QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 05:16 PM) And apparently the party of business is ok with destroying the thousands of small businesses that opened up in recent years within the legalized states. Decline in crime, court cases, arrests but an increase in tax revenue. Oh the HORROR
-
We are in NBA purgatory. There is no way out
-
Obviously thats one I am referring to for sure. That should be left to the states, and frankly everyone should be happy about that tax revenue. Unless we are SOOOO concerned about people's health and in that case we should ban Bannon's best friend, alcohol.

Arent republicans more for state's rights? I dont get it. Why attack those with blanket decrees and laws?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:34 PM) This is way over simplified. To me there is an obvious difference in player development abilities when you look around the NBA. What is it that the Spurs are able to do with guys drafted at the end of the first round, that a team like the Kings can't do with lottery pick after lottery pick? Thibs is another one who took some guys who had no business being good NBA players and turning them into one. Look at Jimmy Butler. Look at Taj. A lot of that is the system as well though.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:14 PM) So, let's go ahead and take a look at what we dealt for Doug McDermott Jusuf Nurkic, a 22 year old, high-upside center now starting for the Trail Blazers Gary Harris, the 23 year old, starting 2-guard for the up-and-coming Denver Nuggets Oh, but we also added a 2nd rounder and Taj Gibson to dump this guy. F*ck off, GarPax. Can't wait to hear about how Payne is the future. Jesus

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 01:51 PM) The Bulls throwing in the pick and not OKC makes it even more laughable. I dont get that at all. I really hope everyone in the front office gets cleaned out
-
Taj was a real real good pick by this org.

Tickets for tonights game are pretty cheap, wonder why. Is everyone sick like me?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 11:33 AM) Butler is one of the ultimate defenders in basketball. He will take that team to another level on the D end of the floor. Its really a no brainer. Butler is superior.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 09:41 AM) Is there any school around that gets less talent from an area with so much of a talent base? How can they never convince anyone to stay in Chicago? I think having the arena where it was definitely was a negative impact. Having the athletic facilities so far away as well as not having nearly as nice ones as other schools do is part of the reason. If you took a visit and Depaul was by FAR the worst facility you see, you cut them off your list right away. They arent even in the same neighborhood as even mid tier big ten schools. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 09:19 AM) There was a guy at the rally that went on CNN and said he has a life sized cardboard cut out of Donald Trump and he salutes it everyday and prays to it or something. It was funny and also terrifying at the same time. It's guys like that that pose more of a threat to Americans than the Muslim's they are trying to wall off.

I'm fairly convinced that CBJ and MIN are fools gold.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 21, 2017 -> 04:56 PM) on the flip side, the Bernie or Bust-ers are louder than ever at these rallies and protests... so who knows, there could be the same split on both sides, rendering the other moot. I dont get that impression. There is a common enemy here, which there really wasnt before.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 21, 2017 -> 04:51 PM) It looks to me, looking at approval ratings and seeing how people behave, that it is wedging the GOP voters. A smallish percentage of the moderates are going away from Trump, but that base (which is the bigger group) is just hunkering down and getting more hardened to Trump. That doesn't bode well for Trump's future or the GOP in 2018, but it also doesn't bode well for the discourse in the next few years for all of us. I think there is a pretty large sense of buyer's remorse from the "anyone but Hillary" crowd that voted for this disaster. His base is always going to be his base as long as he is being led by white nationalists

Its not his work ethic, its the fact he cannot recognize the difference between pitches.

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Feb 19, 2017 -> 01:19 AM) Are you guys talking running in the open world? I assume that must be harder than on an elliptical, because after 7 years and being quite out of shape, I did a little over 2 miles in 17 minutes. Probably could have reached the 3rd mile by minute 26 or so. I doubt I'm somehow a skilled runner, just going to assume elliptical is easier. Nah, I havent timed that yet. I'm on a treadmill with 1-3% of incline

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 10:59 PM) Do you seriously think I'm getting paid to go to the dozen or so rallies I've attended? Like, seriously? Whatever the Fuhrer says is true.

So I've been told the board at OSU has determined Thad has built up enough credibility that they are gonna allow him to rebuild the program after his horrendous classes the last few years. I agree. But I'm sure many don't. -
They didn't play awful but couldn't score.
-
Love him as a person and donor. But not as a player.

Been awhile since Crow gave up a goal that soft

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 18, 2017 -> 06:37 AM) Micah must be great in 7 on 7s because he has hands of stone and gator arms in real games. Yeah those aren't good traits. Taco was said to look like Tarzan but play like Jane. But all it took was a legit d coach and he blew up. Dominant player. -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 18, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) I'm at about 32 mins. I haven't run in a while so I feel pretty good about it myself. That's fantastic congrats. Seeing improvement is worth the pain. I used to run at 4.5 mph and now I'm easily doing 8.

This week I ran both 3 miles in 24 min and a 7:30 mile. Couldn't be happier.
