Ramirez wants to change Sox October 8, 2005 BOSTON -- If seeing high-priced Manny Ramirez in a White Sox uniform next season sounds far-fetched, consider that the Boston Red Sox outfielder has said he would like it to happen. According to a source, Ramirez told multiple White Sox players earlier this season that he wanted to play on the South Side and suit up for manager Ozzie Guillen. Seeing the White Sox jump out to a 2-0 lead over the Red Sox in the American League Division Series this week might have inspired Ramirez into action to make a White Sox deal a reality. A report Thursday said Ramirez had fired his agent and is seeking a replacement, possibly with the intent of having his new representation work a trade out of Boston. Landing the volatile outfielder seems unlikely, though, and not only because of his price tag. Ramirez is due to make $57 million over the next three seasons and has $20 million team options for 2009 and 2010. Earlier this season, after Ramirez told Sports Illustrated that he preferred a trade from the Red Sox, members of White Sox management said Ramirez's baggage was capable of damaging team chemistry. Ramirez is the kind of high-profile, large-ego player whom general manager Ken Williams avoided when putting together this season's roster. One definite snag in Ramirez's plans to change his Sox is that a report on FoxSports.com said he might be seeking Scott Boras as his new agent. This past offseason, the Sox eliminated Boras clients from their list of potential free-agent pitching acquisitions. I know I am, the Sox need our support, they need to get off their knees they're blowing this lead. We can still win this, I like looking at the glass half full. We still have a 3 1/2 game lead, if someone told me this past winter the sox would blow their lead and be leading STILL by 3 1/2 I would have been unbelievably happy.

Guys, it's nothing to make fun of, I'm asking people for their opinions what were Braves fans saying about Jeff Francouer, well, the same thing you guys are doing to these players. So, if someone throws an idea out and you bash it, it brings a certain negativity to this site, and will draw people away.

Bears acquire Pro Bowl alternate from Dolphins By Larry Mayer August 29, 2005 LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Making a trade for the second straight day, the Bears on Monday dealt tight end John Owens to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, a Pro Bowl alternate on special teams last season. Linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo led the Miami Dolphins in special teams tackles each of the past two seasons. The trade is contingent on both players passing their physicals. Ayanbadejo led Miami in special teams tackles with 19 in 2003 and 23 in 2004 while playing in all 16 games each season. After playing primarily on special teams in 2003, the 6-1, 228-pounder started two games at linebacker last season and totaled 20 tackles and one interception. Ayanbadejo signed with Miami as a free agent in 2003 after originally entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 1999. The UCLA product was waived by Atlanta on Aug. 23, 1999 and played for three teams in the Canadian Football League from 2000-02. Owens played in two games with the Bears last season after he was claimed off waivers from the Detroit Lions last Oct. 24. The 6-3, 255-pounder appeared in 22 games for Detroit after joining the Lions as a fifth-round draft pick in 2002. On Sunday, the Bears traded defensive end Alain Kashama to the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional draft pick.

That's not a valid statement because, who in their right mind ( who is a good business man) wouldn't want to sell the team plus a 50 million dollar contract?
