  1. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:59 PM) Kinsler is good. That is all. Can someone tell me what Ozzie said right at the end of his press conference? It sure sounded like he said "Sammy better be ready because he will get hit." I'm pretty sure I must have misunderstood him, but it sure sounded like that's what he said.
  2. The Sox are playing like s***, but some of you people here are ridiculous with your comments. Some of you deserve what's happening to your "favorite" team.
  3. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:13 PM) I agree that MacDougal is the best we've got. Which is exactly why he shouldn't be out there tonight. Sosa takes him deep. Nice.
  4. QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) Instead of soxtalk this place should be called B.i.t.c.h. B.i.t.c.h. Moan Moan Or SoxWhine.com B)
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) Rowand/Erstad/Dye Erstad Rowand Thome Konerko Dye Crede Iguchi Pierzynski Uribe How does that grab ya? Fine. I'd probably put Rowand in CF and Erstad in LF, and flip Iguchi and Rowand in the order, but Ozzie would probably do it the opposite.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 04:00 PM) I have a frightening thought for you. Its halloween scary. What if Boone is up to show he can get major leaguers out, to tempt the Phillies to send over Ozzies favorite grinder. They need bullpen pitching, like they are digging off the scrap heap right now. Since it appears Ozzie is unwilling to put Anderson in a position to succeed here anyway, reacquiring Rowand would be a good move by KW. He's the only one Ozzie would allow to even get close to CF in place of Erstad anyway.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) Ugh, ...Pie is a bust. He's playing pretty well for a "bust" today.
  8. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 05:52 PM) But Erstad is such a GRINDER. Sorry, I just thought this thread needed that He'd fit well in that eighth hole.
  9. That whole Sox winter ball in Venezuela episode was a fiasco last winter. Razor Shines was fired, the rest of the Sox players walked off the team and Anderson along with I think at least one other player got seriously ill. The Sox should stay away from playing down there anyway. Don't they have winter ball in Puerto Rico or Mexico?
  10. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 07:37 PM) I don't care what they do with him, I'm just real tired of seeing his name at this point. He's the new Brandon McCarthy. I agree. It's apparent Anderson and Ozzie can't coexist. Get rid of one or the other, or both for all I care. I'm just sick of the whole Ozzie/Anderson soap opera. It's not good for the Sox or Anderson.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) Ugh, Pinella is horrific and Pie is a bust. So it would be a fair trade then. Frankly, I'm sick of the Ozzie/Anderson soap opera.
  12. Erstad should be batting eighth, not sixth. Go Pods, Iguchi, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, Crede, Erstad, Uribe. But Ozzie won't.
  13. Trade Ozzie and Anderson to the Cubs for Piniella and Pie.
  14. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 09:36 PM) It sure felt like 2-4 though... You got that right!
  15. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) From new article on whitesox.com With these struggles in mind, Guillen was contemplating a few lineup changes for Tuesday's series opener at home against Texas, after Sunday's loss left the White Sox with a 2-4 record on this six-game road trip. I could have sworn the Sox were 3-3 on this road trip.
  16. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 02:16 PM) I wouldn't mind that at all. I was looking at Jay Payton, too. Maybe Brady Clark, although he was just traded to the Dodgers. I agree.
  17. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:48 PM) Greg Walker = fired (hopefully) Was Eduardo Perez signed by anybody? If not, we should sign him up, trade Mack for a right-handed hitting OF who can play center, and send Anderson down so he's not rotting on the bench. Aaron Rowand?
  18. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 10:43 AM) Starting lineups: Castillo, 2B; Punto, 3B; Mauer, C; Cuddyer, RF; Morneau, 1B; Hunter, CF; Redmond, DH; Tyner, LF; Bartlett, SS. Santana pitching. Ozuna, LF; Erstad, CF; Konerko, 1B; Thome, DH; Dye, RF; Crede, 3B; AJ, C; Iguchi, 2B; Uribe, SS. Danks making his ML debut. Basically what I expected. Pretty good lineup to throw in there against Santana, although I would have flipped Dye and Paulie.
  19. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) Game only would have been better if Pods took out Mauer at home. I'm just happy the umpire called him safe. That play did turn the whole game around. Pods was picked off second but luckily the pitcher threw the ball into CF. Then, he was called safe at home on a very close play in which he may not have touched the plate. Let's hope things continue to go the Sox' way from now on!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 08:50 PM) If they have no place to play Baldelli then why the hell would they want another outfielder in Anderson? I don't know what it would cost the Sox to get him, or whether or not that cost would be worth it. But I sure would love to have Baldelli on the Sox roster in place of Podsednik.
