QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 08:40 AM) If OSU was playing Alabama, and I pretty much hate OSU 364 days a year, I definitely would want them to win. I want all big ten teams to win their bowl games. It's good for the conference. The better other teams are, the better the team you root for in the same conference will have to be. Maybe it helps OSU more, but they get a top of the line recruiting class just about every year anyway. I think it does help the rest of the conference as well. I wanted the big ten to go 7-1 in the bowl games. But i would never chant Big Ten if a other team won national title. It’s stupid. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 09:06 AM) But then they, you know, played two top 5 teams in two weeks and beat them both. Stop acting like this criticism is this year exclusively. Every year the SEC is guilty and you guys just figure it what it its guilty for this time. Well that has nothing to do with their schedule... And their schedule hadn’t always been soft comparatively. So not sure what you are getting at. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 9, 2018 -> 03:03 PM) It's amazing that no matter what happens each year, this forum will make sure to talk ad nauseum about how the SEC is overrated and schedules too soft. And SEC fans will pretend like they won a national title regardless of their team. Bama did have a soft schedule. Playing one less conference game is easier. Both of those are facts. -

Was there a game on? I was celebrating UCF's national title. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 8, 2018 -> 01:25 PM) 1) I don't believe that tweet for a second. I think it's completely made up. 2) This is a great read from a KC columnist on Nagy, with a much more believable story on the 2nd half: http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-colum...e193551879.html The bears did not hire Nagy before interviewing him on sunday, that's crazy. Of course its made up.

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Jan 5, 2018 -> 09:30 AM) It's been a lot more fun watching the team this year, I like the energy. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, but being 3-0 in the B1G is quite nice. I'm still not trying to think of them as a tournament team, but if they come close, those losses to Clemson and Butler with double digit leads are really going to sting. It’s just nice to see them well coached. They would have lost that game last year. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 3, 2018 -> 09:20 AM) How much do you pay with Comcast where you are not happy? I see so many people complain about them but I have never had a problem with them. Well one, and it was stupid but the rectified it swiftly. I looked into streaming stuff as well awhile back but fear I'd miss too much sports. DirecTV Now was intriguing as well. Directv keeps going up too. Its all about threatening them. My bill literally doubled overnight this last month. Every provider wants to get you and then milk you. They know its a pain to drill holes in your house.

Im just happy we didnt get the "just like football" chant. But I do like we were picked fr 11th in conference and we are definitely going to outperform that. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 2, 2018 -> 10:04 AM) The weird thing is how a relatively one dimensional team like Iowa could dominate Ohio State and Penn State for large stretches yet still lose to Purdue at home. Iowa has run the same exact offense (run on first and second down, jailbreak screen) for the entire Ferentz Era. I almost wish at this point he’d take his son and finally go back to the NFL. Then I remember what happened to Nebraska football...or Iowa basketball when Steve Alford was brought in to replace Dr. Tom Davis and lead them to a championship. Ugh. We’d even be happy to take back Oliver Martin! Every great Iowa athlete ends up playing for Michigan in football or Roy Williams in basketball, lol. Iowa has had some really good tight ends, but our last NFL running backs were Shonn Greene and Tavian Banks/Sedrick Shaw...and receivers, you have to go back to Tim Dwight and Danan Hughes. So jealous to watch all that offensive firepower on one team. Iowa broke all tendencies against OSU at home and completely blew up the defensive game plan. You cannot do that every game because then they become your actual tendencies. The coaching ability is clearly there, I just wonder how much its controlled by KF. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 1, 2018 -> 10:23 PM) Alabama's defense decided not to leave it up to the offense and put this one away themselves. Turns out it’s tough to score on Bama without Watson. -

Yeah Riley got too cute in OT and took the ball out of the hands of his best players. I’d have run the QB a couple of times at least to equate numbers. Too much bulls*** outside. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 1, 2018 -> 05:48 PM) Georgia's coaching staff being dominated. Why not call timeouts to give yourself time to answer and score? Kicking the long FG was laughably dumb. Michel and Chubb only having 8 combined carries is a joke with how easily they've ran the ball. The power run game is there but they gave up on it and now have to play catch up. A total clinic on how to lose a game. -
