use it. Caulfield ... what do you suggest? If our politics prevents keeping these guns off the streets the least we can do is arm the teachers? It sucks that the madmen come in ablazing and there's no way to stop him. So arm every teacher? Where do they keep it? Who pays for it? Who pays for the training and certification? Do we arm support staff as well? Who pays for that?
  3. Every single game there are at least 5 calls that even the announcers say wtf. Something has to change.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 04:38 PM) An aide to a State Rep. in Florida is emailing journalists accusing the students of being "crisis actors" from out of state. https://twitter.com/learyreports/status/966074529201246209 Don’t you love alt right talking points? Now the kids are actors and it’s a conspiracy.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 04:35 PM) Weren’t they going to be outlawed after Las Vegas? I guess the deal was at least one more massacre then the bump stock will be the sacrificial lamb. They were considered borderline for years since automatic machine guns are "banned", but they argued this doesnt turn them into "machine guns."
  6. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 04:22 PM) Sounds like the master negotiator is coming to his senses. Allegedly he's told Sessions that he wants bump stocks outlawed and age limits are now on the table. his statement was very carefully worded to actually produce nothing. He said turn into "machine guns," which is a huge point of debate on why these were legal in the first place.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 12:19 PM) MICHIGAN 2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! /insert Rowand44 "Wichita St wouldn've won" you still get the L unfortunately. I'm actually shocked they got that penalty.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 11:48 AM) Yes! We should live in a quasi-militaristic society where there are armed people everywhere. Sounds like utopia. Its a well established talking point. More guns means more safety because bad guys always find weapons easily.
  9. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Feb 20, 2018 -> 11:00 AM) That stat is dishonest only because it carries a different definition of "school shooting" than "person brings gun to school during school hours and starts shooting." With that being said, I tend to agree with you that people should be very careful about throwing that "18 school shootings" number around without context (seems like they define it as "weapon discharges on school grounds"). Anytime a gun is brought to school for the purpose of aggression it should be counted as something.
  10. Zach Morris is trash on Amazon is f***ing amazing
  11. The genius president quote tweeted a Russian bot account.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 19, 2018 -> 07:00 AM) After 4 years of Trump and 8 years of Oprah/Kimmel, the 2028 presidency will be Nugent/Kid Rock. Idiocracy is coming to life. It will be the winner of the final rose on the Bachelor winter games.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 12:34 PM) Yeah, we should listen to Ted Nugent. I’ve gotta admit. It’s a pretty amazing way to make a post look even worse than it already did.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 02:02 PM) Keep playing Dakich and Young Some sort of curse on Diop.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 09:30 PM) It doesn't matter, it's already been shown so many times on social media, it's a fact in today's world. It's not very different than the Russian election bots. Post it enough on social media and it is bound to come true. Imo. Anytime a gun is brought to school in an act of aggression for the purpose of harm it’s wrong and should be documented. Even if people weren’t killed it’s an event we need to be aware of.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 03:51 PM) <!--quoteo(post=3597043:date=Feb 16, 2018 -> 12:50 PM:name=StrangeSox)-->QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 12:50 PM) <!--quotec-->The FBI said it failed to act on a tip warning of the suspected Florida school shooter's potential for violence wasn't just federal law enforcement that dropped the ball As soon as that s*** happens, all guns should be locked away in a mutually controlled safe. Something needs to be put in place there.
  17. It is pretty funny to watch the President actually catch himself in lies.
  18. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 02:58 PM) True, I guess i'm assuming that Zuckerberg would want to help his liberal friends. But as always, the almighty dollar always trumps (ba-doom-ching) politics. The dollar always wins, and turning down probably millions of pages views isnt worth it to them.
  19. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 02:42 PM) First Amendment. It's different if they know for sure that it's foreigners running afoul of federal election laws. But if it might just be Joe Basementdweller creating a Facebook group and posting a bunch of nonsense, what are they gonna do? Any report of the Obama admin trying to crack down on Facebook for allowing anti-Hillary content would be a scandal. Plus Facebook and others thrives on traffic, they dont care how they get it.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 01:59 PM) Paul Skrbina‏ @ChiTribSkrbina 5m5 minutes ago Slight clarification: he was asked whether there was any concern it could become career-threatening. Paul Skrbina @ChiTribSkrbina Joel Quenneville when asked whether Corey Crawford's injury was career-threatening: "Not sure about that. Too far out (to tell)." Adding even more evidence that its not an actual injury.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 01:54 PM) Eh that's kinda circular logic. Perfectly mentally sound people are capable of doing awful, awful things. Either that or the rate of undiagnosed mental illness is astronomical. Of course, but I do not believe any sort of mental treatment is going to convert a terrorist to some normal functioning human.
  22. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 11:32 AM) 100% agree. I think the talk of "mental health is the real problem" even at its most sincere is just so vague. Terrorists are always going to be mentally ill, thats why they become terrorists. Its a horrific copout.
  23. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 01:38 PM) Turns out this guy wasn't in a white supremacist group despite several corporate media companies spreading the same lie. I am sure the retractions (if any) will carry the same amount of attention as their initial attempt to use a tragedy to run a narrative. The 4chan user who duped them has also said he hasn't slept in a few days and Elvis was also in their White Supremacy group. I am not joking here either that's actually what he said. Quite a source for several corporate media companies The 4chan guy was the guy multiple news outlets interviewed? The organization they attributed to this is 100% real. Do you have a link? Was the MAGA hat and the racial comments he posted also found fake?
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 09:06 AM) Little Marco said yesterday stricter gun laws wouldn't have stopped this massacre. I really don't know how he can say that. Maybe it wouldn't, but to totally dismiss it is his NRA donations talking. I hope voters do something about him. These Florida shootings may be hitting close enough to home for them to realize what this dope is about. There is a reason florida has some of the most lax gun laws in the country...
