  1. That is standard protocol. Always try conservative treatment first. While we are getting good good at surgeries. They still aren't 100%. Plus there is always that very small chance if complications from the surgery itself.
  2. Yes, in general they did pitch more in the minors and did find out who could tolerate the workload. There were also fewer teams so fewer pitchers were needed. Many pitchers today would not make teams just because of the numbers.
  3. It appears so. Hopefully, they shut it down in time and it is just the muscle strain.
  4. I just don't have the energy to hate a person this much. I guess I'm too old.
  5. Last I checked most are fairly happy with the pitching coaches and program.
  6. Yes, the owner is responsible for the elbow issue.
  7. Ok. I didn't look just hypothesizing.
  8. Not from the latest research. The latest shows higher velo or throwing at max velo for longer. The change up is just the fastball motion with a different grip. The forkball needed to be really over the top and a "pull " down to get the rolling effect.
  9. Sometimes they come back throwing with more velo after UCL reconstruction. If it happens maybe it will be the case here. Haven't checked his velo at the MLB level. Was he trying to add velo in the MLB, I wonder.
  10. It appears that relievers were the belle of the ball at this deadline.
  11. C, Ok trade for fedde. Dejong meh.
  12. Too true. But they know more about the players than I do so i them handle it.
  13. You can't develop them in the minors? If they didn't think they were ready for the MLB, they would be hurting their development.
  14. They could shut hom down from games and do side sessions.
  15. That's a new one. Although he is coming off an injury and hasnt looked particularly sharp so they are probably just protecting him.
  16. Not if they didn't think they were ready.
  17. We knew it would be a wasted year. Someone had to play since the milb players weren't ready.
  18. Could be. They needed someone to play and the kids in the minors weren't ready so someone had to. May as well take a shot.
  19. True. That's probably why it worked out the way it did. Just like any other prospects, hopefully they will be MLB ready eventually. Keith Law said in 3 years for perez.
  20. I think they signed him with a hope for more. Didn't work. But at least they got an arm they may be useful.
  21. I think we were told they wanted a quicker not prolonged turn around. I don't think anyone thought it would be this year.
  22. Yes, but then took 19 year olds for the rest of the trade. They may look at a couple for now players, but the focus is too improve for the up coming years.
