  1. Kids both graduated high school, one graduated college. No more chasing them all over the country for sporting events. I can go to more Sox games, that's all that matters.
  2. Imagine how it would be if they expanded the rosters like they normally did, instead of adding only a couple of players this year. These numbers would have jumped dramatically.
  3. I think they are trying to protect Fields as well but more for the future. Fields has looked very indecisive and they know he will get smothered consistently behind the current offensive line. All of which could lead to bad habits, if not injury. Dalton will get the ball out much faster. The whole process should be about what is best for Fields' development. Sitting back there and getting hit consistently is not the best. I know I'm old but I like what Rivera said in Washington, "we will get the team ready to support the QB first." Paraphrasing, of course.
  4. Just that isn't related to HIPPA. However, the reporter saying that the QB decision isn't scheme related could easily have gone down that path if Nagy hadn't cut him off. This is where the awkwardness came from. If the reporter had just it go, it wouldn't have gone there.
  5. You really need to find some other happiness in life if you take it this seriously.
  6. They still celebrate. Those who can walk the straightest line play in game 2.
  7. I would say it is scheme in that situation. The scheme for Dalton should be very different than for Fields. Of course with Nagy you never know. the same ideas apply to the questions about personnel though. The reporters don't need to know that information. As a matter of fact it could be a HIPPA violation except for the information required to be sent to the league.
  8. Hence the reason why the regular season is not a good predictor of what happens in the postseason. Playing a best of 5 is totally different than playing a best of 162. Also why baseball is much more random for champions than most other sports. They can just to justify it in any way but its who gets hot in the playoffs for whatever reason. Having as healthy of a team as possible and let it fly.
  9. I usually take 31st for the A lot. Looks like I'll need to find a different route.
  10. I hope they don't play that one then and I get some kind of refund as I don't think they will reach the 92 for me to win. ?
  11. Usually. If it was just statement and no questions then, no. The other day he was asked a question about it and got into a back and forth with a reporter who kept trying to get more information about it, Even about whether it was about scheme as to release more information.
  12. Because they are badgered with questions from reporters that won't allow for simple answers.

    2020 Workout Thread

The gluteus maximus is by far the most important skeletal muscle (striated cardiac muscle not withstanding) in the body. It is the only significant muscle the connects the legs (your base) to your spine (your center and control). It controls how everything works together.
  14. I don't think any team has a goal of losing in the first round of the playoffs. However, it's been a good season with all of the adversity of injuries and minimal season last year. It just so happens they will play good teams in the playoffs and one of the teams has to lose. It's been a good season, let's see if it can be great. Not winning the Wrold Series doesn't make it a failure.
  15. I do think it is possible depending on the innings to finish the season and the playoffs. The last 2 years of conditioning and not needing to take the time off from pitching a partial season last year puts him in a unique position. I could see his season next being like the starters this year with breaks at the end of the season going into the playoffs. I could see 160-180 next year.
  16. They would not have used that plan as even half a season of starting games would be far more than he was ready for.
  17. With his innings limit Kopech would have been done a long time ago. He probably only has about 20 innings left.
  18. I need 92. Took the over on 91.5 before the season.
  19. It is in the bottom third for hitting HRs for a reason. It's tough to hit them there. Roughly only 2/3 as many as Sox Park (yes, I still call it that)
  20. It is. Doesn't mean it's not distracting him though.
  21. To each his own, I like it when they don't score.
  22. Something else on his mind maybe? Remember how he struggled the season a person close to him (brother, cousin, friend I forget) died.
