Vaughn is one of the Sox best hitters. I hope in the future he can play mostly 1B and DH some to maximize his value. The Sox need bona fide major league outfielders to play outfield. -

It's July 15th and we're still waiting. Jake Burger does drive the ball hard. When his hand bruise is healed maybe start him at 3B and pull him for defense in the later innings.

That's the thing. You would think a team comprised of so many 1B/DH types would suck on defense but would be mashing at the plate, just like the '77 South Side Hitmen. But this team sorely lacks power.

They need Burger back. They can always pull him for defense late in games.

Hopefully it's not that bad. Maybe it only affects him when he's exerting himself while running but not when he's standing in the box? I don't know...
