  1. Wow, that seems somewhat weird to exclude drafted players from the All-State announcement. Not sure if it good because it recognizes the non-drafted kids or if its bad because the drafted kids don't get recognized.
  2. I would not sign Rodon to a long term deal. With his history and workload this year, I would need to see how he recovers next year.
  3. How does max prep and perfect game make him the #1 prospect in Indiana and MLB pipeline have him as #48 prospect in the draft? Is it because he is from a small school and the coaches didn't see him enough?
  4. So how they get to the WAR is the key? Just like how they get a win is more important than actually winning the game?
  5. But he doesn't hit for power.
  6. Everyone was down in innings with the shortened season. Rodon needs the most skipped but they should do some for everyone to keep them more fresh for the post-season.
  7. The key variable they have that no one else does is where his strength is. The healing and surgery are generalizable. How quickly he is gaining strength isn't.
  8. Exactly. We use the available information (never the full picture from the teams) then use common healing, rehab principles and experience with same or similar injuries ( we haven't examined the athletes but again use available information) to make an educated guess as to the prognosis. By no means is it set it stone but more for education and general timeframes. That article is from a group that has a algorithm for injuries based on various medical staffs for fantasy sports. they seem to have sources with teams and have additional information we may not have. Although there system always seems to have most significant injuries between 6-8 weeks. Shocking.
  9. Thanks. I knew all athletes were all granted another year. I just wasn't sure if that was the only reason.
  10. Odd question, but how are these JC guys coming out of JC at 21 and have 3 years at at JC? Is it because of the lost year for COVID or is this normal?
  11. My favorite is still the Bears linebacker Michael Stonebreaker.
  12. Hate to be cynical but I wonder what the union position the union has on these topics. Probably more negotiating ploys.
  13. 11 pitchers and 3 position players, 2 of which are HS. Guess they like they're young position players at the MLB.
  14. There were many more who had it. a sample of 2 is not really telling.
  15. I still think plan is to try to stretch him out to be a starter in 2023. Whether he can physically handle it or not is anyone's guess.
  16. I would somewhat disagree. 5-6 months is feasible but on the very conservative side. The tendon should be healed at 3 months. As long as he has full range, I don't see an issue with the swing as that muscle is a not primary muscle. It does need at least decent strength though.
  17. Very intrigued by this one. Like the motion, the ranking and the descriptions.
  18. Heard it, didn't know the origin.
  19. Not a fan of the heel strike with the plant foot. Robs his body of a great deal of momentum transfer and adds extra stress to the low back and shoulder. Shorten the stride a bit and it will help tremendously. Edit: Thought you were talking about McDougal.
  20. Is he enough of an underslot for Kath?
  21. Guilty, I bow down and repent.
  22. The MLB way of 10 lowest revenue and 10 smallest markets isn't bad but it seems to be missing some factors.
