  1. Its a joke. Humor. Soxtalk complains about everything.
  2. Sure it does. Teams never learn. They will do crazy things when they get desperate. I think you inverted your math and numbers.
  3. Soxtalk would be disappointed if it was Ohtani. People would complain that he is only a DH next year and the Sox have plenty of them. It a message board.
  4. This is why definitive declarations on who is available for trade and who isn't and what teams will trade for a given player doesn't make sense.
  5. Thanks, that makes me feel better. Not surprising I was being to literal and looking at it as an editor.
  6. Using using the term "was" is concerning.
  7. Or just have fun poking the bear. Who is absolutely sure what the Orioles and other teams are currently offering and will offer for Cease. Not what the should offer but what they are and should offer.
  8. Agreed. I will accept it but be very skeptical until we see how the QBs then drafted by perform and how the bears progress.
  9. Good points. However he just hasn't progressed to the point of the franchise type QB. Will he be good, possibly. But if they have the chance to get a true franchise player, they should take it. If the team improves as is the goal, they won't have this type of chance for years.
  10. How do you know that no one else is offering this type of prospect?
  11. Not during the semester break. Time for brain mush.
  12. Nor should it be with all of their needs.
  13. I have no idea. I don't have any inside information. My assumption is the want the best deal they can get. The bidding and market will dictate what that is regardless of a fans or even a GMs valuation.
  14. That's their choice. It's good to know that you are that closely tied to the team and their inner circle.
  15. We'll see where the market takes it.
  16. Of course there are. It goes back to his valuation of Cease. Now you throw in the variable of his valuation of Cease compared to other pitchers available. If he has other valued higher he may need to bid more on them, if there is more competition for them. If he values Cease higher but the price for the others is lower, he would look at the difference between the two and decide which offer is best for his team. That's why they get paid and also why they get fired if they make the wrong decision to often.
  17. True, there are occasional useful discussions.
  18. I agree. I just don't think Fields has done enough that they should come to this conclusion. However, just like with the Sox, it's their team so they need to trust in their guys
  19. Isn't that what fan boards are for though? Wasting time.
  20. I don't think that different. If he is set on his offer and won't change it, that is exactly saying he knows what Cease is worth, at least in his mind. It's an good quality to stick to your opinion but it could cost you a player. You knows maybe he's right and the players he keeps will help the team more in the long run than Cease.
  21. At this point it's just to drive up the post numbers as the semester hasn't started and I'm bored with no one around.
  22. Wish I would have known just bought a new one. ?
