  1. I didn't watch a second of the game last night. So their "elite 3B" didn't have his head in the game. Par for the course.
  2. They probably could have had him for Eloy.
  3. I don't see how Yoan has anything to do with the issue of whether or not they should have traded Jake Burger.
  4. But Hahn said they traded him because right handed power hitting is a position of strength of this team.
  5. Jake was my favorite player on this team (didn't say he was the best player, that's obviously Robert). The guy could hit the ball harder than anyone, had a great attitude, played any position he was asked and improved as he played more, and was generally a like-able guy. I hope he goes on a tear and leads the Marlins to the playoffs this season, and has a successful career. I'll be cheering him on.
  6. A++ Hahn was able to restock the farm with prospects while keeping his championship core of Moncada, Anderson, Eloy and Kopech intact.
  7. Wow! Look at all that RH Power in that lineup! How can they lose?
  8. RH power is a position of strength for the Sox?? LOL! A big portion of what little power the Sox have had this season was from Jake Burger. The Sox lineup is starved for power.
  9. Eloy is more expensive, always getting injured, is a lousy outfielder and is a DH who whines that he doesn't like to DH. You can have him. I'll take Jake Burger who can play 3b, 2b, 1b at least as well as Eloy plays OF, and can DH without whining about it.
  10. He was the most likeable guy on the Sox. I don't have much interest even watching these guys play anymore this year, except maybe to laugh at them.
  11. I hope he goes on a hot streak and carries the Marlins to the playoffs. White Sox aren't even worth watching for the rest of the season.
  12. If that rumor is true then Hahn is worse that we thought.
  13. Good for him getting away from this joke of an organization. Too bad nobody wants Moncada or Anderson.
  14. Great memories. I remember watching that day game at Minnesota in '72 on TV, and I was at that doubleheader in '77. Two of my favorite years as a White Sox fan. Thanks, Lip, for always sharing these "Day in Sox History" posts. It's fun to remember the pre-Einhorn/Reinsdorf days.
  15. What a core. If they still consider Anderson and Eloy part of their core they are never going to win anything.
  16. Yes. I couldn't get on at all before. Now I can only get on with my phone but I have to turn the wifi off. EDIT: Looks like it's working with my wifi now.
