Maybe some of the old timers here can confirm or correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember the Sox games starting around 8:00pm back in the '60s when I was a little kid. Am I remembering wrong?
The Sox should've figured out what would provide better defense: Moncada at 3B and Burger at 2B, or Burger at 3B with Moncada at 2B and just rolled with that instead of wasting money and roster spot on 35 year old Josh Harrison.
If they think Burger can play decent 3B and give them more power why not get an absolute haul for Moncada if they can to improve the team as a whole? If they're not going to spend big bucks to improve via free agency then they must improve via trade. I'd rather trade Moncada for a haul than someone like Burger for a one year rental.
I hope so but I doubt it. I would have been happy if the Sox got him no matter which side he hits from. At least he can field well and probably knows how to play baseball.
Nope. I didn't say I expect the Sox to get Bryant. I just said that I want them to get Bryant. I want the Sox to win the World Series too. I don't expect them to win it either.
I want Bryant. Even though he's right-handed, he's a good hitter and would give us versatility to cover for any possible lost time by Moncada, any of our outfielders or Abreu.
