  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2018 -> 10:14 AM) Having not researched the actual vehicles...I absolutely love the Volvo (White paint color) XC 90. It is just a beautiful vehicle. Maybe living where I am I'm just sick of seeing X5's and Mercedes SUV's and the occasions XC-90 just looks so nice (and their white is a very bright and sharp white paint). Its an amazing looking car. I priced it out with a dealer and it was like 70k. Thats a pretty big investment for 3k/miles per year
  2. Just wait until Trump finds out that White People make up 40% of food stamp recipients
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 13, 2018 -> 08:38 AM) Their interiors are among the best, if not the best in the business. I did read that Tesla recently poached their lead interior designer (not the right term). When I was buying my Q7 I did a lot of research of comparisons with the XC90. As off a year or so ago, I know people were experiencing a lot of problems with them. It is a beautiful SUV though. The new interior on the 90 and 60 are f***ing gorgeous. We looked at the 60 for my wife and it was too small, and the 90 is a big large. The optional built in dog kennel was cool to see in person.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 05:36 PM) Friend from work has a Sorrento.....very nice looking SUV The push button transmission on the MDX eliminated it immediately. Such a dumb thing. Nothing really groundbreaking in that category that I saw. Everyone was gathered around the new Traverse, but thats about it. The rest are pretty much the same as they have been. Volvo has done some nice things with their interior, they are always so creative.
  5. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 12:11 AM) To be fair, I've always hated Seabrook. +1 But the point is valid. MadOnline people are f***ing terrible.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 12:34 PM) Examined as a precaution. http://abcnews.go.com/US/donald-trump-jrs-...ory?id=53023384 Seems okay. Hope so. The more DJTJ trolls on the internet the more people are going to detest him. Why not just stay in the background?
  7. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 09:41 AM) I really do miss the Chicago Auto Show. The Austin one is like a middle school science fair by comparison. Ill report back later. Its f***ing awesome that I can just take the green line there.
  8. Heading to the auto show today to check out some cars for the wife. Focusing on the Sorrento, MDX and whatever other 3 row SUVs are around.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 9, 2018 -> 09:51 AM) That is where I am at. me too. This is just not their year.

    2018 catch-all

He did the bottle flipping challenge with f***ing rockets
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2018 -> 11:27 AM) This season is already better than bb19. Feeds have been fun as well. I feel like they could have gotten some younger, single celebs in there. And obviously, more than 3 weeks.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2018 -> 08:21 AM) I despise Trump but being the drama king she is, I would bet on Omarosa overdoing it, on her own or because of the producers. That's why she's there and I'm convinced they rigged it for her to get immunity Week 1. I thought her viewpoint was probably what alot of people in the WH are feeling. But yeah, they cant let her get kicked out. Shannon Elizabeth is growing on me.
  13. The White house is so s***ty that Omarosa makes you pity her.
  14. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 08:38 PM) The refs in the ILL/WI game just called 5 fouls in 30 seconds lol. This is ticky tack stuff. Something has to be done about the officiating at some point. Its really terrible.
  15. Got around to watch some of the game from last night. Haas was guarded by a guy almost a foot shorter than him the entire second half and still only had 3 rebounds all game? With how dirty the guy is, he's a bit lazy as well.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 31, 2018 -> 08:59 AM) Yeah, and now there are facebook groups. Peloton has a group of 50k people, and many, many sub-groups. It is indeed a motivating and valuable thing to be part of a like-minded community. It spills into all sorts of other things as well, particularly charitable donations, causes, etc. Sometimes you DO need to get out of the house though. I think a hybrid is a real nice approach. I'm REAL close to pulling the trigger on a bike, ive been back and forth a few times.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 04:46 PM) I'm taking my two daughters to one of these, at my public elementary school, in a couple weeks or so. They call it a "Sweetheart Dance", for female students and whatever parent they want to bring. From last year, its 95% fathers, but there were a few mothers/women too. No one around here seems offended. Ah, a public school still doing it, nice. I think they've pretty much "sock hopped" all of those at ours.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 04:48 AM) I wanted just one call on him in the two games we played them but nope. I expect them to call it when they are away from Mackey, but it doesnt happen all the time. The 7 seconds standing in the lane is pretty great.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 08:28 PM) Haas always camping in the lane. That’s his move. Then he throws out the left arm and pushes off as he lunges.
  20. Took off from Min and the entire Front court was about to foul out, landed and caught the last few min. Bot it’s hard to win on the road but that was more than quality. Wow.
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 01:44 PM) You said: "I actually think it somewhat problematic. Not every kid has a father who is a part of their life, I dont really see the need for schools to exacerbate this issue." But this is one of the problems. There always are going to be exceptions. So the solution is never to have an event of any kind because it might exclude somebody. So we have no events and our kids just continue to sit on the couch and play video games cause there's no events to be had because of PC. or you could just include everyone in the event....
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 01:40 PM) Please don't turn this into a blast Greg issue. It's all over Twitter and the websites of news organizations. I'm not making this one up. People are outraged. And from what I read in other stories the dance was to be canceled before the outrage. Whatever the specifics this is a big deal. I'm not finding some obscure story. Do a twitter search on daddy-daughter dances. I've never met or heard from anyone that is outraged, since these still go on with regularity around here. My kids school invites both parents since its not church affiliated, but next year it will be a mother son dance. And I will gladly stay home. Rule #1 - never search twitter.
  23. All of the father daughter dances around us are in religious schools or churches themselves which are not subject to Title IX I believe. So its not an issue and nobody cares. Also you should link the article.
