  1. There needs to be some major changes made before the beginning of the four game series with the Twins tomorrow. Bring up Viciedo for sure. Make a trade, fire a coach or two, shuffle around the player's roles. Get Dunn the hell out of the three spot. DO something NOW or this season is over. And stop slobbering all over the Twins! Kick their asses for once!!!
  2. QUOTE (onedude @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:37 PM) I dunno if he sees himself being one in the future, but I think he would make a really good manager. He'd make a good manager, but if he doesn't want to go that direction, I think he would also be great in the broadcast booth. He comes across very well in interviews and he certainly knows baseball as well as anyone.
  3. I hope Teahen hits one of those opposite field HRs right about now.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 4, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) There was a regular Saturday night fireworks game about this time of year several years ago where Buehrle had it done in less than 2 hours. They started the fireworks show while it was light out. In fact it still was light when the show was over. Vendors do not like Mark Buehrle. I was at that game.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 4, 2011 -> 03:17 PM) Ozzie's the f***ing manayer, he make out the f***ing line up.,if you don't like how he make out the line up go root for another f***ing team, motherf***er. Go piss on a statue!
  6. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 4, 2011 -> 02:52 PM) Why the hell is Dunn in the lineup batting 3rd against a LHP?! 'Cause Ozzie makes out the lineup.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) And the fact that Dayan is apparently NOT AWFUL IN THE OF. Quite frankly, you could probably use both of them. De Aza Morel Quentin Konerko Dayan AJ Alexei Beckham Pierre Pierre would DH. At least he looks to have some semblance of thought, unlike Rios. I like it.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) I agree totally. It really won't take much to win this division. Replace Dunn and Rios with Viciedo and De Aza and it's a done deal.
  9. Ozzie better not be batting Dunn third against division opponents.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 10:16 AM) Mark Gonzales is by far a better writer, and easily the best baseball beat writer in Chicago. Amen to that!
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 09:57 AM) This is the day Adam Dunn does something. Like get hurt and go on the DL?
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:42 AM) F*** the cubs
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 02:31 PM) RF in Wrigley is a tough RF to play. I know. Having Dunn out there just makes it tougher.
  14. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 12:13 PM) Pierre lf, morel 3b, Dunn rf, PK 1b, AJ c, ramirez ss, Rios cf, beckham 2b, humber p (mis)Adventures in RF today.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:04 AM) f*** the Cubs
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) Dunn batting third today and will remain doing so vs RHP. Whaaaaaatttttt????? Dunn doesn't belong batting third even if he's hitting his career norms. I'm sorry, but you just don't bat a .250-.260 hitter third just because he has power. When Dunn is right he's the kind of guy you want batting fifth to give your cleanup hitter, Paulie, some good protection.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 03:12 PM) How many teams with a struggling offense would keep their top prospect in the minors who is raking? One.
  18. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) pierre7, omar6, q9, pk3, dunnDH, rios8, aj2, teahen5, beck4, humber 1 I don't like the fact that Dunn is batting fifth.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 12:26 AM) More likely Teahen will be starting over Morel or, heaven forbid, at 2B for Beckham. Well with Ozzie, you're probably right.
  20. Maybe Teahen earned a start over Pierre in Ozzie's eyes tonight, but I doubt it. I would platoon Lillibridge with Teahen in LF until Viciedo is called up next month.
  21. Another nice game by AJ. I disagreed with Ozzie calling for the intentional walk to Werth in the 14th. Dunn is showing some signs of life, but I'm not going to get excited about it just yet until he puts a string of good games together and blasts a few HRs. Tough loss, especially as we had a golden opportunity to gain ground against the entire division tonight.
  22. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 04:53 PM) One of these days when we all least expect it Dunn is just going to crank three homers in a game. Let's hope it's tonight!
