QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 03:55 PM) Thanks guys!! Gave my notice today and officially accepted the offer. My boss is out on PTO so went to my boss' boss to tell him, and man what an awkward, terrible conversation. He was shocked by it - I literally told HR that I was looking externally 2 weeks ago and I knew backchannels had been made to inform them that I had turned down an offer just 3-4 months ago. He took a crap on the position I told him I would have - Not even a "good luck" or well wishes for my success. Just said he wouldn't hire anyone with my new title (which may be true, but only for people like him really). Tried to sell me on staying with additional "leadership" opportunities - which was essentially just signing me up for more work without actually leading people or anything. I didn't want to burn any bridges so kept my mouth shut and was just thankful for the opportunities they did give but I walked out of that meeting and completed the acceptance as soon as I could. I'm in disbelief with how badly that meeting went. None of what you said shocks me

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 09:19 AM) I swear, I play so much better when I haven't picked up a club in 6 months. It's when I'm playing frequently that all the stupid s*** happens. Yeah, when I've been hitting it good for awhile I then run into lazy habits like last week when I was pulling the club through the zone wide open. Hoping I can get my pro to straighten me out this week. -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 03:46 PM) this is how it gets to 50 votes: the party that whined so much about the "cornhusker kickback" that there were complaints about it in a SCOTUS dissent despite it not actually being in the final bill is going to openly buy off the last couple of votes they need in order to blow up 1/6 of our economy for wealthy tax cuts. Thats over 10 years, so basically tiny little drops in the bucket. Very tiny

I could use you Tex. I've been playing well and all of a sudden my round today I was spraying everything right and at times shanking. No idea where this slice came from. I've been playing draws all summer. I couldn't hit anything solid. -

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 02:37 PM) Anyone else worried about the defensive unit? Seems Hawks were struggling in that department last year and letting Hammer go we got thinner now. More moves coming? Oh they need to add. They know that. -
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 07:53 PM) Again, healthcare and profits for insurance companies are not the same thing. You can care for people, you can take control of healthcare without saying to insurance companies, "you can only have a 10% profit margin." Sure. It's a utopian view that is almost impossible. Making those companies who are having record profits go back to being a non profit service to the people is a huge obstacle. I just believe the for profit model for things like this seem to work out for the very fortunate only. And a large part of me feels it's wrong. I'm a social liberal and a fairly conservative person financially. But I do not think systematically keeping care from the poor is right. There has to be a better way than what we are doing. I've seen cancer treatments ruin families. That's something that should never happen. If you child gets sick and you are on the hook for millions, that's a pretty clear sign we aren't Doing this correctly. Imo.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 09:16 PM) These are not the same thing. Human rights are very different from insurance companies. Limiting how much profit a company makes is not in the same category as limiting human rights. That depends if you thinks its a human right to be cared for if you are ill. So they can be the same thing actually.
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 05:07 PM) Should lawyers be allowed to be as profitable as they are? How about Apple or IBM? It's not fair to limit one group just because one groups deems it unfair. Not sure Healthcare and human rights fit into the same category as computers. Lawyers do have non-profit and court appointed arms already.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 12:35 PM) How technical we talking here? Pretty technical. Be able to install and implement software and integrate with other platforms. Knowledge of virtual machines, security, databases, LDAP, federation etc. We train a lot but you need some knowledge

I am surprised more people don't agree with me on here, to be truthful about it. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/23...e-got-shot.html You see Hamilton yet?

At what point do we realize those companies should be serving the people instead of shareholders and profits?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) So when do we bring up how much better Kane was with Panarin? Deal is fine. Who cares. As long as Kane and Toews are on the roster we have a chance. Panarin without Kane should be scary for CBJ -
Should insurance/HC companies be allowed to be as profitable as they are? Should they be able to conduct themselves in such a way to make them a Fortune 100 company? Should pharma companies be able to charge whatever they want to increase profits on everyday medication? There are so many issues/other avenues to bring down costs for people outside of scrapping the ACA, but we cannot even think about doing that since our politicians are bought and paid for. And Washington is doing a great job having the people fight over a bill that was originally designed to help them, and now only serve as a distraction from the real issues that would help. It's sad.
-
QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 10:39 PM) Think bigger picture man! Get away from those talking-point statistics for a minute. Just try. Just try to play devil's advocate with yourself. Maybe even google "why the ACA hurts poor people". I've never done it but I bet you'll find some interesting points. The poor are poorer because of the ACA, and it's going to get way worse if something isn't done. It basically said, you will forever be poor. Is that really better than some bulls*** health insurance that a majority of doctors (The good ones) don't even want to accept? Not really. But its true the ACA could be so much better. And the correct thing to do for the people that voted these people into office would be to take on the rising costs and improve ACA to serve the people better. Instead we are going to make life harder on poor people, middle class people and people who are already sick. In return we are giving retroactive tax breaks to the rich and people who dont really need them. Thats what this bill is doing. Also most medical associations are against this bill, so not sure what doctors you are referring to.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 07:32 PM) For those that said we don't have shooting...we did add 2 3 point shooters (+ Dunn) as well as overall athleticism. I legitimately wonder what happens with Wade. For those who wanted it...Bulls picked a lane. Yes. One where they have the worst front office in basketball. -
