  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 22, 2017 -> 11:00 PM) The BIg Sick was great. One of the greatest movie jokes of all time too. Let's see if we agree. Sept 11 joke?
  2. Why are there so many far right conspiracy theorists like Cernovich and Alex Jones? Is this a persona or are they really that crazy?
  3. Rats starting to leave the ship. What a disaster.
  4. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 03:39 PM) Oh, I hear ya, I'm not either. We were originally going the large SUV route, but the good ones are much more expensive than the minivans. The good news is that I won't be the one driving the minivan. Yeah they have jacked up the cost of the big SUV's, especially if you need an actual 3rd row. My wife's lease is up soon on her cherokee and we've been looking around and damn. Of course she wants a damn volvo SUV which arent cheap at all.
  5. Yeah the Big Sick was excellent. truly great writing.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) My favorite part of the feeds is Raven's toe magically getting better then she acts like it hurts later. Over and over. That pacemaker bulge in her stomach is crazy
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 12:23 PM) We have the entire hard wiring system and they were connected for a while. I get why they should be tied together, but when you get the false alarms and the entire house is beeping and you don't know which one it is, that sucks! I'll check out the first alert ones at Costco, we spend enough time there as it is. LOL, yeah I guess thats the downside there. Even my uber expensive frontpoint ones had a failure and it had to be replaced. I feel like they've all gotten so sensitive that they can fail easily.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 01:49 PM) The Big Sick > Lion > Get Out Although if you want tearjerkers, Hidden Figures has them all beat/en. Can't go wrong with any of those four films, depending on your mood. Lion had me in tears, I think its because i'm a father myself. Crying on the plane wasnt a good look.
  9. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 12:24 PM) We were looking at the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, but after reviewing Consumer Reports Auto Car Buying Guide, it looks like we now more focused on the Sienna. Due to our budget, we are kinda stuck looking at models between 2013 and 2015, probably with the LE trim. We considered other brands, but we like the reliability of Toyota/Honda. Ive heard people love both of those. I'm not a mini-van guy but I get the appeal.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 12:08 PM) My brother bought a Pacifica recently and really digs it. Its crazy. The auto-doors, cupholders of different sizes. Even the fact that the engine disconnects in a crash so it doesnt go into the passenger compartment. s***s crazy.
  11. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 12:03 PM) You guys talking about Audi's and Tesla's....well, I'll make you all drool... Going next week to buy a MINIVAN. Yea, top that one, suckers. (I'm so jealous of you guys and your cool cars) Which one? Mini-van shopping is like a different sport. I listened to sales guys getting trained on selling the Chrysler Caravan and the features are completely different but totally relevant.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 11:49 AM) Yeah, that's because they are working on 20 different makes of cars. I'm glad you got a great deal on it, but I've always tried to buy my used vehicles from a dealership of the same make...at least theoretically, they should have the best understanding of the vehicle as it comes to them and then preparing it again for sale. BTW, I soooo want to order a TT RS I agree, hate carmax or the big conglomerates. Thats a real odd problem though for an Audi.
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 09:01 AM) We're going to have big problems if we can't find five starters between the following 12 guys: Giolito Lopez Fulmer Kopech Adams Guerrero Stephens Hansen Dunning Flores Clarkin Cease And we may only need four starters depending on if they view Rodon as a long-term piece. Yeah, and I'm still worried. Seems 1-3 SP's are pretty hard to find.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 09:05 AM) What are the best brands of smoke/CO detectors? When we did our rebuild two years we got brand new Kidde monitors put all over the house and have already had two false alarms. Not just chirping cause of the batteries, but full on alarms, which are even more fun when a babysitter is there with the kids. I had to disconnect the hard wiring because then the whole house would be making noise and you had no idea which one it was. #1 consideration IMO is to make sure they are all tied together somehow. You need them to be able to alert you no matter where you are. I've been in a fire where the one smoke alarm was going off and it woke zero people up. #2 Do you want it as part of your security system, or want it internet accessible. If none of those are important, go to costsco and buy the first alert packs. Get them with CO2 monitors built it. I have mine as part of my front point alarm system, but then I also have a couple of networked ones tucked in other places. During my reno we are going to put in even more networked together.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 08:37 AM) Except we already likely have that asset in our own system. You only need so many starting pitchers. While his handedness is welcome, there isn't much else to like about him. I'm not convinced we have enough MLB caliber starters at all.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 08:33 AM) It's as if he is playing lawyer and trying to get off on technicalities. Intent has nothing to do with it. Pretty sure he's got the insanity plea to fall back on
  17. Going to see the big sick tonight Watched Get Out and Lion on my last flight. I'd only recommend Lion from those two. I was in tears
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 11:08 PM) Dominique I'm guessing? Yep. While she spoke nonsense in the bathroom, God spoke to her and helped her out in the game. What a moron.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 04:43 PM) The want to skip the CBO and have the HHS grade it next time. I'm sure Price will be fair and honest like he always is Thats like having John Paxon grade Gar Forman
  20. Speaking in tongues is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 01:37 PM) I think with relievers, it's best to sell high, even if they can get higher. Kahnle is a shoulder injury away from being worthless. But to your earlier point, the Sox have 3-4 potential superstars in the lineup, and that doesn't include the fact that they are going to have, at minimum, two top 5 picks coming up. Flipping relievers into good prospects is a great way to contribute to a rebuild.
  22. Forms of insurance you wont even know about? WTF
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 10:40 AM) For Avi, I'd want a guy our scouts really, really liked in the top 50 or so. Otherwise, I'd hold onto him and gamble a bit. I kind of agree. Fixing relievers and flipping them is a bit different than a position player that may or may not have figured it out. I think Avi is not quite at the peak of his value.
  24. $$$$$$ and we are going to have a s***load of it.
