  1. White Sox lineup is still one big bat short if you ask me.
  2. I like Benintendi but he's not a RFer. He's a LF/CFer. I'd be happy if the Sox got Benintendi, but they should play him in LF with Jimenez at DH (which they won't do).
  3. Collins for Price and Benintendi and the Red Sox pay the final year of Price's contract minus league minimum. Take it or leave it.
  4. Should have been last offseason. Didn't Hahn even say last year was the offseason they were targeting for the past several years? The plan should have been to augment the new young core with a couple of proven stars. Instead we suffered through the rebuild only to augment the core with change of scene candidates (Mazara) and washed up vets .
  5. Scott Boras. EDIT: Ooops, my bad. I thought I read last night that he was a client of Boras. Apparently I was misinformed.
  6. White Sox do not value defense much. It's hard to imagine them ever winning a World Series with a defense of Anderson at SS, Abreu at 1B Eloy in LF and Mazara in RF.
  7. We suffered through this rebuild to build a young core which we thought would be supplemented with some bona fide proven quality players when we were ready to compete. Instead, we supplement the core by filling our biggest positional hole with a 1 WAR player? Looks like we're right back where we started.
  8. It's expected that a third Catcher, Zach Collins will be the extra man.
  9. If the Sox were to acquire Benintendi, would he play RF? I don't know if he's even played RF much, if at all. Or does he play CF with Robert in RF?
  10. I was kind of hoping somehow the Sox would sign him to improve the defense at SS and either move Timmy to RF or trade him for a TOR pitcher. Oh well.
  11. Can the Sox trade Vaughn yet? I always thought a team had to wait one year after drafting a prospect before they can trade him.
  12. Could go either way, but I take it as the Sox coveting a starting pitcher are looking to trade for one. Like his other tweet, "Not able to speak to any specific targets but the quality of players the Sox have on the table speaks to the potential return," I don't take it to necessarily mean that the Sox have one of their top prospects on the table. All he says is that the potential return is proportional to the quality of the players you give in exchange. Nothing earth shattering about that! He doesn't speak to the quality of players the Sox are offering one way or the other.
  13. He probably just means the Sox covet a starting pitcher. The position of SP is what he's describing as being coveted, not necessarily a player who is coveted by the league in general.
  14. Maybe their interest in Ozuna is as a replacement for Eloy if they trade him for a young stud pitcher.
  15. How did that work out for the '77 South Side Hit Men? Lots of fun, but in the end no cigar.
  16. If the Sox signed Rendon and then somehow traded Moncada for both a great RF and great SP, I would definitely go nuts - in a good way.
