  1. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) Paulie needs a day off. I agree. FWIW, A.J. said he has a feeling Paulie is going to have a great series in KC. I hope he's right and we're wrong!
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:48 PM) What a terrible f***ing day of baseball. Cards failed to get the runner from 3rd in with no outs in the 9th, and then Rolen doesn't guard the line to prevent a double. I've got two words for you: Albert Pujols.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) Oh BTW water is pink, the sky is orange and Ozzie loves Brian. You almost had me after the first two, but after the third one I knew you were bulls***ting.
  4. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) His usuall stuff. "It was a ballgame, that's all" "you can't win them all" "Logan lossing the game was a good thing because it could have caused more relievers to be used" Anybody saying anything about why Thornton wasn't used today?
  5. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) On the other hand, the Tigers don't look that good to me. I think we should beat them out this year: we have a better lineup (and hopefully we get our heads out of our asses and start showing it), a better bullpen, and comparable starting pitching. Cleveland scares the crap out of me when we play them, but they don't do as well against the rest of the league as they do against us. I don't know about having a better lineup. I agree with the rest of your post.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) Don't worry, he'll be back here as soon as he's a FA. Too late to help us win this year.
  7. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) I had to shut off PFB before I threw my radio out the window, with my computer following. What has he been saying today?
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) After the first swing by Thames, he should have not seen another fastball. Thames has been hitting like s***, and Aardsma just missed his spot with that pitch. Look at where A.J. set up and where the pitch was thrown.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 11:07 AM) I notice a lot of scenarios that have been discussed by KW/Ozzie in the last week that imply Anderson will be heading back down once Pods gets back. Then Mack will be the backup CF again. Wonderful.
  10. It would have been more interesting if it were A.J. tagging from third on that play.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:50 PM) Is that like "The Donald"? Yes. He's not just any KW, he's the KW.
  12. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:48 PM) Hey, Brandon McCarthy got knocked out of his start in Oakland in the 2nd inning...LOL. A lot of the experts here went ballistic when the KW made that trade.
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:41 PM) Konerko better get his head out of his ass and hit the ball. None of this homer crap, just line drive simple swing. I wouldn't mind some "homer crap" here. Just don't give me any double play crap, pop up crap, or strike out crap!
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 08:19 PM) Mendoza Konerko's stats at the end of 2007: .234 .305 18hr 65 RBI Heavy sigh.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 08:02 PM) Got home just in time to see Mackowiak miss a catchable fly ball. Not quite sure why Vazquez started that inning. Oh well, maybe we can hit one more homer. Why not?
  16. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) Mcdooogal is very unimpressive Seems alright to me.
  17. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 07:46 PM) can anybody catch the ball in LF? Erstad or Anderson.
  18. I guess there will be no whining about A.J.'s pitch calling here tonight. Congrats to Mark, A.J., and the Sox' offense! Now let's get on a roll!
  19. Nice pitching by Mark, Nice game calling by A.J., and the offense came alive!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:34 PM) 2 of the stooges are seriously killing this team right now too. Crede is in one of the biggest slumps of his life at the plate, everything is a weak popout with him and his defense has been incredibly bad as well. AJ is calling some of the worst pitches I've ever seen like that fastball to Sosa on an 0-2 count, WTF? AJ seriously needs to work a count, he's swinging at the first or second pitch in every AB and flying out the LF or RF. I'd say the stooges are one of the bigger problems this team has right now. A.J. was two for three tonight. Sure he called for a fastball when a slider may have been a better choice, but he didn't want Mac to throw it right down the middle. He set up on the outer third of the plate and probably expected the ball to tail away.
