  1. Personally, I would not want harbaugh. He is such a volatile guy that I don't see him lasting anymore than 4-5 years. I'm sure he'll do all for that time but he will not be a long term fix for consistency.
  2. I would bet they keep Eberflus as the administrator and bring in a new oc with the new qb. Eberflus and pols will find a DC familiar with the cover 2 defense.
  3. Probably, with statement about the staff soon to come.
  4. I think overall he just hasn't made the progress that a future franchise QB needed to make. Is he serviceable, yes. If they were picking 18 in the first round, you can make a case to keep him. But with a chance to get a true franchise QB who can make everyone around him better and win own his own, they should take it. This is if they think one is available.
  5. That would be where I would go. Need to see what their board looks like.
  6. I don't follow college football enough to say who it is or if there is one. If they think there is one they need to take him. He doesn't need to be elite right away but he needs to be good next year. The second pick needs to be a lineman on either side of the ball. I would go OL if there is one worth their grade.
  7. Yes. The winner get the division title and 2 seed. Loser gets 6 seed
  8. I doubt it. It's at the joint. More likely a subluxation.
  9. The best way to have sustained success is to have a QB who makes everyone else around them better and can win games on his own. This is not Fields.
  10. Everyone loves to work for JR. He is very loyal and keeps people around forever. It's good job security to work for him.
  11. That's the Boras MO though. I don't think it has anything to do with the teams. It more Boras dragging it out.
  12. I believe your excuse was that they wanted to evaluate Fields for one more year and had such limited draft capital that they deemed that more valuable. I remember reading the somewhere right before the draft, in the Athletic, I think.
  13. For bragging right when im at EAA-Oshkosh this summer it means everything.
  14. Yep, as usual Boras lives the power of controlling the off season and making teams squirm. Hopefully, teams get tired of that first and move on to Cease.
  15. The cotton candy ones are great if you freeze them and use them as summer snacks.
  16. If they think one of them is that franchise QB, then fine. But I was also talking about drafts over the next couple of years. I can't say I have any valid opinion on them.
  17. Agreed. The only caveat, is that QB in this draft? If they think he is, they need to take him. If not, trade down and compile draft capital to trade up in later drafts to find one.
  18. He's entitled to his opinion. He can laugh all he wants. I try not to laugh at others just try to educate. Still doesn't change the fact that nothing is 100% guaranteed or that there 0% change of anything happening. Pressures from other teams or superiors change all the dynamics.
  19. OK. If you said that, I would just say I disagree that's it's a given. It probable but until we see the final package, I'm not going to give it a zero chance. All it takes is one desperate GM. As someone said earlier"teams never learn. "
  20. I never put words in your mouth (ick) only responding to what you say. You said that negotiating goes. Team one goes high, team 2 goes low (which we had to discuss to get you to say) then they meet in the middle. Your scenario totally neglects the possibility of pressure from one or more other teams involved and changing the entire dynamic. This is not my putting words in your mouth it's correcting your flawed logic and scenario.
  21. You are starting to grasp the basics of negotiating. Now let's take the next step. It could go this way but it could also change where other pitchers are taken off the market and a team gets desperate and either meets or comes much closer to the original demands than they wanted to. This is why the team trading the player waits. Niw it could backfire and the team offering the best prospects pivots and acquires a different player. Now the the reading has lost leverage and gets a lesser deal. Any of these scenarios are possible. It is not a static process.
  22. Again, that was early on in the negotiations. I wouldn't expect anyone to pay that kind of premium either. That was the starting point, not the end.
  23. Agreed. As much as fans or media think they know about the players or inner working of the teams, they don't. There are too many things going on that aren't public.
