  1. There aren't very many likeable players on this team.
  2. Anytime Tim wants to pull his head out of his ass is fine with me.
  3. I was just thinking back when they were talking about contracting the Twins, what if instead they contracted the White Sox franchise, then moved the Twins team to Chicago and renamed them the White Sox. Kind of a repeat of history. The Twins organization combined with the budget they would have from playing in major market Chicago with the favorable stadium lease would have probably made them a perennial legit contender. Sigh, what might have been.
  4. Maybe, but it wouldn't surprise me if one of Anderson, Vaughn, Robert, Eloy, or Moncada gets injured again by the end of the game.
  5. I'm about at the point of play him in LF every day and let Vaughn and Abreu split time at 1B/DH. If he produces that's great. If he hurts himself again, who cares anymore.
  6. But they put him in at 2B last night. And he did PH the other night. So why were they even putting him in if it got worse? I guess it's possible it got worse overnight but I doubt it. Looks more like he's been hurt for three weeks but they decided to keep him around until Eloy was ready instead of bringing up someone else in the meantime.
  7. True, but Jake needs to be playing. He needs ABs and he needs to improve his defense playing 3B. He's not going to improve by sitting on the bench. And if the reason he's on the IL is because he really needs the time off for the hand to heal, then he should have been put on the IL three weeks ago and someone brought up who is healthy enough to contribute rather than playing one man short.
  8. Point is that if his bruised hand is enough to put him on the IL today, then it was enough to put him on the IL three weeks ago. The Sox have been doing shit like this all season long.
  9. Burger put on the 10 day IL for a bone bruise in his right hand - a bruise he sustained THREE WEEKS AGO when he was hit by a pitch. What a joke of an organization. They intentionally played with one man short for the past three weeks.
  10. Burger got hit with that pitch like three weeks ago and hasn't played much since so apparently the Sox chose to play one man short for the past three weeks rather than putting him on the IL and calling up a replacement. This organization is pure shit.
  11. It's the most unlikeable team with the least amount of likeable players, that's for sure. And a very unlikeable manager.
  12. At least the bottom of the order can hit a little.
  13. Welp, this is probably the nail in their coffin.
  14. Just wait until the weather heats up at GR Field.
  15. Not necessarily. Probably base running would be the most likely place for most players but everybody's different. Some players may take too many strikes because they don't give a shit, while others may just go hacking at everything. Not hustling to first base would be an indicator but it's hard to tell when the manager tells the whole team not to hustle.
  16. Harrison is better there, plus he's been hitting lately.
  17. If that's indeed the case (not sure if it is), then they should ask him to go down and straighten himself out. If he refuses, he can figure things out while he watches from the bench and gets his chances as a late inning defensive replacement for Burger.
  18. He's still a very good defensive 3B, but not good enough to overcome his terrible offensive production, his low baseball IQ and his apparent not give a shit attitude. I don't know why he's supposedly too good to work on straightening himself out in AAA like most other players have to do at times.
  19. Maybe he has been on waivers and nobody wants him.
  20. He should be. He's too valuable to just sit on the bench He needs to be getting ABs every day, preferably while playing 3B to work on his defense.
